    As far as the question about not believing in a wrathful God...thats hard. I've been there. When I was younger God/religion was always used as a tool to scare or make you feel guilty about things. So growing up I'd see these people who just had all this love for him and would just smile ear to ear at the mention of his name and I couldn't understand why. How? I was terrified. So, as an adult I did some serious soul searching and praying and eventually figured out that is why I felt that way. So basically I had to UNLEARN all the things I was taught growing up. It was easier for me to do that picturing God as loving and never angry or wrathful, it was the God that I needed at the time to open the door in my heart to let him in. Soon after (and currently) I started reading my Bible and I realize that he IS a wrathful God WHEN ITS CALLED FOR but that it's never with out reason, and so far I've haven't read of a time when he was wrathful when he hasn't warned them atleast 3 times ahead of time to knock it off, and they didn't, so that that point can't you really feel sorry for them?

    I’m glad that God is a God of wrath. God does not let Sin go unpunished, he does have a plan of forgiveness. It is Through his mercy he is patient with us. And he probably also gives us a sort of handicap because after all we are mere humans in a spiritual battle of epic proportion‘s. By the time God shows wrath humanity has been pushing him to the limits of his patience, you and I would also show wrath. And when we admit and accept that this is not our world our game our stage or anything like that, we begin to understand why he can do anything he wants at any time.

      The third question is the hardest. I have always had a hard time seeing God as a vengeful God, sending wrath. I certainly believe that he leads with the heart and, what may seem like wrath, is actually a path of understanding and experience He's sending us through for a purpose we may never fully understand. I'm going to go back and listen to what Paul says in all three Chapters and see if my interpretation matches at all.

    I know this is old but our FATHER IN HEAVEN is just that a father he loves his children and is saddened when he has to punish them trying to guide his children to the path but most ignoring or not listening and sin can not be in his presence 😔😢😢

    My answer to your last question is , i look at God as our earthly father, meaning when as a kid we did wrong my dad would get angry and punish but when we did right he was very slow to anger, same way with God , he love us so much , but when we turn away into sin he shows hes anger and wrath :)

    Correct me if I’m wrong but I feel mostly for the last two questions Jesus is the answer and actually for all three questions. If they question God’s faithfulness look at what Jesus did for us, and if you don’t believe in a wrathful God then again look at why Jesus sacrificed himself. To save us from God’s righteous judgement, to save us from the punishment of death for breaking his law.

      @BranchTogether  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the response. We believe the faithfulness of coming back to God's Word each day will eventually produce great spiritual fruit in your life. You may not feel like each experience is significant in itself, bit over to.e God is shaping you. And the videos also are intended to be a starting point, not a replacement for your time with God. Take some time to reread the chapter and quietly ask God to speak to you. Just keep putting yourself in a place expecting Him to speak to you and He will!

      @@BranchTogether Its been my experience that faith and belief in God, the Father, and Holy Spirit is a mix of academic (the Word) and spiritual experience. I can easily get into a divine experience listening to a powerful song or listening to a motivational sermon. Yet, the Word is what sets the foundation for me and gives me knowledge (and sometimes confusion) and adds depth to my faith. You said it well that these videos are not a replacement for our time with God, just one more nugget or routine that helps us be in the Word. I know I struggle to keep God center stage as the day unfolds and I blend into the flesh and ways of the world. Yet, the more we're in the Word, pray, listen to uplifting music, be around other thirsty Christians, amazing transformation takes place. Thank you BT for making your videos available!

    What is the meaning of Romans 3:20? For by the law is the knowledge of sin?

    • @nethinimwong
      @nethinimwong 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      NLT version says "The law simply shows us how sinful we are."
      My interpretation is that if God doesn't set out the laws of e.g "Thou shalt not steal", we wouldn't know that stealing is a sin. Therefore, the law shows us the parameters of sin/wickedness, hence through the law we know how sinful we are!
      What do other people think? :)

    • @turontan09
      @turontan09 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nethinimwong no one can ever made right with God by doing the law. I don't really get the NLT bible when it says the law simply shows us how sinful we are. What law that makes us sinful?

    • @nethinimwong
      @nethinimwong 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@turontan09
      Romans 7:20 "Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin."
      I think what Paul was saying was that the law (e.g. ten commandments) tells us what things are sinful (e.g. stealing, killing, etc.) Because we are sinful human beings, we only know what sin is when we refer back to the law. However, as Paul continues to write in the later chapters of Romans, even though we continue to sin by falling short of and disobeying the law, our sins are completely forgiven because Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice!
      Basically, we know what our sins are and when we sin because the law tells us which things count as sin.
      I think a further examination of Romans 7 would clarify things a lot more!! God bless!

    • @nethinimwong
      @nethinimwong 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@turontan09 What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, "You shall not covet." But sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of covetousness. For apart from the law, sin lies dead. I was once alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin came alive and I died. The very commandment that promised life proved to be death to me. For sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through it killed me. So the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good. Did that which is good, then, bring death to me? By no means! It was sin, producing death in me through what is good, in order that sin might be shown to be sin, and through the commandment might become sinful beyond measure. For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, sold under sin. For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good. So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me.
      Romans 7:7‭-‬20

      @@nethinimwong thanks! I just wonder why he did not mention about those laws that points out to our sins and he did not even give an example of those laws. And that made me really confuse of what law that was not made void as mention in verse 31.

    Life is in the blood - to be carnal minded is death
    Jesus preached truth whilst in a body of flesh and blood, but jesus denied to himself of the flesh, the carnal mind.... so by his blood alone, which has the life of the father in it, we are saved by the works of the father doing his work through him, and because he spoke against what they believe, they killed him.
    Jesus is the lamb of God that sacrificed himself for the father.... He was already with the Father in all his glory, and sacrificed that time when he chose to take on being crucified to the flesh of a man, and leave the light of the father knowing he was to also face a horrific death at the end.... but knew he would return.

    I think God is love and wrathful. Someone who can’t accept the wrath of God, in my mind, can’t seem to understand the concept of hell. He created it, did He not? For what purpose did He create it?
    Ultimately, I believe we are saved from Gods wrath (His Holiness).

  • @thatoneguy1299
    @thatoneguy1299 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    My only question is if God wanted to destroy us but Jesus proposed the idea of the sacrifice. I think they both planned this but others disagree. Also anyone who says they can't accept a god of wrath sound foolish. It doesn't matter what you accept because there's only 1 fundamental truth. I can't accept that the DMV is slow and lame but that's reality.
