I was born in Buddhism family , but when i was 15years old I became a christian through Korean missionary school founded in my city. I learned and read bible often when I was in high school , also my life definitely changed by the name of Jesus. today I listen message about the Gospel is realize me why I still not feel confident to tell the Gospel to my family? when I try to say about the name of Jesus i will not comfortable and shy, so it realize my belief is still weak. So I still don't know what's Im gonna do for next step. May God bless you all.

Sal Angkor , my name is Consuelo. I am in a similar situation. And I would love to have a group chat of people that are feeling the same fears. And maybe we can challenge ourselves and see what are the results.

I encourage you to read the whole chapter of John14 and parts of chapter 16verses7,8 ,13-15. We need the Holy Spirit to help us . Therefore after reading just take some time in faith and pray that the Holy Spirit helps you. When we acknowledge to God that we are weak, he helps us by His Spirit and his strength is made perfect in our weakness. We are all learning to depend on him to help us.

The weight of this chapter is heavy.
It’s so clear and to the point. There is no question that we are all sinners, in desperate need of a Savior.
It sets up the Good News so well.

I believe the reason I don’t share as often as I should is because I have been told that I was “preachy and pious” when I did. I don’t want to be seen as such. My goal is to live it. I want people to see that I am different from the world and then ask why. I want others to see Jesus in me. I should speak more but I write better than I speak.

Take a look around. Sound familiar? We are arriving at a time where we will be strongly persecuted for loving the Lord. Endure and keep the faith and we will be rewarded.

My son is not a Christian and he does NOT want me to push my beliefs on him. And many other unbelievers feel this way. But their hearts just are not ready to recieve the truth. I believe now that using wisdom as to how you witness or waiting until God says; hes ready to recieve, now is a good time to plant the seed of truth ( witness ) Im a work in progress.

I’ve been thinking about that question your unbelieving friend asked you all day. I can’t figure out a good answer… The thing that comes to my mind is that the fear of rejection and the fear of man is greater than the fear of the Lord. So convicting!!

    • @adamielslay3210
      @adamielslay3210 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The answer is there are just not very many real Christion's in this world. People just go to church spend time with God and go back to sinning 100% against him. In one of the gospels God said i do not know you. In my case whats the point of telling something to some one when it just falls on deaf ears any ways. God will work things out for them in is timing and if you jump on the wafon too soon you may end up furthering that person from Jesus and it would be all your fault for making them angry at God.

I am thinking at this question too...and i feel guilty because i don't tell people about God so often, but now i am determined to tell people about God and i pray for that God will help me and give me changes to show Him that i want to tell others about Him

I just came across your reading program, and I have some others as well. I must confess that my past has been full of many, many sinful choices, and decisions all of which has led me to the consequences of sin, which is death, separation from the Lord. I feel as if I have lived a life of falling away from the Lord and His church. Please lift me up in fervent prayer that I might humbly submit my whole heart and life to God. I read where Psalms tells us that the entrance of the Word brings Light/Life. That is my personal goal in seeking more of His Word through the teaching and reading of the Bible, and inviting the Holy Spirit to take up residence in my life. I have called on the Lord, and do believe that God has raised Him from the dead, all for the redemption of my life. Thank you for this great opportunity to share and confess with you. And as Jeremiah says that if I seek God’s face with my whole heart, that He will guild me. To God be the Glory.

I was impressed with your friend asking you, ‘why aren’t more Christians talking to him about Jesus’ For me, talking to folks about Jesus isn’t as easy as it is to talk about the weather. There is some bravery that has to go along with my discussion. I have to put aside what someone might think about me and put it out there for someone who might need to to hear what I have to say, even if it doesn’t sink in for years. It might make the difference as to if they spend eternity in Heaven or in Hell. I don’t know. But God does. I wish that there was a friend who could tell me what they see in me like Paul would. We could use some more Paul’s, that’s for sure. Many folks avoid saying anything or are afraid to hurt anyone’s feelings so I am left to self analyze, which is not the best way to see one’s self. Thank you for your teaching!

I'm trying to get thru the Bible and I just don't have the skills to study what I read. It helps to have myself questions asked of me on the chapter read it seems to get into my head then not just another chapter. I believe Paul is excited because we are saved by Grace and believe by faith the salvation that Jesus died for us.

I very much appreciated this episode due to the instruction at the end. It's more than just a book reading, with a face. You asked us to read the first 5 verses, asked us to look inward, asked us to question the real meaning of this and overwhelmingly.. it ignites us to act. More episodes with this kind of opportunity to act would be massively helpful. Thank you! #GodisGreat

Theres sooo many to try to help out in the world, plenty of room to get hated on for it but I’m worthy of that. Just look how beautiful he is. Thank You Branch Together💐

First of t this my first time here. I am so happy. It's just what I've needed for ages. I was just listening to someone reading the Bible. But it's so great that you give us questions and things to think about every time.
I think that The Gospel means the whole story of Jesus' life on earth including His death and resurrection.
I know what your friend means. I try to live and love like Jesus and love all, but I've tried telling others about Jesus and i screw it up every time." They will know we are Christians by our love" -not human love, but Jesus love. Live Jesus, love people. 💗🎉

At my personal level i really found it hard to understand this chapter whereby it made me have hard time to continue reading the chapter following this chapter but listening to this has made me understand and reflect on what the gospel is; I'm I willing to spread the gospel just the way Paul was excited to meat the Romans and tell them about this good news. A clear picture of what we are to do as believers has been laid down and hope this chapter will get to remind me/us of who God is and what he desires from us. # spread the Gospel

About your friends question - I am only recently saved, but a barrier for me would be social anxiety in spreading the news to strangers. One day soon I hope to spread the gospel in a way I can be most effective, though writing. That's not to say I wont ever speak the gospel, I just think I'll be more effective in the former.

I believe as a Christian if you are living the life of a Christian, and loving and caring for others then that is one way of sharing the gospel. Because God asks us to be loving and kind and caring for others and not to be in judgment over them. To me sharing the gospel doesn't mean that you have to go out and be speaking verses by verses to people God is love and if we are loving others that can change their heart within itself people just need to see that others care and love them no matter where they're at and their Walk of Life. Thank you for these awesome Bible studies that you have posted

I LOVE to share the gospel whenever I can, but I also afraid of percussion, last Summer this lady always came down my street on her walk, and I found out what time she walked so I could see her, but sadly one time I had talked about going to church and that I was in Nursery at church, then I never saw her again, so I figured that she didn't like me because of my realign, and that made me sad, because I thought that I was making a new friend. 😔 I LOVE your Branch Together Bible study, I understanding the bible more thanks to you. The fundamental foundation is that we put no other god before God. People read this as reptiles, statues, etc. I believe when you put things before God, like alcohol and drugs, you have made them your God. So, it is not a visible shrine or God, but a deep hidden one. My prayers to those that suffer, only in God and Jesus Christ will you find eternal happiness. We are blessed.

I think that the gospel is the way god shows us how to live life in our days so that we earn the eternal life. I'm only learning. I've come out of prison in Spain in 2015 7 years sentence then I got deported to uk where I got my self really bad with drink and drugs and ive been sober now and in recovery for 15 months and only god has been able to restore me to sanity. On question 3 I think that he's totally right because my head tries to get me in to darkness everyday and I fall in to darkness without knowing but I fight my self out through prayers. About preaching the gospel I attend aa meetings every day and I allwais talk about god as he's my higher power.

    • @destineydarling9210
      @destineydarling9210 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

You never have to earn eternal life. It is a free Gift from God! The Bible says “the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” Romans 6:23
Just by accepting Jesus as lord in your life you receive this gift. Once you see the goodness of God you want to obey his commands and do his good works, but good works will never allow you to come before the father. It’s only through acceptance of his son Jesus that we get eternal life.

WOW this really spoke to me, especially with where I am in my life today. Thank you so much for your devotion to this ministry and this wisdom. I've never heard this exact translation of Romans 1 either and it really did a number on me, in a good way :)

Great explanation, Jared. It's nice to have you back reading and "breaking down" the message.
Gotta bring up the elephant in the room. Paul clearly points out homosexuality in this chapter as one of the evils "man" is committing as a sin. How are we as Christians resolving that contradiction between society and the Word? While I find it hard to believe that people choose to have this frame of mind in the face of all the struggles and pain it brings to their lives instead of it being a "personality" given from God, I also struggle that there is a greater, significant divide occurring between people of faith and their stance on the issue. There are divides on a lot if issues in the church - women pastors, drinking (at all), divorce, abortion, married men as pastors and of course homosexuality. If it is so clear-cut as Paul is spelling it out in Romans, why is there any room for conversation? Why hasn't "the church" made this stance a hard line in the sand? How can there be any deviation? Certainly we are called to hate the sin and not the sinner, but it does seem that there are plenty of people (more so today) on either side of that divide. Is one more right than the other? Are they both wrong?
Thanks for listening. It's obviously deeper than where I'm taking it. Rob and I have had this conversation a few times. Look at the Catholic church. A priest recently came out as a gay man and the church as said it's ok for him to continue leading his flock. I'm just not sure where I come down on that. If we are not infallible, who's right and who makes that decision? In the end, we are imperfect people reading and interpreting the Word.
The easy answer, in my mind, is God. But, again, the answers in the Bible are not as clear as I'd like them to be at times. If they were, would we really have the divide we have? Or, is it our sinful nature that gets in the way of hearing and following the Word?
Thanks again for listening. I'm looking forward to the rest of the book.
    Chris

Great comment Chris. Without a doubt, Paul makes statements that should have significant impact on our theological position on homosexuality in this chapter. Unfortunately, to address that subject with the truth and grace with which it needs to be tacked, we need some time. We hope to do videos on theological topics like this, but are still working on getting all the volunteers in place to make these daily videos run smoothly. So keep tuning in and we will get there. If you want to talk about this subject offline, I'd like to offer that we hop on the phone and talk through it. It's important. Let me know.

The church on earth is made of people and we all are fallible. There is no perfect institution on earth. Now with that said, we feel the pressure to follow society and to start a conversation with them without repulsing them so we start to compromise at the expense of the Word of God. It is a sign of the time that we are in when we manipulate the Word to tickle our ears and wimp out on the tough subjects. God wants us to use our bodies for His glory and when we offer our vessels that were meant for His glory to satisfy our own lusts than that is idolatry. Numerous times Israel turned to other gods and God called it adultery. He looks at our unfaithfulness to Him and graciously covers us. How deep and unfathomable are the riches of His love. The deviation from that straight line exists as the result of taking our eyes off of God and placing them on the world. In our darkened hearts we reason that it so we can share God's love with people and then become entangled in the affairs of this world. We are warned several times even when we are trying to help the sinner not to get tangled up in it ourselves. God has given us the boundaries to walk in and they are for our good, but others are trying to move the boundary markers. We need to hold fast to the truth. I believe the Bible is clear and your questions stem from the fallen human behavior you see around you.

I agree whole heartedly, this bible study really took me for a surprise. I'm late in getting this(2021). I started going back through the Bible after the 7th time, and I started your channel back in February, I gained more understanding each day, however, verse 18 and afterwards, you lost my interest, if we, children of God, hold back on the word of God, how can we reach out to our brothers and sisters that are looking on the outside at our dim light, we shouldn't surrender/compromise, it's our duty to tell the truth completely, especially the word of God, Jesus is the truth. I'm just sad, you didn't discuss this in depth, I thank you and God bless you all for what you're doing for the Kingdom of God.

Amen, God has chosen Paul for that ministry to share Jesus... And it is now about the Obedience to the Faith.. we know that Romans introduced many gods that time and Paul want it the Jesus is the Son of God who gives salvation to the world..they have their own religion to obey but Paul insists this obedience to the Faith about Jesus which shows grace from God.
