- Hai Guys, thanks for stopping by. Today view im just want to compare with and without exhaust silencer does it gonna reduce your top speed. But im liking the damped sound of the exhaust and i could care less on the top speed.

I bought this exact same Silencer/Muffler about 3 Years ago for about $50 AUD (around $30 US) as I live in town on a half acre block & have to warm up & run my 30cc baja every month or so when Im not using it much & without the Silencer/Muffler it sounds EXACTLY like a 500cc Motor Cross Bike in my back yard! I didnt expect he Muffler to do much at all as although it has a steel mesh type thing inside with holes in it, you can still see straight through the middle of it & through to the other side, but, it works Amazingly! I would say its about a 30% - 45% decrease in loudness! Exactly what I needed & as its "Straight-Through" it does NOT effect performance in any way! Brilliant!

Get a 3 chamber tuned pipe! These single chamber pipes are obnoxiously loud, under perform, and cause uneven wear on the piston. After a short time, your engine becomes harder to start from using these single chamber pipes because of improper back pressure. 3 chamber pipes are also used in 1/8th 2 stroke nitro scale racing racing for years, but also perform the same with larger gas engines.

@@yairc there ya go! That’s exactly what happens. These loud pipes give the impression of massive power because we connect loud with power, but that’s not necessarily true. You might get the impression that you are getting more bottom end of these single chambered pipes, but overall power band is just horrible, and cause the piston to wear more on one side due to less back pressure. My friend Angel from FG Supply was always the fastest and most powerful with just a 23cc Zenoah, and a Samba 3 chambered tuned pipe. Everyone else was just making noise. 😂 3 chambered pipes, especially side pipes, are the absolute best. Braaaap on!

I am also passionate about RC but why not just battery? It doesn't make any noise and it's so much more powerful than gasoline/nitro ... I understand the concept of loving the mechanics of an engine, but it suffices to have 2 RC and the problem is solved
Hai, i respect your opinion and i have 3 type of RC power unit. Battery, Nitro and Gasoline. To me it down to running cost and convenient. Gas just few bucks for few hours of playing. Battery especially LiPo has very expensive and not to say complicated care to it but rather not convenient. Just my opinion. But again, engine RC are with it incovenient too...with engine tuning, gas mixtures, space to play..
@@steelorse i think it's not all about speed and torque, but as you said, the love of tuning and running real engine, the sound, the rumbling noise.. it's the same as why car enthusiasts love muscle car or sports car over prius or tesla, although electric cars are easier and cheaper to maintain, also has instant torque and higher speed..i love nitro rc, but have plenty of electric rc too for convenient reason..can play anywhere, easier to start, less thing to bring/prepare, faster, etc..

Hello, great video. What kind of Engine do you have? 29cc or 36CC? and what kind of exhaust pipe is it? Some reason the sound is so much better in your video but not sure if is it because of your microphone or an editing sound software that makes it sound nicer. I watched many Rovan Baja 5B videos on youtube and the sound is awful. I'm looking to get one for my 5-year-old son's birthday soon and I'm hoping to achieve the same sound that you have on your Roven RC. Thanks
Hai, mine is 32cc rovan engine..stock factory rovan exhaust. The sound might due to gopro mic.

I got one but the only problem is that it snapped off after just a couple roll overs. It needs a U bend and a secure mounting bracket.
yeah..same here bro...due to the heat, the silicone hose soften and it come loose..what you can go is use some spring and hook it to the rear parts. I have change my exhaust to dual tip silencer...

i have the 36cc motor and the muffler keeps rattling off. it won't tighten any more. how are you keeping yours on the end of the pipe?

@@yairc just the silencer. the rubber gets hot then soft and comes off. how do you or anyone brace the silencer? i do get it very tight even different hose clamps
RCgene get rubber tubing such as heater hose specialised for hot water or radiators
just tighten it directly without the the tube thing

Hai, i assume you using a hump pack 6V battery for the receiver right?. It is normal if you use 6V hump pack. You could use Lipo battery for the receiver onboard car. Im using 2S 1500mah Lipo battery for my receiver. But be warn your servo may be damage prematurely, to prevent this premature damage, you could use step down module for the battery. 7.4 to 6V but still using the Lipo battery. Ill try so see if i can find a international link for the step down module.

There isn't that much difference really. You might get around a 30% power boost over the 29cc engines.
agreed!! i don't know bout you guys, since i upgraded from 29cc to 32cc, i always broke my pull starter..is that normal? but now i change to easy pull starter and it has been good since. BTW, sorry for the late reply.
@@yairc broke mine on my km blade 32 cc in process of repairing it I hoping alloy dogbones will help as the plastic ones are the reason my pull start broke

Running way to lean that engine is starving and theirs hardly any smoke 💨 meaning no oil. That engine won’t last long like that.
