After all the money down the drain without any appreciation and all the sacrifice and anxiety of the marriage, the kids will probably never come to see you and they'll be counting the days until you die so they can get pillage and spend whatever's left of your estate. You'll have flown coach your entire life for the benefit of the family but when you die they'll fly first class with your money and probably never reflect a moment to thank you for all the hard work and sacrifice. I'd take the 50+ watches I accumulated and a few million in cash I'd saved and pay for someone to take care of me in the home my ex didn't take on the way out the door and leave what ever's left to whom ever takes the best care of me in my last days. I'd gamble on that scenario over the marriage route any day.

So my answer is don't have a ceremony for people you are not marrying and have a great time buying watches, clothes or travel. Forget the brainwashed idea of spending a ton of money for a one day ceremony. That is a big waste of money.
