But I don't know, why they are really so much expensive..I have a fake "Skirmish Mini". But its not the real one. I am not so much big fan of folding knives. My friend your comments about D2 gave me pause , you know Dr. Larrin classified ingot D2 in the same class as S35vn for edge retention we start talking about CPM D2 it performs measurably better in toughness and initial sharpness ( these are the benefits of CPM steel , the minute increase in edge retention is gained from the increase in initial edge sharpness.
Is it worth $200 though?
Not in my opinion, but I’m no metallurgist.

You are not wrong. Funny, when I heard the price, I thought, "not bad for a Benchmade". It's sad. They have a few designs that would be on my list to buy except for the price.
I like the size and blade and profile and a lot about this knife.
I just can’t get over the price and I can’t stand grivory.
Someone told me that have some upgraded or premium grivory that feels much better in hand but I’ve not handled that one.

7:09 Yeah, many of their more tactical Black Class knives are like that…
I find a lot more positive things about Benchmade that I don’t get too bothered anymore that they cost ~20% more than I’d like-they’re solely American made, they have one of the most extensive knife warranties offered, their employees seem proud to work there, there is usually an ample aftermarket if you wanted to customize anything, etc.
They do have a good warranty that I like!

@@TimsSchoolOfFish I’ve noticed that some grivory feels better than others. The Taggedout scales feel fairly nice, while the Bugout scales are just acceptable IMO. I’d like to feel the CF-Elite grivory.

I can only assume being that close to Portland, Benchmade is dealing with high employment costs, probably near anti-business corporate tax rates and looney regulatory compliance costs. They also don't have production outside of the US from my understanding, that could offset a lower pricing structure of the stuff made in the US. I would love to see their books.
All that said, these are pretty looned-out prices and the sole reason out of all of my many knives, not one is a Benchmade. I do like the look of this. Grivory doesn't really bother me, nor does CPM-D2. My issue is the price for said materials.
If I ran Benchmade, I would seriously consider moving shop to a location in the US more friendly to business. But who knows, somebody is buying their knives or they'd be out of business.
I'm willing to pay a little extra for American production, even for these materials, just not $180.
The Adira is the first BM I'm legitimately tempted to bother shelling out the cash for.

I agree. While it is a neat looking knife, i will never buy one or any other benchmade stuff. I am not an independently wealthy person and never will. They can keep their knives. It's personal preference so to each their own lol.

The G10 from the S45VN Tagged Out would have been nice on this. And that clip sucks... Just terrible design. And it would've been fun to see CruWear on this, yeah. With the AWT scales and normal clip, it's my favorite knife 😂

A $38 dollar knife at best. I’ve gotten much better knives for way less than that. I redoubt I’ll ever get a Benchmade. Brand loyalty has reached idolatry levels for some folks. I appreciate your honest opinion. I’ll take your learned opinion over most people’s fact.
