Golf always held two important positions from my teens until I cut the cord in 2008 at the age of 45. It was a PC- or console-based recreational activity (Jack Nicholas with Accolade, Tiger Woods with EA Sports) and a televised Sunday sedative (some of my best naps were during the majors). Beyond that, I couldn't be more disinterested in the future of golf if I tried.
