- This is best guide to French prop bomber aircraft in War Thunder. Here you will find detailed information on all bombers in the regular tech tree. Each bomber will be reviewed with a pros and cons section together with detailed information about bombloads, turrets and armament. I will also give my opinion on how to best use all the bomber aircraft. Lastly, I will make my recommendation on which bombers to use and which to skip. Hope you enjoy.

i swear the f.222.2 is a pain to kill if you dont have a plane that can climb well
With how big it is and how shitty Gaijin has made the 7mm machineguns be even with AP-I belts, you really need a 12.7mm or better to reliably kill this flying village, which you really only find on the American planes or on the Mig 3-15. The Mig can easily climb and catch up to the f.222 because russian bias go brr, the P36 can climb up to altitude but catching up might be a bit harder if the f.222 has a good lead, and the other american tubs like the F2A and F3F, yeah they aren't catching up for a while. Although the F2A is the most dangerous of the bunch with its three different 12.7mm guns, to the other planes' single 12.7.
@@joaogomes9405 i disagree with it being hard to kill with 7mms. It's relatively easy to aim for the engines since it's basically a stationary target, and a few good bursts will set them on fire. Fire to the engines = GG.
That being said, those are HUGE air quotes in between the keysentence "If you can reach it". Few planes are able to climb AND catch up to the F2222 within a reasonable time. So in that regard, sure this thing is hard to kill. Not to mention a single one of this is enough to destroy a base and take out the airfield at the same time. So two or more of these are basically guaranteed win for the french force.
But aside from that, just aim for the engines if you have the chance to shoot at it. It will take some time, but rest assured that the moment you saw the flames, he's already dead.

23:04 one NC 222.3 had a badass history, after the french armistice they where many french armed forces went rogue disobeying their surrender orders and kept fighting and resisting Against the german military forces
one french bomber crew hoped inside a NC 222.3 and flew it longing along the the northern european coasts, when they where reaching Danemark they flew south toward it was night when they made their vengeful bombing run on Berlin when they emptied their load, they then returned to France using the same path they come from, when Landed back in France the crew hid the bomber inside an isolated Farm hangar and the crew joined england to continue the fight
sadly during the years of the occupation the germans found the bomber and destroyed it in vengeance for the humiliation
it was the first time Berlin was bombed in the war
(edit : they started their flight from the french region of Bretagne)

French planes had a very cool camouflage during the WWII
it actully says "NC 223.3" but, well, thats a mere digit ...
I mean, when 1.7 the f2222 could handle an entire match alone (on all the 3 base and the 4 base maps)
it was 8x50kg bombs per base (4 base map) so you could destroy 6,125 bases
and 7x50kg bombs per base (3 map base) and more 27x50kg bombs on the airfield (you could destroy everything and still have some bombs left)
F.222.2 is 2.3 now, so it does not face maps with bombable airfield anymore.
@@EnsianceII’ve base wiped before so yes it does. I was using it and didn’t make it to other bases before other bombers. They got shot down and I dropped all 52 100lbders on the airfield and destroyed it.
the giant vertical stabilizer on the pb4y is a con?
For sure, it presents a huge target and once it has been shot off, which happens very often if attacked from behind, you are pretty much back to the hangar. You can stay airborne but almost all control is out the window.

Except for the reserve planes. Picking France, Sweden or Russia in 1.0 is playing baby easy mode for babies.
My first real grind was France and while it was and is difficult boy is it fun
