There’s not a single thing wrong with little boys playing with makeup!!! Or little girls playing with toy cars and trucks!!! Let those kids be kids!!! Time is so fleeting and precious when they’re little!!! Zabrena, you are the very epitome of what a wonderful mother is!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Can I just say as a gay man who works in the makeup industry I love that you let your kids be kids and don’t limit them just based on gender. I wish my up bringing was a little more like that. Thank you for letting your kids be kids and explore the things they like
I hated Barbies and always played with my brothers toys and only began getting into makeup in my 30’s. That was more fine than my brothers ever playing with my dolls or kitchen toys, messing around with anything feminine, my parents would flip the f out. I think we owe it to our kids to be far more accepting of anything they choose to play, learn, be about and not have them stuck in boxes of what’s acceptable. Parents say they love their children unconditionally however majority of parents absolutely have conditions on that love, which is the problem.
I'm a female and never remember playing with barbies, stuff like that. My favorite toys were Tonka trucks and digging in the back mud pile with my friend (a boy ) playing with the little Army men. I grew up to be the girliest girl too. Kids have enough to deal with when older, let them play.
I love that you let your kids be kids. I have two boys, and they LOVE watching me do my makeup and nails. I even let them apply blush occasionally, and we have salon days when they want their nails painted. This is in conjunction with them being more traditionally "male," playing with "boy" toys and getting filthy playing outside. I don't feel comfortable telling them "no" just because something is traditionally male or female, though we have had to have talks about that because of what classmates and/or teachers (and even family) may say. I just want them to be who God created and not stifle their beautiful little spirits.
I am badly spiritally damaged. It does my heart good to hear a Christian mother letting her kids be kids. Dolls, makeup, trains, Legos, you name it. Let them play. Childhood passes in a blink. I have a 27 y/o, and I'm going to be a grandma!
My youngest will be 33 in April which I can’t believe. Your right let them be kids because in a blink of an eye they will be grown and gone. I have 2 granddaughters and 1 great grandsons which blows my mind because I’m not old enough to be a great grandma, lol. Congratulations, being a grandma is the most rewarding part of being a mom first. You will absolutely love it. Zabrina is one of the sweetest U tubers that I watch. She’s honest and only wants what’s best for you not for her. ❤
I'm going to purchase it because your skin looks beautiful! I'm in my early 60s (61 to be exact) and I think I could enjoy the primer. I love that you allow your children to be themselves. Kudos to you, Mom! ❤️🤗
I absolutely love your honesty! I felt the same exact way, when used as a primer I also used the same liquid foundation and set. Then I used a different primer then this as a powder foundation, looked like a filter but still looked to heavy for the look I like for my everyday look. This should be a loose powder it is to soft for a compact powder. ❤
My son is 13 and he loves to swatch my eyeshadow palettes, he thinks it is so interesting to see different colors and formulas, and I'm ok with that. I'm so over stereotypes and people judging a mother's style of mothering. We really should be each other's cheerleaders and not judge. Only one judge matters anyway. Ok rant over haha.
Let all 3 of your kids do what Mommy does with you. Expecaily that little girl of yours. I remember doing makeup with my Mom and even my grandma. Both taught me alot about how to do makeup. And those memories I will have forever.
For me (and I do not have oily skin) the game changer has been the Elf Poorless Putty Primer. It’s amazing! I have been using the same Revlon blurring powder too and have been super happy with it. If not Revlon then I use the Elf halo powder. Both excellent results.
Would you consider doing a battle of the products? (like putting your favorite powders up against each other and crowning a winner - i only feel like the last round would need a wear test if you feel like it). It could alternatively be a i like these five powders and then what you like it for. (both could definatly be a series with different product categories i think) doesn't sound like i would like it looking heavy was already a nope for me and it breaking just seems like a nightmare :/ i think i just prefer products that work one way but works really well at that. great review
There’s a liquid version?! I’m so getting that one! Do you find that it holds up very well? I am having trouble with finding a blurring primer that actually extends the wear time of my foundation.
Awesome! Could you please share the name on the liquid version and where it can be purchased? Please and Thank you! I love the powder version but thinking 🤔 the liquid may be a little better/or at least the consistency of what I like in a primer. Have an amazing Monday!!!
I'm going to try this, and I'm going to apply the priming powder and spray setting spray on top, then apply my cream products, a little more spray (press in with a sponge), and then all powder products, and finish off with a spritz again. The ELF Stay All Day Blue Light setting spray is awesome.
I'm a professional musician and on concert nights when I was applying my makeup my young son (he was about 5 or 6) would come in and watch me for a few minutes. When I started applying my blush he would always ask me to put some on him, too. I always obliged. He was so cute. He's a grown man now, and at one point we were sharing this memory. I asked him about it, and he said he just loved the feeling of the soft brush on his face. I'm so glad I didn't make the fuss that "Boys don't wear makeup!" that some moms may have made. It was harmless and adorable, and for me, it is one of the cutest and most cherished memories I keep of his young years.
Aw wow! This is amazing, what a beautiful memory! I'm so glad you were patient and loving about it. So beautiful. I've noticed my kids like to play more with the brushes than the makeup itself and this reasoning makes perfect sense! Thanks for sharing this!
Thanks for trying this out! I’ll have to try it, and if it breaks, I’ll put it in another container. I have oily skin, been trying out new primers, and I realize it’s time for me to find a new foundation. My skin has changed & no mater what I do with what I have now, my pores show thru and parts of my face look too dry. Love your honest reviews!
Thanks for the wonderful review!! I had this powder in my hands at Walmart last week, & decided to put it back ( due to the amount of powders that I already have ) lol! It looked really beautiful on you! & I love that you allow your children to be children. I've been surrounded with homophobic people in my life who were embarrassed to be seen out in public with me once I first started to experiment with makeup. It's refreshing to see that there are still incredible people out in the world like you.
Nick, I am so sorry that you had to go through that! My heart is broken for you! My cousins (who happen to be twins) were also raised in a similar environment. Although, I was only 5 or 6 years older than they are? I always went out of my way to show them that I thought they were amazing- just the way they are! When they both decided to come out, I was honored that they told me first. (This was back in the early 2,000’s) I gave them both big hugs and let them know that I thought they were very brave for telling me. When they cried and asked me if I was disappointed in them, I was crying, too! My point is- I hope that you know that you are beautiful and special and LOVED❣️❤️💋
I'm working on my 3rd compact11 This is fantastic!! I broke my first one, so I put it in a small jar after sifting it so that it was loose and I use a small powder brush to apply.
It seems the product would be better packaged in a pot as a loose powder as it is such a soft formula. If you purchase this powder then perhaps transfer it to a pot once it inevitably breaks up.
I haven’t tried it as a primer, but I definitely will. I wonder if some people got a softer batch? I’ve had mine for a while, in my purse! Still hasn’t broke? Well, loved your review! ❤
I know, I know, I'm late to the party! 😜 I swear, I'm late to all the cool things & finds! I literally just found out about your channel & I think you're absolutely adorable. I love how honest you are, while keeping it respectful. I absolutely *LOVE* how positive & kind you are, while also being witty. It is such a nice change(for me) in the beauty space, to see people talking about using the products they already have, not shoving brand new & highend products down our throats all the time, & showing affordable drugstore products. It is a breath of fresh air, & I really appreciate that. 😊 I was wondering if you can do a proper eyeshadow look & tutorial for hooded eyes? It is so hard to get that crease to show up, when the hooded part hangs over the crease. I still haven't been able to master it. So I was wondering if you had any tips & tricks! It would be greatly appreciated! Sending all my xoxo's from Florida! -Kristi 🧡💕🧡💕
Hey Zabrena! Love this brief look at this new powder product, but I've heard a lot of "meh" about it from other TH-camrs. Because I have rosacea with weird texture, I'd buy it only in person at a store with a customer-friendly return policy. Same thing with the Revlon powder. I'd also want to read the ingredients listings, and I wonder about the possibility of flashback if you're photographed wearing either one. And I think we know the WNW would not be good as a purse compact. But I love your demonstration! And your kids should be kids for as long as they can!
Zabrena, I’ll bet that powder has some sort of silicone in it. It looks like it from this end as you applied it. Try an HD powder in the same way. I think you might find it to appear lighter on the skin, since you feel that one is heavy. I find the combinations of some ingredients do make the makeup feel heavy. Have a beautiful day!
people can be so mean... I agree with you that kids are kids, and let them play. They are just experimenting with textures and colors, and doing like mommy. Thats is all. I am glad that you are not letting this influence you negatively.
I hadn't even heard of this prior to watching your video. I will absolutely try this! Oily skin stinks and whatever helps is welcome! Just because it broke does not mean it's unusable - that powder brush will still pick up product... pressed OR loose! I'm using up the last little bit of my Essence 16hr powder foundation - you know that last little bit still pressed into the very perimeter of the pan? I just broke it up and am dipping my foundation brush into it - it may be inexpensive but I'm determined to get every last application out of it! I also wonder how the other side would have worn had you applied the WnW powder to set it rather than the Revlon. Does it work without it also being the primer??!? Even if I find one at Walmart and it's broken, I'll buy it anyway. It's a powder - it'll work! But it does make me wonder if any old powder would work in the same way.... hhmmm...
Even though broken I'd still buy it. Because can just transfer it to an empty powder container. Done this in past when compact powders or foundations get busted. Just saying! Thanks for the great (as always) videos!! Cold girl look still my fave. Now need a tutorial showing your version of touch of sunburn kiss for us residing in the lack of winter states.....
My makeups are very happy because my girls and my boy plays with them. Hey, I can not always get to all my makeup so if my children wants to help me play with them. Yay! Enjoy
I did purchase this powder and it was shipped to me. It wasn’t broken and hasn’t broke. It does a nice job looks pretty. I’m just not sure if I love it.
Zabrena this makes your skin look beautiful and l cant wait to try it. As far as brocken face powders go, if one breaks and l still want to keep it l just grind it down to a fine powder and put it into an empty loose powder dispenser ..works a treat if you dont want to waste a product.
Thank you for another honest video with realistic check-ins! My must have powder is the too faced primed and poreless... Could you do a comparison of the two and press them in the skin with a puff instead of a brush? I'm wondering if this could be a much more cost effective product!
Thanks for making this video! Your experience makes me wonder if this product would do better as a loose powder in the future! I will also say, you might find it looks less heavy if you use a fluffy brush and tap even less into the powder - I've definitely had powders pick up more than I expect! That might help with the fuller coverage and heavy look you didn't love.
Hi, I always use a powder under my foundation after watching the tip by Mrs Melissa M showing it on her channel. I believe she saw it on Wayne Goss's channel. My makeup lasts and even though I'm over 50 my skin never looks heavy and it lasts all day. I use a light No7 powder or Elfs Haloglow powder to set my makeup on my T zone and its there all day. If the wet n wild keeps breaking I would be tempted to just pop it into a loose powder pop and use it up. Waste nothing in my house 😁. Great video. xx💖💖
I let all my six babies, boys & girls play with dolls, trucks, dress up, painted their nails and toe nails, tied pony tails. So much fun for all and I got criticism too. Let them be free to be kids, they grow up way too fast x x
I remember learning my first makeup rule from my mom when I was 6 or 7: “Don’t dig in the eyeshadow.” 🤣 It’s nice that you let all your kids play in your makeup! I mean, it’s maybe not nice for you, LOL, but it is for them. 💖
I have problems with Wet and Wild pan products breaking. I bought a bronzer and when I got it home and took it out of the bag it was broke. I had a highlighter pallette break too. So I probably won't be getting this powder. I would rather buy the liquid version of it that people have been talking about. It has the same name, but it's a primer serum. I do line Wet and Wild. Thanks for the video!
Maybe the powder is that "fluffy" or soft in the pan to deliver the results it does. Perhaps pressing it harder would make it wear differently? I really liked it on you. Maybe you can make it work to your liking by applying less of it, either tapping into it more lightly or using a fluffier brush.
Bless you heart. Thanks for trying it, It’s looks beautiful, but if it is going to break that easily, yikes! I would hate to have that happen to me or anyone,
Zabrena, do you think it helped with redness? I think I’ll pick this up at some point. I’ll be ready with another container so I can use it as a loose powder, if needed.
Hello gorgeous! Always looking beautiful 🤩 I am curious to see how well it will pair with foundation power! Will you consider trying it for those of us who don't use much of liquid fondation? Maybe paired with a power foundation, it won't look like too much product on the face🤷♀️. Thank you for your great review!
Can you try it as a primer over the makeup rather than beginning the makeup. Like do a side by side that way? I’m just curious if it will be better as a primer you apply at the end of a makeup routine or as a touch up.
Zabrena I have tried the wnw primer setting powder and I love it! I did purchased from Ulta's website and it arrived unscathed; and if you know it is always a pleasant surprise when you receive all your products from Ulta's warehouse, shipped to you, unbroken! I'm even more shocked it survived the trip with Ulta's wonderful (NOT) packing skills.
So if you get this powder, close it up with a puff or sponge on the surface to hold it together. Now I just need to figure out whether to look in the Essence section or the WnW section. What WERE they thinking when they named that??
Im in my fifties and my skin is still oily, tho not as much. I tried this, and it didn't blur my pores that much (as you get older, pores get larger), but still looked very nice and did help control oil. FYI, adding any translucent powder will increase your foundation coverage,
How about putting it in container and grinding it with a pestle and make it something you can dip a brush in… since it seems to want to crumble..? Then it may also not look as heavy?
I am greatful to GOD for a beauty youtuber like you Zabrena..you have helped me save so much $ in 2021& 2022 when it comes to buying makeup &your recommendations I can always count on.I see a big saving in 2023 because of your honest reviews. Some youtubers will say anything just to stay on a PR list because they don't want to lose out on the free makeup.I buy all my makeup out of my own hard earned $ so I am careful who i listen to so I can save yearly.
Would you like it more if you used it as a primer like you did, then use another powder that you know works great as your setting powder which may keep the oil at bay and give you the finished look that you love?
This powder is awesome. If u have oily skin and work an eight hour shift and need ur makeup to last. This will do it. I put some in my tzone as a final step and it keeps me matte. But like Zebrena has said it breaks easily. I'm on my 4th from breaking. It's a shame bc one compact will last a lifetime bc u don't need much. I put the broken powder in a container and use it as a loose powder now. But I always have to buy a new one to take to work when one breaks. 😢
A makeup artist taught me to use powder before foundation back in the days when my skin was oily and before primers were common. Another trick he taught me, if it made the skin look too matte, was to lightly mist it with water and let it dry before applying foundation. Let me clarify that this was a technique he used for people on camera. It didn’t look good on my skin for normal life.
Any boy with an older sister has played with makeup, dolls and worn girl clothes at one time. Any girl with a brother has worn boy clothes and played traditional boy games. Not a big be deal.
as someone who has oily skin and visible pores, I will definitely give this product a try. It's a shame its easily breakable though, will you continue to use it?
Great video. I might consider buying since I have an oily T zone. If I can find one not broken. As for your kids…let any and all of them play with your makeup if you want. I don’t see why it’s a big deal. Everyone thinks it’s so cut to see a little girl trailing after her dad while he’s working on a car or building something. Why shouldn’t boys be allowed to play with makeup?
Wet'n Wild also has a new bare Focus clarifying powder in white packaging that is excellent. I like it especially for under the eyes. But my tried-and-true is still the Rimmel stay matte. I could drop countless times and never has one broken on me.
When my boys were young coming with me getting my nails done back in the day when they used that spray powder for white tips or designs the boys loved picking out there shape they wanted on there fingers hearts , stars etc … I miss that young age .. best tones of my life❤ I also miss that type of white tips it was easy instead of thick gel etc over your real nails 💅 I like more natural
Kids are just interested in what parents do. If you were the kind of lady who worked with power tools and rebuilt motors, your little girl would be looking over and saying this is pretty, or this bolt is different than that bolt. The boys see a nice color, and think moms got stuff in cool colors. Next were going to some how say boys liking certain colors of crayons is a problem or something. Exposing kids to lots of different creative and mechanical things is good for their development. And loving them is the most important of all. Let the haters hate. Also will always love your honesty in product reviews. Twenty four year old me would have been all over this product. In my late thirties, I want to enjoy looking at my skin as much as possible, and I find heavier makeup really ages me, and I don't need that kind of negativity in my life.
I would love to try this and I read you have to order it that it is not available in stores but I am afraid if I order it, it will be all broken when it arrives?? Your skin is very pretty...thank you for your videos..
I’m so glad that you let your kids be kids like play in your makeup 💄 or play in the mud . Let kids be kids and let them get dirty. They grow up so fast. I might purchase this product because it looks great on your face and it blurred wonderfully. I really couldn’t tell the to much of a difference from the Revlon side but I do agree I don’t like 👍 how you have to be careful with it. May you and your family have a great 😊 peaceful wonderful joyful weekend and God Bless you and your family.
I was looking for the Wet & Wild Photo Focus powder to purchase, saw this and thought it looked interesting. I didn't purchase because every single one in the display was broken.
Hi Zabrena I love your channel. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I am wondering if you know of a dupe for the Soap and Glorys kick butt foundation. That was my holy grail, the formula works so well for me. I have been through many a foundation and have not been able to match it yet. Enjoy the little ones while they are young. tThey are a blessing to be sure
I can always count on Zabrena to be 100% honest on reviews and this is one of the reasons we love her!
I was just saying that on another video! Zabrena is the only person I trust for makeup reviews.
Powder technology at the drugstore really is getting so much better.. first Elf then Revlon's blurring powder now this. Its a powder renaissance!
I have the Revlon one, PhotoReady I think it's called

I'm going to purchase it because your skin looks beautiful! I'm in my early 60s (61 to be exact) and I think I could enjoy the primer. I love that you allow your children to be themselves. Kudos to you, Mom! ❤️🤗
At this point I'd grind it up on parchment paper, funnel it into a jar, use it as a loose powder. No need to label it trash. :)
I have dry skin, and I LOVE this powder as a setting powder. It's not heavy, and blurs! I have had mine two weeks and thus far 🤞🤞🤞🤞 it hasn't broken
I absolutely love your honesty! I felt the same exact way, when used as a primer I also used the same liquid foundation and set. Wet and wild....💚
Been around since I was a preteen. Now 43. Cheap but always does me good!!👌
Maybe use a fluffier brush? I agree, it shouldn't be THAT fragile 🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️. You made it work bc you're AMAZING doll ✌🏾🥰

I’m obsessed with this powder. It also comes in a liquid version that I now use as a primer. It’s pretty much all I use anymore. It’s wonderful

They have an essence from this line that I really like!

Looks good in the video…. I wouldn’t care if it’s loose because for me very few compacts make it to the end in one piece

Thanks for reviewing and testing.
Looks great on you. I would try it myself but am concerned that it will leave a white ashy cast my dark skin.
But it does make me wonder if any old powder would work in the same way.... hhmmm...
I do this same process. With Catrice prime and fine waterproof powder. Especially in the summer. My makeup looks great for hours even on humid days
Good morning, Zabrina!! We're early. Have a nice day, everyone! 🌻🌻🌻
Oh my goodness kids need to experience stuff and not going to hurt them. Playing is how they learn.
I would love to see you try the wet n wild powder with bare minerals powder foundation
Zabrena is my Favorite...love that color lipstick...
Love your honesty and instructions ❤
Wow an early video and I am excited to see this!
Awwww babies are babies love you and may the Lord bless you and yours always 💓
Hello gorgeous! Always looking beautiful 🤩
I am curious to see how well it will pair with foundation power! Will you consider trying it for those of us who don't use much of liquid fondation?
Maybe paired with a power foundation, it won't look like too much product on the face🤷♀️. Thank you for your great review!
I like the power I have to fine it but I see. Have a Awesome bless weekend too.
Beautiful look! I'm considering giving it a try.... Blessings to you & yours!!!
It seems like a great product. Perhaps they should have packaged it as a loose powder.
Can you try it as a primer over the makeup rather than beginning the makeup. Like do a side by side that way? I’m just curious if it will be better as a primer you apply at the end of a makeup routine or as a touch up.
Instead of being a compact powder, they should have made it a loose power. Though it has broken it is still usable.
FYI, adding any translucent powder will increase your foundation coverage,
Love you and affordable fri!
This seems like it would be great for us oily girls in the summer, I'm just wondering if it would clog my pores...
Interesting video; I would like to see it used as a setting powder only and as a primer only. Perhaps using it that way it would be less heavy.
Love your channel. Wondering how this powder primer would work under powder foundation.
I use Maybelline Primer and I love it!
Wet'n Wild also has a new bare Focus clarifying powder in white packaging that is excellent. I like it especially for under the eyes. But my tried-and-true is still the Rimmel stay matte. I could drop countless times and never has one broken on me.
I am 59 and probably not going to try it but it is pretty on your skin.
I love your eye makeup ❤
When my boys were young coming with me getting my nails done back in the day when they used that spray powder for white tips or designs the boys loved picking out there shape they wanted on there fingers hearts , stars etc … I miss that young age .. best tones of my life❤ I also miss that type of white tips it was easy instead of thick gel etc over your real nails 💅 I like more natural
Thanks for all the honest opinions you always give. No I don't think I will be buying this!
Is this the photo focus powder in a solid formula? I’m gonna try what I have and apply it the way you just did and see if it works.
Looks beautiful but i wonder how it would work on older skin 😮❤❤❤
Is it the same as the green setting powder from NYX? Jonny Ross did a short on it
My goodness !!! you’re gorgeous !!!!! 🙂
I have mature slightly dry skin. How would this be on my skin? Anyone!
Zabrena, you are always beautiful 😍
I bought this a couple of weeks ago, been curious what others think
@AllieDawson I would be curious to see this on your skin.
Can u please review the newest maybelline 24 hr hybrid foundation powder please!!! Want to know ur take on it
