This video made me transition from an heartwarming joy to a heartbreaking sadness in the span of 3 minutes😢
I love the BBC, but others who have watched this series (it's on my desk, haven't watched it yet) say it's one big commercial for climate change, and they are not watching any more David Attenborough. They also quote some stats that say a lot of the claims are not true. Ignore that stuff and keep the heart warming joy part. 🥰 For all it's follies, it's still a beautiful world.

The show is just portraying things as they are! But people like you just want entertainment and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that but claiming that these aren't real problems is really stupid.
Living world is suffocating and soon will all of things don't change and that's true.
If you can't face reality and want to be in the delusion then it's your choice but you can't deny reality itself!

@@schwartzy65 That the Polar bears and Penguins are not dying out, for example. They note documentaries that show while some Penguin colonies are shrinking, others are increasing, so it's more a redistribution of where they are and which ones are thriving. I don't know about the polar bears, but the series is constantly harping on about that and it isn't as fun to watch.
@@blucat4 Because polar bears are in fact endangered due to habitat loss. Someone can quote a strange documentary that they’ve seen to try to make them feel better and ignore reality but unfortunately the data does not lie. Planet Earth since it’s inception has always held a pro environmental position. It’s always tried to inform its viewers of the current state of this huge wave of habitat loss and species degradation that we are going through.

Heartbreaking.
I was so wooed by the seal pup's cuteness, I hardly retained anything said ....until the end when i heard how hardly any of the babies survive because of rising temperatures that force them into the waters before their ready.

The world is recovering from the big freeze its just nature. The reason the poles are icier than the world is due to the earths rotation. They barely get as much sunlight as the rest of the world.

I can't watch the ending ruined my day😭 Harp seals pup's life is pretty shitty. They are born on wet, cold ice. Unable to feed themselves. To swim or run. They just lay and sleep. Relying on their fat reserves. So only ~10% of them survive (not sure). The others are hunted. I'm so sorry for harp seal pups! They are so cute, tamed animals. So smart and curious little guys. It's all unfair.
PS: I also love ringed seals. They smaller and simply live at aquariums. But adult harp seal is big dude. But their pups are beyond of cuteness. Like fluffy angels. All harp seal pups go to heaven where their moms waits for them and they can fly like little clouds🥺

I'm aware this is an old comment but these specific types of seal do not eat penguins! Harp seal eat fish mostly, Leopard seals (one of the biggest species that are like 3 meters) are the ones that hunt penguins down. Harp seals are way smaller 🦭
