- Sit back, relax and join me on an asmr walking tour of Brodick on the Isle of Arran, Scotland. Here we take a late evening walk up and down Brodick promenade just before sunset taking in the sights and sounds of Brodick on the Isle of Arran, Scotland.
Brodick is the main village on the Isle of Arran, in the Firth of Clyde, Scotland. It is halfway along the east coast of the island, in Brodick Bay below Goat Fell, the tallest mountain on Arran. The name is derived from the Norse "breda-vick" meaning "Broad Bay".
The harbour receives the main ferry between Arran and the mainland via Ardrossan. Brodick Castle is a former residence of the Dukes of Hamilton.
Brodick is one of the largest villages on the island and is seen as the main hub due to the ferry terminal which connects the island to the mainland. It is host to many homes, hotels and shops, the health centre, nursing home, heritage museum, tourist information centre, Brodick Castle, public beach, park and an 18-hole golf course.
The Isle of Arran or simply Arran is an island off the west coast of Scotland. It is the largest island in the Firth of Clyde and the seventh-largest Scottish island, at 432 square kilometres (167 sq mi). Historically part of Buteshire, it is in the unitary council area of North Ayrshire. In the 2011 census it had a resident population of 4,629. Though culturally and physically similar to the Hebrides, it is separated from them by the Kintyre peninsula. Often referred to as "Scotland in Miniature", the Island is divided into highland and lowland areas by the Highland Boundary Fault and has been described as a "geologist's paradise".

Lovely, peaceful seaside town. Must be great living there away from all the litter, anti-social behaviour, noise and pollution. Very hermit-friendly indeed. Nice time of day to go for a walk with the sun setting right behind you (and then in front 😅) the coast and the hills in the backdrop do make this look a very special place
It's a bit busier during the day when the people come in on the ferry to visit for the day. This particular evening was lovely and peaceful. Sat on the beach for a bit having a beer after the stroll 🙂

Nice tour with nature sounds along the way, beautiful scenery boats and buildings. I see a chocolate shop too. The rocky shoreline has lots of tide pools and places to observe birds and boats. It looks like a postcard at sunset. 🌄🌄👍👍

Hi Julie n Lucy, ah that's OK. I have been off TH-cam for a few weeks travelling around Switzerland. Brodick is main the village on the Isle of Arran and is quite busy in the day. By evening a lot of people catch the ferry back to the mainland making Brodick very peaceful and hermit friendly. I'm glad you enjoyed the peaceful evening stroll. What a beautiful little bay, so quiet with lots of places to sit and enjoy the view if so desired . That stone pathway/ barrier is superb & I love the way the go pro has picked it up. Not so sure about those giant mole hills next to it though haha. I'm guessing ready for a bit of landscaping 🤔 The back drop of the mountains is stunning and set off well on this day by a superb sky. Looked to be a pretty still day and loved the how the light reflected on the ripples of water near the end. Had to look up the meaning of ASMR. 😃 ... nothing to do with mountain rescue after al !,l 🤣🤣
Hi Christine, well I didn't have much to say on this evening stroll up and down Brodick promenade on the Isle of Arran. The mountain you see is Goat Fell which I was very much wanted to hike up but the weather was against me. As luck would have it the day I was leaving was spot on for hiking it! Maybe I will return one day to do it. This particular evening in Brodick was lovely and peaceful. Brodick does get a bit busier during the day as people come in from the mainland on the ferry. Hopefully I don't need mountain rescue any time soon or at all actually. Thank you very much for watching 🙂👍Paul

This was perfect while I enjoyed lunch today, paul. thank you! it's been a busy morning (eating lunch at 230pm!) and this really was exactly what i what i wanted to watch while eating. arran really is stunning! gonna have to save this one as i'll want to use it to wind down again. weird question, do you find that you mainly carry your camera in the same hand only switching it for differing views? i do see it in both hands in your shadow. in my bizarre head, i'm imagining there's someone who only carries in the one and ends up with a rafael nadal style super sized arm and then a normal arm. 🤣 🛴❤
Hi Anne, I'm glad you enjoyed this evening stroll on a beautiful evening. I wish I was back there enjoying it. I find myself switching hands with the camera for both different views and cos your arm does get a bit tired being in the same position.
