Hello, friends! If you enjoyed the video and wanted to support my channel, I've just started a "Buy me a Coffee" (in my case it would be tea) page which I'll link here: buymeacoffee.com/shawnaexplores but please don't feel any pressure to, the fact you're here and watching already means so much to me 🥰
Absolutely loved this. My grandparents had their honeymoon here 70 years ago! Now they are both there for eternity as it was their last wish. Bute is absolutely beautiful.
What a great trip. The island looks amazing. The railway station is a treasure. Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks so much!! I look forward to returning soon to see more of it 😊
Thank you for this! I hope you never get tired of showing your beautiful country 😊
Thank you so much for your kind comment!! 🥹
Shawna, that was such a lovely video! Thanks for taking the time to fill it. The ferry ride and hotel were great! I love how you capture the dogs you see along the way on film.
We have missed you Shawna again. İt was a wonderful vlog again. Congratulations. Have a good day. Take care of yourself.
I had no idea Rothesay was so beautiful and the hotel looks incredible. Glad you had a good time. Love your videos Shawna 😊

7:14, 8:32 Thank you for the reminder. I need to slow down, pause and enjoy/appreciate the architecture of these buildings and essential infrastructure.
9:15 to 11:40 Am enjoying the ferry experience.
14:40 What beautiful faces and smiles!
I can easily spend a week on the Isle of Bute. Thank you for this trip.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment 🥰
Wonderful videos - I haven't lived in Scotland for 25 years and it is great to see familiar places again through fresh eyes. Now I am retired hopefully be able to return and travel more often.
Thanks so much for watching! Happy retirement, hope you get the chance to revisit Scotland soon 😊
What a lovely video, congrats both. It gets the juices flowing for our next visit to beautiful Bute.
Fabulous video! I haven't been to this island yet but I will add it to my list!
Lovely video, Bute is such a gorgeous wee island, everywhere you turn the scenery is stunning. Hotel looks good too, I'll keep that in mind for my next jaunt over there!
Loved the video. Bute is a wonderful Island. Next time try visit St Blane's chapel at the South of the island, then go to Kingarth Hotel for fantastic food. Stunning beach at Kilchattan Bay. Really is a stunning place.
Thanks so much and really appreciate the recommendations!! 😊

I hope to visit one day. Thanks for info..
Wemyss Bay station is so beautiful ! 😊
The train station is the most beautiful in Scotland
It really is 😍
This is a beautiful video thank you for sharing!
My family owned a room and kitchen just at the bottom of Canada Hill, now demolished. Had been going there since the early 60s .
Lovely video, but i bet you had a sore back on those beds in the glenburn😂
I stayed there but found the beds to be extremely hard😮
Shame you didn't hire a couple of bicycles you could have seen much more, popped into the pencil box, got yourself some lovely tablet 🤤 or a book .
We go back often, but self-catering is probably the best as we struggled to find a decent place to eat.
How did you guys visit Bute and not go to Mount Stuart!
It was sadly closed the day we were there 😭😭😭
@@ShawnaExplores Aww no! You should definitely go back sometime. It's a breathtaking building.
My family came to the US from Bute in the 1730s. I look forward to visiting someday.
Hope you get the chance to visit soon! 😊
Hey! Nice to see another vlogger from the Edinburgh area!😁 We're going to Bute for the first time next month- looks so beautiful and peaceful! Actually going to be staying at the same hotel as you did- the Glenburn!😂 What did you think of it? Thanks for your video!😊
So sorry for my slow reply! You've probably been by now (and I hope you enjoyed your visit) but we had a lovely stay at the Glenburn 😊 Not a modern hotel but very comfy and good location!
@@ShawnaExplores no worries! Actually, we're going this weekend so your reply was perfectly timed!👌🏼😅 Looking forward to our stay there.😍
You missed walki g up to Canada hill and Ardecraig gardens there is also some nice walking there is quite a lot to do if you know where to look.
Thanks for letting me know 😊 I think we did try to visit but we didn't have the right shoes and it had been pouring the night before but we're hoping to revisit Bute again soon as we also missed out on visiting Mount Stuart as it was closed.
fantastic video!
Thanks so much!! 😊😊
really enjoyed this content. Would like to visit Bute :)
Thank you so much, Louise! Hope you get to the chance to visit Bute 🥰
How much ?
Not fully explained is the stay in the hotel part of the travel package how much for this whole package please. ??
I can't quite remember which site we booked the hotel on but once I did some research on Isle of Bute hotels and decided I liked the look of the place, I looked on different websites like Booking.com to find the best deal :)
Great video 😇😀
Thanks so much! 🥰
@@ShawnaExploresIm originally from the midlands ive lived on bute for 5 years now and its amazing !
Wonderful .. but you missed Rothesay's Victorian Toilets! Maybe, next time ... 😉
Yes!! We meant to check them out but completely forgot 🙈 next time!!
For a Fife lass you don't know for sure how you pronounce Wemyss?. I'm horrified :O
Oh I’ve always heard it pronounced “weems”, what’s the proper pronunciation? 😊
Bute is a wonderful place but there is not that much to do
It was perfect for us and I’d happily spend a week or more just wandering about and trying to spot seals 😅 but I totally get what you mean too! 😊
Yeah but it's also a wonderfull place and I never thought you commented :)
