- Meal plan below ⬇️ Weekly grocery haul for our family of 13 in NYC. We shop at Costco & Trader Joe's on Tuesday and Wednesday Evening. (Our Costco is in Harlem and our Trader Joe's is on the Upper West Side in Manhattan.) We bring Chloe (10), Enoch (7), Melody (5), Moses (2), and Neta (6 months).
Here is our meal plan:
Wednesday: Hummus Pitas w/ tomatoes, sprouts & radishes, Dinner: Tacos
Thursday: Fresh Mozzarella Sandwiches, Dinner: Pork Chops, Salad, Applesauce & Mashed Potatoes
Friday: Toad in Hole (Sausages) Dinner: Sweet & Sour Chicken
Saturday: Lox & Bagels, Dinner: Burritos with beans & rice
Sunday: Zuppa Toscana, Dinner: Nachos & Cheese
Monday: Tuna Melts, Dinner: Fettuccine Alfredo & Broccoli
Tuesday: Burritos, Dinner: Costco Food, Chicken Pizza & Salad

We live very rural and the stores that we can go to in the city don't carry some of the foods that you get at Costco's and Lincoln Market. So, I usually order from Amazon when I want something bad enough.
I used to live in the Bronx but that was a lot of years ago, I moved west. Sam's club never has frozen tart dark cherries, I would love that. I don't have any cherries in our orchard. We planted them one time, but they got destroyed by bears.
But we have a huge garden and orchard with lots of other fruits. Our fig tree is producing now, and the fruit is so sweet. I really enjoy watching you shop, it's so much fun to me. Netta is growing up, wow she's having some baby food, so cool, she looks so cute in her cart seat that you bought.
I would love it if the stores in the city had frozen guava and passion fruit. plus also kombucha, I make it at home since I can't find it here. Anyway, thank you for sharing your shopping adventures.
Neat; you are getting bigger and cuter by the minute! Mo is walking around like one of the “ big kid’s” now. I think Enoch and Neta will have a special bond;( he can sure make her laugh!) Love your sweet, multi-talented family! 💕

I love watching your videos! I was born and raised in Indiana farm land. Going to college at Purdue was a huge culture shock. I did the subway in Washington DC and that was a trip. I'm getting an education here too.😊
I’m in IN too how was Purdue such a shock, it’s all farmland almost everywhere.

Being a Brit it’s toad in the hole, enjoy don’t forget the oil must be smoking hot before you add the batter,really Smokey don’t be scared it must splutter and sizzle before they go back in the oven with the sausages so there’s very little time to pour or the oil before it cools xx

I have gone to DIG in Boston. Prices are not too bad. My last visit was in Dec. The Boppy is a good idea for the baby. Moses lost his cart seat, but did well walking around for the entire time; plus, he helped with the shopping. The older children are great with Moses, too. I saw a video where the shoplifters hit your Costco location and I thought of you right away. I pray it remains open. Have a blessed week.

@@CarlaLemar yup I agree and with 2 CARTS they could get more food that's needed weekly. Especially baking supplies, shampoo and conditioner, and so much more that they buy at those 2 other stores that cost so much more for smaller sizes.
Ever wonder why they never buy cleaning supplies??
Also wouldn't u get tired of eating the same thing every week?? Need to expand the palette.. lol plus why always soups?? Why not normal foods? Pot roast, burgers, casseroles, etc. it's summer!! Do salads and lite foods.. lol 😆😆😆

The last week when I went to Costco it was $263 for a family of four you did good
Wow when you said just one water cost around 7.00 dollars thank goodness I buy my water at Walmart and it cost me about 7.00 dollars for 35pack of water and I live in Western New York ❤

If you like dried healthy fruit for snacks try the dried figs and dates they have available at Costco ,I hope your Costco carries those!❤

You can freeze cherries so you could buy extra.. This is the day for lots of fruit! I don’t blame you healthy snacks for the kids and the right price!!😮 can’t go wrong buying cheese at Costco that is for sure. The same thing for yogurt wanna share a recipe with you I’ll take yogurt put in like a tablespoon of Okoh unsweetened and like 8 ounces of yogurt and then freeze it in the freezer for like three hours and you’ve got chocolate, frozen yogurt taste like chocolate ice cream, low calorie very healthy, no additives only yogurt and cocoa and I use monk fruit sugar. I buy it there at Costco too and it has Xyritol in it and that’s supposed to be really good and it’s organic.
Neta is so cute riding around in the cart and trying to eat everything. Mo likes to walk around but I think he was getting a little tired. He wants to help. I also heard about Costco getting shop lifted but I thought it was a different one. A lot of stores has closed in NY because of that. Love your videos. You have a beautiful family. Do the kids still get their snacks at TJ? I haven't seen the bench snack time lately while Marc is checking out. Have you tried making your own baby food?
Yes! They usually get them at checkout and eat them in the car. It’s a snack party haha! I’ve made Neta a few smoothies. She likes them🥰
COSTCO does sell unbleached flour and all of ur other baking needs!!
I’ll never understand how at Costco they pass up so many things then go to TJoes or Lincoln Market then buy the same things in smaller and more expensive items weekly. I could cut their shopping budget by a lot by shopping smarter. And just grow basil in the back yard for about a $1.00 all summer long.

Yalls Family is just so Amazing,I Love Y'all. Amber and Marc I dont know If Y'all have heard of Aldi or if Yall have one in NYC,but They are a German based store,They carry organic foods,They have great produce,and they carry Gourmet items,all kinds of different cheeses,and their prices are great,You have to use a quarter to use a cart,and bag your groceries but it cuts on costvso They can keep prices low,If Y'all get a chance,its a great place to shop,they dont use dye in their gummies or their fruit cereal which is another plus.I know theyvare in Upstate N.Y. thats where I discovered them,Its one of my Favorite stores.I have been shopping there for 27 years.Just passing on info sorry to be long winded.Your such awesome people.Blessings in Our Lord Christ Jesus much❤🙏

Hello! Not sure if you are aware but American Academy of Peds no longer recommends rice cereal for babies due to the presence of arsenic. Oatmeal is now the proffered substitute. Love your videos.

The salmon isn’t lox! Lox is cold cured and what you bought is smoked. I like them both. Lox is a bit softer.

Have your kids seen the mini insulated bags at Trader Joe’s? I bet they would live putting snacks, toys, treasures I. Them. They are only 3.99
And have you considered making your own kombucha? It’s really easy and would be so much cheaper than all that you buy at Costco. Save a few cases of the glass bottles from Costco, then start making your own

Actually 618 for a week for 13 people is cheap - like 45$ a week a person - not bad at all.
