I think the Bene Gesserit are really cool because they aren’t trying to be men. They use female methods exaggerated to their extreme in order to wield power instead of just acting like men.
I don't catch every one of your videos but this one was really nice. As interesting as these factions are, I've always wondered what minor houses make up the body of the Landsraad.
A relatively minor point but a BIG irritant for me is the way the books and TV show ('Dune: Prophecy') repeats "Imperium" ad nauseum instead of -- just occasionally -- saying "Empire"!
A couple mispronunciations early on. Missionaria Protectiva and Honored Matres. On the former, there's a stronger emphasis on the -iva. It should sound like 'pro-tect-Eeva'. On the latter, Matres should be like 'Mah-Trays'.
I've pronounced H.M. three different ways on the channel, and each time someone has said it's 'incorrect'. I can't appease everyone but appreciate the input
The show is set 10.000 before the main story and shows the very beginning of the order. It’s clearly stated that Valya Harkonnen is the first to use the Voice and set the sisterhood on the path to power. The whole genetic manipulation thing begins with her. It stands to reason that the order didn’t breed hot chicks yet and their attractiveness took generations to develop. I gave you a reasonable lore accurate answer but honestly if you think Jessica Barden wasn’t gorgeous you’re clearly gay.
There will never be a more epic and fulfilling dune movie or series then the time and rise of Ominous and the Butlerian Jihad 🫡. Hollywood needs to get started

Great point
Humanity possessed safe interstellar transport before the Guild. They didn't have safe, instantaneous transport.
I belive they say it's one out every ship get lost. So your absolutely correct

I’d definitely say at least until the reign of Paul Atreides, that the Spacing Guild was the most powerful faction. More than the Bene Gesserit.
Depends on what you consider “power”
@@abdolenecourtcan cut off trade to a planet
@@abdolenecourt is brutal power, not manipulation of course
yeah but not in manipulation Paul had the power to destroy the know universe, but he still lose to the Bene Gesserit manipulation
Even the Bene Gesserit need to travel.
Mentats rarely mentioned, Suk doctors not at all. And the sword fighters?
They are fairly apparent/obvious in what they do, not what I would consider a "shadow faction" at least
They r not a political unit though.
Excellent! But, no mention of CHOAM?
Great video no notes :)
So good! Thank you
Appreciate it!

So really you just don’t like the word imperium 😂😂
Why?

Grow up
For what reason does a noble house value a link to the Bene Gesserit.
Knowing when your enemies are lying is a big deal
it's pronounced honored "mah-trays" not "modders"
You said that the bene gesserit are loyal to the order.. sister Jessica was not loyal to the order.. in fact, as a result. She destroyed it.
She temporarily weakened it, but it is still around and powerful.
I saw the thumbnail and thought, "Dung?!"
the Bene Gesserit supposed to be gorgeous.. like in the movies... the new Max show, they dont look attractive at all
You must have very high standards since there's lots of baddies
@@Obi_boy u must have low ass standards LOL
