- Brombury Loco is a 4mm scale model of a small engine shed in the Worcestershire market town of Brombury, terminus of the ex-Great Western Railway branchline which wends its way through Lowleigh from Kidderminster. The video depicts a typical day in the life of the shed on a Saturday in late September 1953.
Fabulous it couldn’t get any better a tiny pice of England built by a master and let’s not forget the lady talking to us all 👍

That's so kind and encouraging. I wasn't sure that enough actually happened to make the video interesting and lucky the coal delivery arrived the day we were shooting! Much of the inspiration was from 'Great Western Branch Line Termini' by Paul Karau. Best wishes, Peter
Fabulous film although driver and fireman sprint off to the nearest pub might be a more likely ending ! A wonderful escape from reality at least for a while.

I did worry that there was an element of 'watching paint dry' in this video and it wasn't until I did some research on similar rural sheds that I realised that very little happened on an average day. Superb beautifully detailed layout. The operations are inspiring and very well executed by these smooth running engines. DCC - NCE Power Cab ? Wonderful night scenes delicately filmed, pleasantly narrated and edited. Outstanding - proving a layout doesn't need to be big to enjoy 'model railroading'. There are thousands of tail chasers out there, but few that show the portrayal of the past with the panache you do. They say size doesnt matter, maybe so, but quality sure does. Hi Peter. Will this form part of a bigger picture? I remember you saying you were working on Lowleighs replacement!
Hi Phil. No it's a stadalone partly to experiment with illumination and also somewhere to park my locos. 'Lowleigh's replacement is underway and I'm getting to grips with a Megapoints processor and relays to work turnouts, signals and level crossing gates. Also squeezing LEDs into Ratio signals - needs a steady hand and patience! Haven't been to an exhibition for ages so am looking forward to Donny this weekend. Cheers, Peter

Thanks Tom. 'Brombury Loco' is EM gauge so replacement wheels and axles (Gibson or Ultrascale when I can afford it!). Screw couplings, Modelu crew, on both locos and lamp irons etc on the 57XX. Best wishes, Peter

In the mess hut enginemen and shedmen can sign on, relax, eat meals etc and then visit the primitive toilet known as a privy! Peter
