You are dead on about those handgrip deflectors. I ride late in the season where the temps are around 55° in the daytime and drop to around 35° at night, when I get off work. My Harley Davidson Ultra Limited has heated grips, which work extremely well. Sometimes, I ride my Kawasaki KLR650 back and forth to work. The KLR has factory installed hand deflectors, which work rather well in the cold weather. I bought the hand deflectors for my 2022 Ryker Rally, knowing I will be riding it to and from work late November through early December, here in Northwest Illinois. I can ride later into the year with a Ryker and not worry about ice or snow on the road like I do with a two-wheeler. I work the 11:00 pm to 7:00 am shift. I drive 26 miles each way, to and from work. Riding 60mph in 35° weather gets damn cold on my legs by the time I reach my destination. If you ride late in the season, another best bank for the buck is a Milwaukee M12 heated vest. Trust me, it's worth every dollar spent.
Very nice ! Rode Rykers in my Can-Am training class this weekend. I like the "sitting in" feel vs the sitting on feel of my RT limited. If I could find one done up like yours I would get rid of my RT
I got an egg sitter for my work truck. It works great no more butt sore for me. Bought it no line for only 25 bucks!! I would just buy one of them and trim it to fit the Can Am when I finally buy one!
Congratulations!!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy my Ryker!!! There's definitely quite a bit of customization you can do to them :) Stay safe out there!
You should look into the LED Sequential turn signals from SlingMod, too. I put them on and they definitely make you far more visible. Also, I added the brake light flash/blink module to make it more obvious when I hit the brakes.
Also check out Bill Ramseyer for a grill that he designed specifically for his Ryker then decided to sell them. I purchased one from him easy installation. Yes you can make one as well.
When you said grill, I thought you meant BBQ Grill and was wondering if he mounted it where the top case would go. LOL. So I looked up his sight. Yes, Bill's grill looks very nice. Was going to make one out of Stainless Steel mesh that I have lying around.
I like what you have done, so congratulations! I have a 2020 Rally so I appreciate the information. Have you considered floorboards instead of the stock pegs? I installed the Black Diamond floorboards from Lamonster Garage and it was a game changer. Much more comfortable. I am vertically challenged (5'6" and 170lbs with a titanium left hip) so I always look for things that might help. Your addition of the risers is definitely something that I will look in to. One other thing...you installed the parking brake lock (I did too...great addition) but did you change the handle to the billet aluminum handle? I did and it was crazy easy. Between them both it actually is a pretty neat little anti-theft system. Again, thanks for the great video. I guess I am your next-state neighbor as I am in in eastern Kansas just outside of the KC metro area.
Thank you!!!! I haven't considered the floor boards, only because the pegs don't bother me. My friend/neighbor has them on his Rally. I'll have to give his a go and see if that changes my mind :) As for the billet parking brake, I definitely plan on getting it. I just haven't as of yet. Soon! Thanks for the suggestions and compliments!!! Hope you're doing well over there in Kansas!!! Ride safe!!!

Nicely done. I like the bags, tric led and the tuff skinz. I just received my K&N filter and I am glad I saw your video and I will be returning this if it doesn't make a difference. I do have one thing that bothers me. The plastic panel to the left which contains the air filter vibrates like crazy. Does yours do that?
Thank you Sir! You're correct regarding the K&N. As for the panels that rattle, I took them off and disassembled them, then sandwiched weather stripping in between each piece, and put them back together. It helped tremendously.
@@midliferyker3929 Interesting, I have been putting thick any kind of tape between the body and the panel which helps a little but not enough. I may have to tinker with it like you mentioned.
Hi!! Great walk around. Your bike looks so good!! I think your mention of the Rox 2” risers may have changed my life! I have been searching for closer handlebars for months. Adding these should be exactly what I need! Was it an easy install? Super excited!! Ps Happy Easter or Passover!!
Thank you!!! Installing the risers was incredibly easy. Just unscrew the 4 bolts holding the current handlebars in place. Take handlebars out. Insert 7/8 end of risers where the handlebars previously were and reinstall the 4 bolts (use locktite). Unscrew the bolts in the top of the riser, where the handlebars will go. Insert handle bars. Put the top back on the risers and tighten. That's it! Happy Easter!
Thanks for sharing, some good stuff here. Some may be a little overkill, but great to know these cool options are available. Your bike looks pretty cool when all said and done. I'm eyeing a Ryker, doing the class this month and looking to purchase shortly thereafter, so this was great. Two questions if you don't mind - 1) how easy/hard is it to remove the storage you listed, and 2) would you get the upgraded comfort seats (driver and passenger) if you could do it over again with the purchase?
Thanks Keith! As for the storage bags, it doesn't take long at all to remove the bags themselves. They latch on and off, but you do have to disconnect the wire connections. Less than three minutes? If you want to remove the whole racking system, it would require some time. As for the comfort seat, I'm not sure, as I've only sat on one briefly. I liked my stock seat with generic Airhaw better. The comfort seat is pretty expensive imo. Thanks for commenting!
@@midliferyker3929 good point on the expense - looks like it's better to go with the Airhawk cushion anyway and save money, especially since folks say that's more comfortable than the upgraded comfort seat. Again appreciate the great tips, thanks much!

Midlife Ryker what I meant does it push you back far enough that your butt is against the front of the passenger seat? Are you able to get lumbar support from the front of the seat? If they made one 3 inches, would you have preferred that? 🤔

Thank You , so thats good to charge a phone and Bluetooth speaker at the same time? Or do they have bigger ones more power
@@dannyrenna2659 You're welcome. I'm not sure about phone and bluetooth speaker. It does have 2 USB ports for charging, so it may be ok. I only charge my GoPro hero 3 with it. I plug my phone into the Ryker front trunk USB. I don't have speakers. I use a Sena SMH 10 for music.
Nice....but u got it looking like a spyder more if anything
Thanks! Maybe, but a lot cheaper :)
How tall are you just curious due to the handlebar risers
I am a massive, intimidating 5'4"! LOL Hope this helps!
@@midliferyker3929 read this to my son who is 6'2" he had agood laugh. I am 5'6.
@@giovannam925 LOL!!! Great to hear!!! I love making people laugh :)
Are you handle bars still adjustable?
They sure are! I have to adjust them when I fill up gas :)
@@midliferyker3929 Great. How long does it takes you to ride before you start to fatigue? I just want to get an idea for long rides. And stay safe out there.
@@iluvbiggirlz420 The longest I've ridden with the risers was 6 hours. Started to fatigue around the 5 hour mark, but that was more due to helmet and throttle haha. A lot better than stock .. at least for me :)
@@midliferyker3929 That's way more than I expected. I thought you was going to say like 2 or 3 hrs lol That tells me riding to see my daughter in Colorado Springs on the Ryker is doable. Especially with the 3 bag setup.
@@iluvbiggirlz420 Most definitely doable! We have a rider here in CO that takes frequent trips on his Ryker, to Mexico to see family. An Airhawk helps tremendously :)
Looking for those mirrors could you steer me in the right direction

Midlife Ryker thanks trying to figure this out ... took me forever to comment lol ... thank you !!
Use a win sock on your mike !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This would have been a great video but you did it in bright sunlight and the visuals are so poor it makes the majority useless. The sound is also pretty bad.😕
I'm not going for a filmography award lol.
