Install the mod in your "Unreal Tournament 2004" folder (Steam - drive:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Unreal Tournament 2004\). To play, go to your Unreal Tournament 2004 folder, then into KFMod, and use "Play KF.bat". You may want to r-click and "Send to Desktop" to place a shortcut to this, just to make it easier in the future.

Many of the finer specifics in the lore from the mod weren't carried into the game. IMO, would have been interesting if the proto-Patriarch quality of Masterson had survived.
the closest thing we got to an campaign was the objective mode, especialy transit, speaking about transit any chance you could release another music track mod for kf1 that replaces the music on mountainpass cuz i remember you said on "the music fix mod" page that you had a tracklist for that map in mind and im actualy intrigued, would defindly install it for my personal game and my server, like i did with your "lost in transit".
How did you get so much ammunition on the levels? There literally hundreds of rounds, I don't have that in the game
@@user-cy1jd1vo5qI believe the map files were modded in Unreal Editor to add extra ammo drops. It makes the gameplay a bit better because you had so few ammo that you would just use the axe all the time and it would get boring.
@@MetalheadMitch762 Yes, I would also like to play this mod as a shooter) But you have to constantly wield an axe. I found the difficulity settings in the documents, but it didn't add more ammunition. If the files have been modified, it would be great if the zYnthetic shared them with other people

Tetanus would need an open wound to enter the body but there could be all kinds of other awful stuff in the water.

Watching this is like a time capsule from the past being opened. It's all so gritter and dirtier than the released form of Killing Floor on steam and PC markets, and especially towards Killing Floor 2. Reminds me of Silent Hill, in all honesty. Thanks for showing a piece of history, i love your music!

Ahhhh hell yeah I can't wait for your merch, man. Your music is a huge inspiration to me. Also I always loved how these locations were remastered for the standalone release of Killing Floor.
This has put such a huge smile on my face, thinking about the good old mod days on my laptop that could barely play it. Checking the server browser to see if the big dogs were online like RPDUmbrellaSTARS and Stilkdog. Huge part of my teenage years were dedicated to this
Strange to see how the mod (and subsequent standalone releases) made.the game different than this 1.0 mod. The horrific atmosphere was amped to 11 on this one, reminds me of the horror mods in Half-life.
I remember trying to play the original Killing Floor games when I was much younger, they ended up scaring me too much to play though. Looking back, I can see why!
I remember playing this version when I was 10 years old and I was very scared, thanks for reliving this wonderful mod
So different from how even KF1 turned out. This is a lot closer to modern Resident Evil.

The KF mod has some aesthetics that neither the Standalone release or KF2 managed to capture.
I disagree, KF1 definitely is much more polished and captures that tone in a better way.

I never played the mod but I played the arse off of KF1 back in the day, and you’ve been one of my favourite composers since then. Glad you’re back active, mate, best wishes for the merch/music launch.
Done 2 playthroughs, first was godmoded cause its really hard unless you know where the items are. I'd love to see a remake of this campaign in kf2 with the objective mode tools and such
I definitely remember mates of mine playing the KF-Mod's Co-op in a gaming bar a good 15-16 years ago while I was playing Battlefield 2, 2142 & the odd Project Reality as well as getting eyes on folks playing Half Life 2 & others, and those grimy visuals alone was enough to intimidate my younger self. The Single-Player is certainly something I've only heard about somewhat recently and only seen for myself now.
While I never played KF-Mod for myself nor have played as much of KF-Steam as I'd have liked, the latter's certainly left it's impression with the English (Homely in my case) banter and your heavy music, with KF2 getting most of me & my friend's playtime (It has been a good while since I last played it though, but the upcoming QOL improvements have me keen to return to the Floor & slaughter some Zeds on some ruined streets & derelict buildings to some zYnthetic tunes!).
Ive just randlomlly searched kf mods in youtube and in fact it has dropped your channel.Kinda bit funny:D

I wish there's more of this story or more updates to kf mod multiplayer. It has that great atmosphere... i love it

I remember being terrible at this version... mainly the “blind aiming” being a hiccup to my talentless teenager self back in the day. :D
Having a singleplayer story mode is great, but I would never be able to stomach the massive weapon sway and I would go ballistic over the flashing "Full Ammo" indicator. Would have been nice if there was some option to have the story filled out even more (or has a proper emphasis) in the Retail release (I didn't even know there WAS a story until the final map update).
Man, we need this as an add-on to the mod...

I wish KF went back to the grittier aesthetic. KF2, though super fun tbh, was too wacky and sci-fi :(
No wonder this sh*t (in a good way) looks way more atmospheric and f**king sinister than KF2. They could create some real badass merciless bloody-hell with creepy animations and disgusting visuals, that no one would ever want this happen in reality. And the tension - damn I love it. How camera shakes, how gun behaviours when shooting, how f**king dark and grotesque this mod is.
And now I see some weird costumes and events that don't even draw my attention anymore. I return to KF1 from time to time, but this mod... I really want to play it. Will sh*t my pants for sure when playing at night and alone.
I mean that KF2 is still good to play, but sometimes it gets way too boring. KF1 is trying to hold my attention, but it fades day after day. I think I have to explore KF1 past way more intensely.

I jest. I love KF, especially the first one and was always intrigued with how much uglier, scarier and brutal the mod version seemed. As much as I enjoy KF2, I do miss the zYnthetic touch with the ambience and horror atmosphere. Are you still with Tripwire? Or are you free to exact vengeance on all who murdered your children and shred with the best of them?

It was possible to launch Singleplayer maps in Multiplayer mode, and connect to someone's game, but the ammo is already way less than you need to kill all the monsters, so, if you add more than 1 player the monsters will be too tough to kill (their health and number scales according to the player count).
I've tried that with my friend, and he had to use all of his ammo, then disconnect and connect again, to respawn with a new gun with some ammo, and do that over and over and over again so we could secure at least the first two maps.
So it kinda was co-op, but wasn't really playable in that manner.
It needs serious balancing (like zYnthetic seemsingly did for this video, by adding more ammo pickupsto the maps).
