- Well, this certainly took awhile. Though despite my video editor being stupid as hell, I am quite pleased with how this turned out. Anyways, this video shows how our good friend Kevin Clamely has evolved throughout the lifespan of the gory series Killing Floor.

Patriarch can use science to increase muscle mass to be stronger and absorb more damage, able to connect multiple mechanical weapons with his own body, able to cloak himself, able to fix critical injuries with syringes... but still can't fix his own vision and still requires glasses.

Its sad because the Patriarch is supposed to be the ultimate challenge, but he really is a push over in kf2.
J037 agreed. They even got rid of his menacing tone in killing floor 1 which I think made him much more intimidating.
He's a pushover probably only cause you play on Normal, when was he considered the "Ultimate Challenge"? And if he was nerfed then you can thank the pansies that thought the "ultimate Challenge" was too hard. His voice is still pretty freaky it fits his new Mutated look and the Roar forget about it. -He uses the outside of the map to

I haven't had the chance to play KF2 yet, but I do like his new look, and he seems to have some fun attacks.

He definitely got stronger and bigger through his incarnations. I love him as a villian and he is an intimidating character. Unless I keep calling him Kevin... My only complaint is that Abandon All is not his theme in KF2. His current battle track is great but Abandon All is just too good. Maybe give it a random chance to play both and make his current track a bit louder and deeper like the original. All in all, glad to have him back.
This video was the first time I ever got to see a non-glitched, fully visible version of the patriarch in KF1 ever
I think the Patriarch became more formidable looking but less scary looking.

I know a lot of people don't like his kf2 design, even I don't like it but I think it just shows how much of his humanity he has lost and how much more of a monster his become
The idea, the theme was good but I still think the execution was flawed if anything the patriarch of the mod looks way more disturbing than the new one
Personally, i find KF2's Patriarch to bee tougher than KF1's iteration, but even still, he doesn't hold a candle to his 2004 version.
Although he looks much more deformed now, it's more of a Quasimodo-esque abomination... not exactly intimidating if I'm being honest. The old version with the 90s hairdo and the glasses that scream "science nerd"... THAT was scary. You KNEW that his real strength was his intelligence. A smart oponent is a hundred times more intimidating than a strong one. (To be fair he's still both.)
To be honest I miss the old hairdo. I get they updated his design to fit more with the style of the second game, but he did lose a bit of that recognizable aspect about him. He looks a lot more deformed and monstrous, but he doesn't seem as unique as he was. Still a great character though, and there are aspects about the new design that I love.

He was actually terrifying during the 2004 version and turned into such a monster during the events of Killing Floor II (but kept his glasses).
I wonder how he will look in KFIII. Seeing how much more mechanical the zeds are, I bet he will have more technology and metal parts, perhaps hi-tech glasses this time ?

KF2: Resident Evil 3 Marcus main villain, but with minigun and RL
I mean it. KF1 Patriarch is the best. Just one rocket is enough to blow up half of your squad like it's nothing. And one minigun burst will give you a clear answer that armor was your last chance - before you die. His presence and music automatically gave you goosebumps and awareness combining with the fear that he's somewhere close. And if he goes "dark" (invisible) before his first move - that means someone's death instantly, or critical wounds.
Just hearing his "This is the end of you" - it means his first/next rocket shot. And you are unable to dodge or avoid it, unless you're close to some corner behind the wall.
And I have to admit - his look is extreme in KF1. I'd say more like intimidating.
KF2 Patriarch is kinda funny, not so scary, but still can be dangerous. Even after losing his horror look, he can still kill you.
KF0 version is like some alpha species, before perfection was made. Or it was already perfection, but then comes something far more dread than before. Unfrortunately devolved in last version. Visually at least. Well maybe not devolved, but lost some side of being unique.
But one thing is clear - he's a cool villain.
First one looks like a enemy you'd see in resident evil a jacked up dude that strapped guns to himself

The first one is probably considered harder is because it hasn't been around as long and as popular as the other 2 games
I have beaten the KFMod Patriarch several times and he can be cheesed especially because his AI path ain't the best and you can outrun him with the knife equipped but he is still really difficult. His melee is pretty much an instakill and if you don't die from it, you'll be immensely slowed down because lower health made you slower in KFMod. If you get caught out in the open or in a hallway like in Biotics Lab, his minigun will shred you even from long range. Also getting directly hit by the rocket or being close to the explosion is an instakill even with full health + armor on beginner mode. And on top of that, you usually run out of ammo before his health can be depleted so you have to rely on pickups.
That 2004 version was a beast, and by far the scariest form I think :)
Actually, the original version such as the 1.0 demo and 1.0 came out in 2005 which was a year after since the mod began development in 2004.
Then 2.0 came out in 2006 in which later got a community patch 2.1 which came out in 2007. Then 2.5 came out in 2008 in which did not have the boss but 2.51 which came out sometime in 2009 or 2010 included the boss. Nowadays since 2.52 came out in May 2010, that's where you can fight him along with the current version 2.53 which includes cut content.

KF2 Patriarch just does not hold a candle to his previous forms. His fight, music and appearance all got worse
+Not CrookyJr Yeah, his Killing Floor Mod version is definitely the most terrifying to me. Killing Floor's full release Patriarch had the best music, but KF2's iteration arguably is the most badass and powerful in the evolution.
I find his whole character to be great, though.

+Oeeshik Don't compare the Patriarch to Hans. Ever. Hans is bullshit right now. His melee damage is absurd, and the only way to continue the fight is to let him heal off you. You can at least kill the Patriarch before he heals instead of being forced to go through four phases. At least the Patriarch is FUN to fight.

Funny enough it was for some competition or something if I remember correctly. Who knew something made out of the blue would become so damn popular. I love Killing Floor :)

Never played the Mod version, but i love both KF1 and 2. Be good if we can change zeds skins though, Stalker look scarier in Mod version becuz of the long hair, she got half hair in KF1 and bald in KF2. I don't understand why they get rid of the hair, long hair makes female zeds/monsters much more scary, like japanese or eastern ghosts. Even Patriarch is bald now lol.

I'll admit that KF2's patriarch is not as good as his other iterations, I think the rest of the game makes up for it.

Man I like the first one and i was so close on playing it till it failed and won't let me play it. The 2009 one is cool, but the patriarch one looks like a human using lots of makeup. The 2015 Patriarch, oh man he's so badass and looks like a hideous monster. Even his new attack "raining missiles" does massive damage, I love it. Nicely done on doing this.

The patriarch in the first game is skinny, I thought it was a normal enemy, and it's easy to kill. This one is bigger and more intimidating, try fighting it on suicidal, it's minigun and rockets are near instakill.

Medic in kf2 makes kf2 super easy to win boss which is boring. Plus the in game effect makes it less scary and mysterious compare to KF1. Too bad.

Ok so what I get from this is that patriarch killing floor 1 was better looking then killing floor 2.
I would prefer to fight killing floor 1 patriarch then killing floor 2.
Killing floor 1 patriarch better personality little more definition of I'm fighting a jackass that destroyed the world and so on.
Killing floor 2 patriarch is just a ball of meat with absolutely zero personality and no where near like fighting a human.
He lost his humanity and is bigger/more intimidating. But also a more a fun challenge on kf2. He does have personality in kf2, makes various remarks whilst fighting him.
That's kinda the point. It's been literal years, he's growing more grotesque and losing his humanity, because he's not a human anymore in the first place.
KF1 still better :^) He's only really hard if it's on a higher difficulty, though. KF2 is lame as fuck and Daddy Pat isn't even scary, he looks like something from Shrek's swamp lmao. He has such a good personality in KF1 in my opinion, even though he's not that difficult to veteran players (KF2 being extremely noob friendly, though) but his group attack is annoying at times xD

I've played it enough of times on Suicidal to get the jist of how dangerous he's supposed to be, which doesn't seem to be that much unless you let him heal. I usually get him killed before he heals, because he always gets baited for some reason when he is supposed to get in his injured state lol, so he hits one person before he decides to actually cower off giving the majority of the players enough of a chance to hit those headshots and sawblades. But yes, I never actually have gotten to HoE because I haven't gotten to the level caps yet :P
I just find Vans Holter DEFINITELY more of a "problem" than the current Patriarch. He's kind of become a joke at this point, but his airstrike is hella deadly (still requires him to heal I think or be at lower HP, which like I stated before I happen to have a good team consisting of level 17-20's to kill him with me before he even gets to heal). Vans is slower than Patriarch for sure, but Vans also pulls off more damage and has more punishing aggressive attacks (except for the bile, I guess) as he gets shot up more in comparison to Patriarch, which he kind of has an "okay" overall damage to begin with while I see Vans getting higher damage as the fight continues.
