Look at it from this perspective, without French Revolution, Napoleon would not be a thing (I mean I am sure he could possibly get pretty high up the rank even during monarchy, but he would've hardly became an Emperor). I think the worst thing to happen in Europe was Bolshevik revolution, because that one really just made everything worse.

France's last "hurrah" was under Napoleon where it spent all the power the Bourbons had built. If the revolution didn't happen, other wonders would have happened over a longer stretch. The Bolshevik Revolution was easily one of the very worst, but remember it's roots lie in the French Revolution (they took a lot of cues from it, even naming their first battleships after French Revolutionary leaders).
