- Melinda's spirit departed during her daughter's wedding as the veil blew in the wind, a special message from mother to daughter. She sent Kaylie a message in the wind. Melinda is a guardian angel watching over Kaylie and Keegan.
I sit staring at my keyboard not knowing what to say. Kaylie and Keegan, you have touched my heart with your love and vulnerability. Your mom must be so proud of you.

Imagine making one of your mum's last days on earth one of her happiest. As a mum myself, all you want for your children is to know they are happy and will have people in their lives who love them, especially after you've gone. I wish them so many... MANY happy years together. 💘💘

Appreciated you sharing yoyr story in video. Unselfish love is so beautiful. My parents walked me down the aisle. Mom died 2 and 1/2 yrs later Mom passed from a long bout with emphasema. I was beside her just as I'd asked God for that privelege at age 9. Blessings to you and your family!!!

Your mom "survived the body". It was seamless, she was never alone. She moved on to the next phase of existence and is able to still enjoy seeing you LIVE your life and interact by sending signs to you that she is still around you. So, when you think of something and it appears later that day, that's her making the connection. She is free from the limitations of "life in the body", but the LOVE for you, is stronger than ever! Her kids and her sweetheart are still her Everything.

Hi, my Husband died 3 months after my Mother. My Husband and I were together since I was 14yrs and we had 34yrs together, he was my best friend, my life, he died unexpectedly at 54. After he passed you could feel him in any room I went in. I was at the doctor's office and all the computers would go off line, it freaked out the nurse who checked me in so bad that she had another nurse take over. My Husband was Hawaiian and Samoan, and worked as a police officer for 18 years, he was a big guy with a bigger heart. I miss him more than I can say, but I feel him near me always. When I first walked in the room where he'd been placed I could feel him, he was so worried about me. Well, God bless Everyone out there who have suffered such a loss. One thing I'm sure of is they're not loss to us, we just can't see them, look for signs!! Just the other day I was standing on my porch and a hummingbird came so close to me I could hear her wings, she stayed there for about 30 seconds, amazing!!
I smelled the scent of the ocean shortly after my maternal grandmother died. I wasn't even near the beach and she had lived in Cape May. I do believe it was her letting me know she was ok

Throughout this Whole Entire Beautiful Story, I Lost it too. I WAS Crying, too. I feel SO Sorry, for Kaylie's Parents. Her Wonderful Mom, had a Brain tumor, that made her have Surgery, & her dad, had injured his back!!😬😬😮

As a nurse and someone who lost my mom at age 23 from cancer (she was 49), this is both beautiful and heartbreaking. A true testament of "beauty from ashes" proving that something beautiful can come from tragedy and heartbreak. This was difficult to watch but lovely. You two will surely stand the test of time and only grow together in strength.

Rain, I couldn't have said it better. My mom passed 13 years ago at 59. I was 34. It still hurts as if it was yesterday. I believe losing a parent is the worst pain ever and lingers on for your lifetime
I was with my mama when she died. She was in Hospice and I had spent the night with her. I'm glad I did, because she passed that night. Her name was Twila. I miss her every day. She was only 67 before ovarian cancer took her. I used to be so very angry. How people live to be 100 and mama was only 67. But then I'd think, well, those people's families are happy their loved one is still here, and it's not their fault my mama died too soon. It's hard letting go of the anger and grief. I just comfort myself knowing we'll be together again. I'm sorry about your mama, Rain. It's so hard, I know.
I lost my mom in August 2020 and losing her was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I took care of her until I was no longer able. I miss our morning talks together.

Oh Kerrie...your words "I took care of her until I was no longer able" just gave me peace. I have always held guilt that I could have done more for my Mom who passed in 2008 but I was no longer able and thought nursing care was still caring for her to the best of my ability. This popped up under my recommendations and I'm really glad it did. What a touching memory for your mom. My dad passed away suddenly in 2008 while I was planning my wedding so when the day came, it was really hard not having him walk me down the aisle. My mom took his place that day. Your mother was absolutely gorgeous and I'm so glad she was able to see you get married. My mom and I got super close after dad passed and if I have one bit of advice to give people out there, this is it: Cherish your parents and loved ones while you can because we never know when its their time to leave. If you have had a falling out with a loved one, I really hope you can put the anger and hurt aside and begin to heal those bridges. I have had to deal with my moms cancer and her stroke and it was definitely a wake up call that I needed her more in my life. Thank you for sharing your story with us. You are a beautiful couple and I wish you much love and happiness in the future.

What you did for your Mom having that first wedding ceremony released of any guilt we have as a Mother will have of being a burden. She knows you both loved her without a doubt as all of us did watching the video. God gave you 12 years longer than what the Dr.s thought she had & she was a fighter. She battled that monster every step of the way. She was a very strong woman & she loved all of you fiercely. The love she had for her family & the love all of you have for is what gave her her strength to fight & survive as long as she did.
I'm praying your Dad is doing well, also your brother & sister too, & that Kegan's family is doing well also. We're total strangers but the two of you are so lucky to have each other. I pray to God you never forget why you got married & what it is that makes you love one another so much. I'm hoping God blesses your home & life with the sound of laughter, love, the sound of little feet making soft pitter patter once they learn to walk. Then the clip clop as they grow & get older & get louder.
May your love grow & spread onto your children & onto thier children too. Love comes naturally from a child. We earn thier respect, by giving them the same. There is nothing more amazing in life that holding your child that first time. It's instant love that almost overwhelms you at first. It's breath taking how you can love someone so fast so much. It doesn't matter if you gave birth to that child or if your adopting it that love is there & it slams you so hard it takes your breath away. Kind of like when you realized you loved each other & wanted to be together for ever.

What a beautiful gift to give your mother. So bittersweet. My mom passed away a few years ago, and I miss her every day. I was lucky enough to be sitting at the end of her bed singing her favorite hymns when she passed. My 95 yo dad now lives with me and my husband. He has dementia and it is really hard. Thank you for what you and your husbad have done for your parents. It says a great deal about you both.

I lost my precious Mom less 7 months after our wedding. Although I don't know the pain you went through of losing your mother to cancer, I lost my mother suddenly at home and was not with her when she passed away. Not a day goes by that I don't think about her. My father passed this year on April 7 and I miss him terribly as well. I just wanted to say I believe this is the most beautiful tribute I've ever watched in my life! Darling I to lost a daughter at 7 months old. She died in my arms 32 years ago. She had heart disease. Theres never a day that goes by that I dont think about her. She was my first daughter. She will always be in my heart. I was blessed with a second daughter whose now a beautiful women. Your mum and my daughter will always be walking beside us every step of the way. You know, it's amazing how much I cried, & had such sadness for this woman, I don't even know, have met, or heard of. I guess we're human. God bless her. May she fly high, dance, & celebrate in heaven & watch her phenomenally, insanely GORGEOUS daughter get married & live on her legacy. Beautiful, beautiful woman. These ladies are so beautiful. Her Mom knew EXACTLY what she was supposed to do. She went to her daughter's wedding 2 times! First was the Guest Of Honor , & the second, the PERFECT Guest Of Honor, & was definitely, DEFINITELY standing right beside her daughter & brought her own new friends in heaven to her second wedding. I honestly don't think she can even comprehend how much support, & love & beautiful Momma gave her for her 2 weddings. Just the second one had her Mom with her new gorgeous wings, & all of her Mom's new MILLION'S of angel friends, & I know she had Jesus standing with them blessing them both" on both of her PERFECT weddings! She definitely had the best 2nd wedding! She had the rare privilege of having actual real life Angels there & that is extremely amazing not everyone gets to have. Kaylie I'm so happy for you. You were able to be with your mom when she needed you the most and shared that winderful moment of your wedding with her. That's a satisfaction that will keep you in high spirits whenever you think of her. You will miss her but at the same time you will feel happy to know you were a good and loving daughter and she was truly happy even though she could not speak to you. I also had to say goodbye to my mother and 6 months later to my dad back in 2009. I still miss them both. They were great parents and I am truly happy that I was there for them until the end. I was arranging to get married at the foot of my Mothers bed. The tumours on her neck, had caused a stroke/coma, and she passed away peacefully, 3 days before my wedding. Being Catholic, I went to her viewing the night before my wedding.
After speaking with a Nun, that knew my mother well, she suggested that we have the ceremony the next day, as originally planned.
As Mom was looking forward to it. She was buried an hour before my ceremony the next day, in the dress that she would've worn as Mother of the bride. I could feel her presence, still close to me. A rose was placed on the chair she would've sat in. Mom was laid to rest and I was married at 1:30pm.
I am sorry Kaylie, that you had to go through this. Just know, that you handled yourself with strength, and Grace. And your mother was so incredibly happy for both you, and your Husband. God Bless.

Nearly 4 years ago I also lost my mom because of cancer and since I was the only child left living at home with my parents I sent the text message to my siblings to come over so we could all be with her one more time. Those last hours with her were the hardest of my life. Now all I have left of her are pictures and heirlooms. I'm always going to choose her over her stuff. No woman deserves to lose their mom on her wedding day.

Wow. I’m truly sorry for your losses. I lost my mother August 2020 and the pain seems unbearable. I couldn’t imagine losing two within six months. My mother lost her mother and brother within eight months of each other. Because of Covid, I didn’t get to hug her the last five months of her life… It hurts so badly. We spoke on the phone every day. Thank you for sharing, I hope I will be able to hold it together as well.

Your mom is now in a better place where she's not suffering anymore.
