Thank you for the great information. My fiancé had his visa and his flight booked for April 23rd last year. 😢 The London Embassy responded to my email in January that once the embassy resumes normal operations we are to request a reissuance. Any idea how much longer that may be? So frustrating when we have proper testing and vaccines available. We’ve been checking the website for almost a year.
I have EB1-A I-485 AOS case. Just got the “case is ready to be scheduled” notification - could you tell me if they can still waive the interview from this point?
Ive heard many immigration lawyer saying that only a handful of k1 visas are approved yearly. So they recommend doing i130 and AOS instead

You supposedly shouldn't. They should send emails, letters and call you when the time is due.

My case has been approved on August 28,2020 until these days i have no feedback from the NVC

One way. You're gonna have to live in the US for a whole year there without leaving for the citizenship and green card.
Hi, I am applying for a US fiance visa (k1) and I was approved by uscis and it has been 70 days. I chose the embassy in Ankara, Turkey. But there is no news from nvc. Can you help? What should we do? The reason why there is no news about nvc could be due to the closure of the Ankara embassy? And that I should not have heard of nvc until now? Thank you

I just got a notification from USCIS case checkar that my cas was approved and it was just got done in 61 days and just praying for the process to be get done sooner yay 😊

How long does your application stays at the NVC after USIS approved it? For k1 visa? Our case has been at the NVC for almost 4 months is that normal?

Unfortunately that could take longer depending on the workload of the assigned embassy. With the ridiculous COVID excuses that they keep coming up with it’s really uncertain to know how long the wait is.
my fiance is from the phlippines and im a american she worked abroad she's having problem's on getting her police clearance. we are thinking this problem with the police clearances will delay our process. we havnt recieved a notice from the NVC yet. the police clearances are they realy needed?

How long it will take to get a green card aftr we marry in united states?? I mean the fiance visa is for 90 days and aftr getting married in here how long it will take to get aftr marrying and then applying for green card??
AOS 485 is around 18 months but I would recommend applying for i131 and i765 concurrent with your form 485.

Yes. It's a one-time visa. I know this because I'm in the K1 visa process.

You can get married in city hall then have formal wedding later!

Is it normal not to hear from the USCIS on a K-1 Visa after their receipt notice till it is approved ? I have been waiting 7 months on my I-129F Petition with only a receipt notice nothing else
Yes, it's normal. I got it approved after 9 months .

8 months for me
797c took me 8 months But now the hangup is the NVC and US Consulate. My US consulate says they’re a year behind for interviews so my 129f would be no use for me then. Looking at i130 options now.

I have a question, a bunch of lawyers in the United States are filing lawsuits in the American court for a judge to compel the American consulate in Brazil to process k1 visas, how far can this harm these people? because it doesn't seem smart to sue the American consulate.
The lawyers think it's smart because they make money.
