  • How do we connect with people who can help us make an impact on the world? In this talk, James Carbary, founder of Sweet Fish Media, presents his concept of Content-Based Networking which he believes is valuable to anyone and everyone. “I’ve found that the impact we make here on Earth often comes down to something we’ve all heard a million times, but very few of us take it to heart...your impact on this planet will be largely determined by WHO you know...not WHAT you know.” James Carbary is the founder of Sweet Fish Media, a podcast agency for B2B brands. He’s been a contributor for Entrepreneur & Business Insider, and he also co-hosts a top-ranked podcast according to Forbes: B2B Growth. James’ first book, Content-Based Networking, will be releasing in the Fall of 2019. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

    Working toward a new world economy is understanding its your customers who are making your business work. Co-creating together is not a transaction its a partnership.

    Such valuable advice! My only hope is that as people are connecting, they are also ensuring authentic and transparent conversations - the last thing we need is more groups of people who are willing to get ahead at the cause of others!

    How fascinating!! What a beautiful sequence of events and connection! I know you speak of your connections in terms of working towards your goals and dreams, but sometimes it's just nice to find like minded people who know how your brain work and respect that - life long fulfillment comes from being understood.

    I kind of get this, but confused, is about the content or is it about the network?

    • @JamesCarbarySF
      @JamesCarbarySF 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s about both. :) That’s the beauty...create great content that attracts an audience while simultaneously building 1:1 relationships with the exact people you want to know (your guests)

    How about an introduction, or a just a hello, why does everything have to be content or digital? Have we lost sight of sight?

    All things aside, inviting your customers to be your guests is a real take away for me. This is niche marketing at its best.
