Korngold knew how to stir the emotions. I've listened to this over & over & it never gets stale. And it's so beautiful, original...

Korngold is the God of Music. No one will ever come close. He was simply perfect.

Bette and Paul, Errol and Olivia. They were so beautiful and their movies take you to a time when movies were great and actors actually acted. Love them all and the music just adds the spice they needed!!

Morgan's reconstruction and the gorgeous performance by the Moscow musicians really emphasise, to me at least, the score's impressionistic nature. The way the cues segue into one another (excluding the marvellous Cello Concerto) creates a continuous flow that gives the sense of a twenty-minute mystical, shimmering tone-poem of shifting moods. Wonderful stuff!
