We can see the result. Randy Barnett has written an excellent book on this called RESTORING THE LOST CONSTITUTION: THE PRESUMPTION OF LIBERTY. It's why I vote Libertarian, the only party truly dedicated to liberty and limited government.

Last time I checked, anchovy cost way more than most types of meat.
Sending out boats the catch it, then transport it, oil it and salt it in the processing, which all have have to be produced/gathered/transported and processed as well will have an even huger carbon footprint than raising cattle.

I think you'll find that going out for a day and netting a ton of fish that costs nothing to raise is cheaper than running a farm and raising animals for a year or 2 before sending to markets. Not sure how you'd get them to the processing plant without transportation either
