The rigor and specification is invaluable. In my experience, I have not encountered a conforming BPMN diagram as BAs usually don't follow the rules and best practices. So this guide helps folk depict business processes accurately, clearly and concisely. Wonderful content. 10 out of 10
Thank you so much for that awesome review. Yes, using a standard BPMN throughout the organization can really help with consistency and a create shared understanding of the notation.
What an excellent and complete description of BPMN! I liked how you broke down the components and rules. It makes it much less intimidating. The example of the loan underwriting procedure was right on and quite relevant! Anyway, how should beginners approach creating their first BPMN diagram? Would love to hear your take!
Great BPMN tutorial! You covered everything from the basics to the detailed aspects of BPMN elements and best practices. If you're getting into process modeling, this video is a must-watch. Thanks!
Thank you, great information and easy to follow and understand! I'm in an Advanced Accounting Information Systems online class and the book was not easy to comprehend.
You're very welcome! Glad the content resonated with you. I'm not sure of your information systems class covers ERDs, data flow diagrams, and UML diagrams but I have videos on those as well if you are interested. Best of luck with your class!
The step-by-step examples made it super easy to understand how to create effective process maps. This will be incredibly useful for optimizing our business processes. Thanks for the clear and detailed explanation!
Wow, this BPMN video was quite informative! I had no idea how many distinct parts and rules were involved in designing business processes. The examples were quite helpful in bringing everything together, particularly the loan underwriting process. I really learned a lot. Thank you!

No. BPM refers to business process management, which is a broader concept that involves activities for optimizing and re-engineering existing business processes. BPMN, on the other hand, is a specific business process modeling notation, with it's own set of rules and standards. BPMN can be used as one of the means to facilitate the execution of BPM. But many notations can be used such as BPMN, UML, or IDEF. I hope that helps.
@@thebadoc Every pool needs at least 1 start event and 1 end event. It must be possible to reach at least one end event in the same pool from each start event (of the same Pool) via a continuous sequence flow. Every activity must have at least 1 incoming and 1 outgoing sequence flow. There are must not be dead ends following the sequence flow. Message flows can’t be used to transfer the sequence flow between pools (they are just for necessary communication between pools). That are just a few annotations imho.

Is bmp and bmpn the same?

I think your process map (last in the video) is wrong based on BPMN 2.0 standards. You should check it
Thanks for that feed back. Can you specify what you think is wrong, so I can review?
