I actually prefer this type of video. A nice change up. I'm a mobile detailer (13 years), and I'm always looking for new ways to improve my work and speed up the process. I'm not gonna nitpick bc everyone is not perfect, and everybody works differently from others. All it matters is that the customer is happy and you're satisfied with your work
I noticed a few areas where I'd agree but I'm thinking that in that location and what the expectation the customer had vs. "normal" pricing the deal could have come down to "what can I get for $250?"....
i wouldn't consider this a full detail , this reminds me of a process of a high volume car dealerships detail department honestly , for me a proper maintenance detail is 2-3 hours , full detail is upwards of 5+ depending on size and condition
I find that wheels and tires take an incredible amount of time as that is usually the dirtiest part of the car. Drying the exterior is a must and also takes a lot of time. Also remember that interior vacuuming and cleaning of the panels and windows also takes a considerable amount of time. 2-3hours sounds just about right like you said but this guy is running his personal business so its a must for him to be time efficient.
@@jeschr3462 i too am running my business , and i got no idea what's involved with that guys service or what his area is like for business , i just do not rush my jobs and i get compensated correctly so i don't feel the need to move faster, but with that said if we are talking a clean model 3 i could bust that out in an hour easy , but a relatively dirty durango will be 2-3
@jeschr3462 Yeah, Tires take work! I spend no more than 10 minutes on tires if it's a first-time detail. I find it is enough time for me to get the tire clean enough for some tire. Shine at the end of the detail.
can someone show me the second bucket is clean of debri every time someone dunks the wash mitt to pre rinse before putting in. a the soap bucket. @jelle8891
Question for you, how do you clean your dirty towels? How do you make sure the dirt leaves the most efficient way without being sucked deeper into the towel and making scrathes in the long run? Is it alright if I just machine wash in the washer without detergent? I dont wanna put any, to make sure it doesnt get stuck in the fibers and cause a mess down the road
Well he did say that he used a strong agent that didn't require brushing. I'm sure the pressure washer combined with the agent would have been enough to remove most of the dirt although personally I would have brushed it.
BMW (and MINI) wheel arch plastics are notorious for "tiger striping" and showing up as hazy/ashy even when cleaned - you _can_ use a ton of trim restore and they'll be good for a couple of weeks (that's what I do for my personal cars) but it'll always come back. really at 11:20 it looked quite bad around the inner edges and where the bolt covers are but again the detailer is working to a budget time wise - for the price paid I wouldn't be upset unless I'd asked for the plastics to be addressed....
Thats exactly what I thought at first but then again I did some more thinking and realized that there's a market for everything. There are people out there that have more car knowledge than others and realize that hand washing cars is vastly superior to automatic car washes. They want to maintain their cars in tip top shape and they have the money for it and are willing to spend it. Its as simple as that. Sure most people will opt for $8-11 car washes, maybe $65 -85car washes at car detail places. But there are always gonna be some that are willing to spend $220-300 for a full detail on their vehicles.
agreed - these days when I leave the McDonald's drive-through for 3 people it tops $55 and I'll be stuck in the bathroom for 40 minutes.... My time is valuable but still.... I guess if I'd rather spend my weekend doing something other than cleaning my car to this level it's money well spent....

Nice display of an economical service that can be offered to every customer and still be profitable for you. For the detailing snobs sorry it doesn’t suit you 😂 but I do this every few months to my car (minus the extraction) and I love seeing these videos to show me how to be more efficient
Your car detailing skills are truly impressive, and I'm eager to learn from you! Would you please consider taking me under your wing for the job? I'm determined and ready to soak up all your expertise. Thanks for considering mentoring me in the world of car detailing!
Cool video! I'm not a pro detailer, just a lady who likes to keep her ride shiny, clean, and pristine. Is the wheel cleaner that you use for detailing for sale? Please let me know. Thanks!
I dont think we should call it "detailing"... Its rather valeting or quick wash but defenetly not detailing... For those who dont agree just check the definition of detailing and you ll see what I mean... But still very good job mate in such a short time...
Nice! How long did this take you? Also are there really people out there that pay $200+ for a full exterior and interior detail? Average people out there (including me at one point) don't seem to realize how incredibly damaging automatic car washes are and just go to those instead for $8-11.
@@Redawesomeoby My guess is that some rich people who really haven't cleaned their car interior for 2+ years will most certainly pay $200 to get their car/SUV cleaned. Especially if they plan to sell it. Otherwise I think most people just go to those quick car wash places. Either way there's a market for everyone and everything basically.
@@jeschr3462 Sure, the detailing market is extremely oversaturated right now with detailers. Paired alongside this is the high price of the service. Most people will simply only use a detailing service when either A, the mess in their car is so bad they won't touch it themselves, B, there's a biohazard, or C, they wanna squeeze every last drop of value they can out of their car before they sell it. Honestly, doing just wash & wax services as a living means you've gotta be really crafty to get past even 2k a month with all the competition. This is why things like ceramic coatings, tinting or even ppf is some areas has went mobile right alongside standard wash and wax services. It's just too low skill.
this is why industry is in state it is now. Who has the stones @ 3:47-3:53 to do and then talk about protecting customer paint :-). Like i said lots of hustlers not professional detailers in industry
Does anyone use pure water to rinse after cleaning, I have one for my windows and and have been using it for my car as well, wondering if the pro's use that or have considered?
Why would you think??? They bought the world beating pro coating onto the market only to embarrass themselves and then take it off the market when everyone found out it was no good. After a lot of people had coated customs cars!!!
The pro coating is the best on the market. I have been using it on customer cars for years. They even had me testing out different coatings before they went to market. Do you have examples of the issues? This is the first time I've heard of this tbh
This ain't a full detail. Didn't even clay the car or do any compound/polish steps! At least paint prep before the spray ceramic. Disservice to call this a full detail.

Only one bucket? Weird!
He did say to rinse the mitt out which implied he used the pressure washer on the wash mitt.

I like to soak the towels in a light detergent and then when I wash them I put distilled white vinegar
