- If you love it, make it floppy! Check out all my awesome friends who appeared in this video:
Jacob (proportional 7x7 guy): / @jacobcubing606
Alex (assembly guy 1): / @cubesmadeeasy
Mike (assembly guy 2): / mikebeach26
For now, I unfortunately won’t be sharing these files, because I had to do a lot of gcode-slicing hacks to get the tolerances tuned for my printers. It’s a finicky process, and very easy to mess up, so I don’t want to set anyone up for failure. If I ever have time, I might share the files and make a tutorial for how to print this properly.
Puzzle specs:
Mass : 4.5 kg (9.9 pounds on the surface of earth)
Edge length : 23cm
Material : PLA

Epic puzzle my dude, thanks for showing my 7x7 in the video
Is This A Type Of A Rubix Cube?
Yes bruh@@Mars2023number
,😡😡🤬🤬😅
This was so much fun to assemble! I didn't realize until then that the "centers" in a multi layer floppy cube don't need to be mechanically connected between both sides. But it makes sense, they're geometrically restricted from being split. Bluetooth centers, essentially.
Often I wish I had a brain that could understand, imagine, design and build such mathematical marvels. But I’m always happy to see people who can do the seemingly impossible using their powers for good.
Those friction squeaks though!
Such an amazing creation!! 👏👏👏
Holaaaa js cuber soy un gran fan me saludas?
No esperaba verte aqui
Why do you say too much spanish speak english too in ur videos pls
having a puzzle that large and heavy reminds me of the first mass produced 13x13, that weighed an absolute ton, and was a genuine workout for me when i was a kid
"Did I just call them cube rotations? I think I meant to say pentagonal prism rotations. HA" 😂
This is insane! I remember meeting you at my first ever cube competition - Baltimore open 2010 and you were one of the first cubers I met in that room full of people. I remember sitting in a group full of kids and we were just solving. I remember when you finished your OG Yottaminx and it blew my mind. Love to see that you're still building puzzles!
"The cube on the left wouldn't work" 2:58, Oskar's "Unproportional Cube" would like a word.
your puzzles are always so beautiful! you put so much work into the craft and it really shows
Flat earthers would like this cube better
Very informative and fun-to-watch video! I really liked your solution to the added error problem. Might be usful for higher SQ-N-Puzzles as well which pretty much suffer from the same issue!
what if multiple of the small wings happen to be on the same edge
When floppy cubes are insanely hard to solve
Those cubes are so incredible, I love it!!
That’s a beautiful puzzle you made awesome job buddy!!
Super cool! Loved watching the solve at the end
crazy good video, totaly loving it! good job man, you have so much potencial, i hope you will grow even more then you are right now! keep it up
insane work!
Thats insane dude
I was curious how you made the pyraminx, this, and the 11 ball in such a quick time. Having 6 3d printers definitely explains a lot
wait I haven’t actually seen any of your videos since that one but your video making has gotten so much better! 10 years can really do that to you huh
I like how mike and Alex are both sitting on the couch and Matt is just standing on the table lol
so clever solution with the wings!!! congratulations!
You’re actually insane!
In addition to the great puzzle, an excellent video too.
This would take me at least 3 life times to figure this shit out 😂
too good!!
This looks so funny and cool. Im surprised that you actually had time to make it!
Awesome! I can tell you put a lot of time into the video. Thanks so much for the explanations! There is so much I don’t know and am curious about that you touched on, and seeing your problem solving process. My brain is chewing on this like laffy taffy💪🧠🥵
It's quite amazing!!
i adore that checkerboard ♥
Mega build! Maybe next time you do a stickerless project like this adding some locating features in the pieces to be glued might help with the alignment of glued pieces.
that's amazing
I actually yelped at the thumbnail. What the hell! This is so sick!!
amazing
Wow that's crazy!
this is insane
oh, it's beautiful
I wonder if a Floppy Quettaminx (10 piece radius counting edge and center, or even a Floppy Quettakilominx (11 piece radius counting edge and center), or even larger is possible to make?
I remeber meeting you at US Nats 2011 and trying out your Royal Floppy.
Wow, this is crazy
Quite interesting!
15:56 you could glue the caps to magnets, so you can remove them if needed.
I love your videos ❤❤
Its very thick and colorfull
I remember being like 11 or 12 seeing the og yottaminx video. Now I turn 20 in
Me thinking that floppy cubes were supposed to be simple kids puzzles:
It is still a kids puzzle but they will be an adult by the time they solve it.
WCA needs to add this now
Preemptive LOOB.❤ Beautiful video Matt.
Wow i learned a lot about puzzle crafting i didn't expect to learn. thanks for taking the time to explain all the intricacies that you deal with when doing projects like this!
I wonder if a super floppy version is possible
bro is addicted to minxes like me
Floppy disk yodaminx
I'm surprised you haven't bought at least one Prusa MMU. It would let you print those wings as one piece in multiple colors without alignment problems.
The fish algorithm for the win
it's so beautiful. respect for all the effort you put in all your puzzles 🥹
Cool
So when's the floppy brontomynx? 😉
Great work on the video
and happy anniversary
Hyper Floppy😮
Do the Ronnaminx next
I decided to call this the sea urchin
can you give us a tutorial on how to make stuff like this
I plan on making full tutorials for Onshape design and 3d printing techniques! It will take me a while though, there is a lot of information. If you want to get started, I have some old tutorials from 2015 that go over the basics of design. They’re a bit dry, but they have all the basics you need to get started
Now all you have to do is make it magnetic...
oh no
hey matt bahner i came up with a design for a big stable cube!
Please solve the yottaminx
I want that
That is crazyyyy!!
Why do I want a Floppy minx that is a 13x13
No way bro did this 😅
Zetamix
What do you consume? I WANT
is that fusion 360
