I could sense there was something odd about Sir Benjamin. Doing a Wikipedia I found that he had a colourful past, strange demands for potential wives (you think asking what star sign a person was is weird). He already has a daughter, but being a chavenist, he wants a male heir to pass on his estate. I'm sure his daughter must be so happy knowing that she isn't good enough because she's female.

I married an older man. One downside that nobody has mentioned is that you will be a younger widow/widower. My husband died five years ago. I'm still experiencing sad days. For everyone rooting for this Benjamin guy: he has already conceived a child with Sahara Sunday Spain. Violet was born in 2021. A girl. He has since pull back on the wedding with the mother at the last hour, and so far refuses to have a relationship with the daughter, which he hasn’t seen and gives only very little money to the mother. This is a despicable person of the worst kind. Just for everyone to know.

I honestly think it doesn't matter what reasons people date for. As long as it makes them happy. For some people money is all it takes to be, for some they need a nice arm candy to be happy. We all die some day, I don't take life that seriously but it's really interesting seeing these couples. Some of them are great combinations.

A parent's worst nightmare is their 20 year old daughter bringing home a 50 year old man. My friend's younger sister did that and her Dad refused to give blessings because he felt the guy was controlling. He was generous and bought her stuff but he decided what "luxury" was appropriate. She would pick a destination, e.g Spain to go on holiday and he would say he'd been there many times so they should go to France instead, oblivious to the fact that she was young and hadn't experienced what he had.
A parents worse nightmare should be being with a 20 something year old that has nothing to offer their daughter! If he can take care of her financially - that’s huge. So many of these young men today are not growing up and won’t contribute to society. As a 50 year old- I surely wish I would have been with older men and not the young idiots I wasted so much time on! They are broke and abusive most of them.

And he wants "two sons", as if daughters are not desirable. Rather than focusing on having an heir, perhaps Sr. Benjamin could research worthy charitable organizations to support. The planet needs protecting, millions of people are struggling, single mothers could certainly us assistance, people need help affording college, animals need homes, and so forth. Those are very worthy causes. Sell your estate, move into a modest residence, and do some things to make the world a better place. That will bring you lots of happiness.

Some good points, but you're not a man. To men a male heir is very important, not that you won't love & bless your daughters. Also, unlike women who expire by mid/late 30s' men are fertile till their 60s'. But he is too caught up in material things which is sad because many aquire some degree of Wisdom by that age😕

It was a very meaningful, beautiful and satisfying experience, and he loves her dearly. He has never expressed any need for a "male heir". Indeed, he just replied that the "male heir" concept comes from "19th century thinking" and it is "inappropriate" and based upon the (often religious) patriarchal systems of the past. His final comment, "Nonsensical."
@@christinaannabel actually it stems from way before that, biblical times. And yes it maybe his perspective, and "nonesensical" based on his perspective. However to others it matters to maintain their lineage especially where family businesses have been built for generations.
