- In Path of Exile: Affliction, @Quin69TV was finally able to conquer his goal of defeating all 7 uber bosses in HCSSF! This video takes a look at the interesting direction that was taken to acheive this goal, making use of a Juggernaut with Transcendence, and the approach of stacking pure physical damage reduction rather than modifiers which grant physical damage taken as other damage types. The build is nowhere near as tanky as many of the build showcases you've seen and will see on this channel, but it was strong enough to down all 7 uber bosses!

* Primalist charms are being used to gain mana reservation efficiency, rage on warcry, and chaos resistance from endurance charges
* Soul of Lunaris major pantheon provides an additional 6% reduced elemental damage taken if hit recently
* 51% reduced effect of curses from jewels (over 100% with flask active)
* Fortify is gained from the Overlord cluster jewel notable
* Nearly 100% uptime onslaught and intimidate from exerted attacks medium cluster jewel

While achieving a 7/7 record is undeniably impressive, the additional feat of farming, piecing together, and crafting the build in a SSFHC environment also warrants significant recognition in its own right.

That's a very cool video. People usually make fun of Quin and never give him enough credit when he does good things.
I instantly liked the video when you specified a very important fact with his Bandit choice : 2% PDR is insane if you are already close to the cap.

What an amazing video. Us dad gamers don’t have the insight to dissect what the pro do with their builds. It would be awesome if you could continue this trend, especially for people that do it in SSF where you just can’t “p2w” for the items you need ❤️
Precursor's emblems are a good replacement for those who want to replicate this to over the SSF friendly rings.
+1 max endurance charge and other per endurance charge mods(say... chaos res per endurance charge, suppression %increased armour, attack and cast speed/damage/or crit to name a few)... and of course synthesized rings for other options to.
to replace the charms would be a loathing crafted helmet(removing the minimal suppression from gloves for the stat taken over for res. eff.), higher tier implicit and finding 2 points to grab battle rouse(and move life mastery converting cost to life to this mastery for res. efficiency)
prbly more efficient ways to, but im not min/maxing this.
would also be curious if finding 3 points to grab sanctum of thoughts(replacing crit mastery for its master) to get armour applying to chaos would be worth it at all for any situation.
I love how everyone used to clown Quin for a long time, now currently he's kinda chad and the same who made fun of him, now want to build the same as him, 10/10 poe community
Tbh, i feel good chunk of ppl just memed abt calling him a clown and such and were still aware that he wasnt actually bad at the game, tho i do feel like a lot of his newer audience never realised that it was just a bit and just took it way too seriously.
Quin has very good mechanics but most of the time his antics warrants him to be called a clown 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The god gamer and the god explainer what a combo
This build is like playing dark soul: "you can kill everything if you live long enough".
And a friendly reminder: this build is tanky but if you don't know what you doing you will die, mostly from degen and eater of world alter which reduce your physical damage reduction.
The Danny Cougar has finally done it.
People make fun of him because he didn't have to dodge most mechanics due to beeing able to facetank them, but to me thats just impressive.

I was watching the TH-cam videos following Quin's progress - and based on that I'm busy levelling my second char through the campaign. Roughly following Quin's build, but cutting some corners (we can't all be god-gamers). I've recently hit act 10, and the different parts of the build are starting to come together nicely.
Something you didn't explicitly highlight is that it is relatively cheap to get a good weapon for this build. It must be an Eventuality Rod (or similar Heist weapon) that grants additional max Endurance - but after that it really only needs a high attack speed roll and a high critical strike chance roll. Everything else after that is a bonus.

Thanks for explaining the concept of his build. I tuned into his stream a few times and was wondering how it works. He did that in SSF, which I assume must have taken a lot of time to get all this gear together.I don't know if I had the patience to grind all this. Maybe some day I'll try that build in softcore trade.
Yeah all in SSFHC, he also wanted to get corrupted implicits on his Loreweave, but after 10-15 temple corrupts he gave up! It was a lot of farming indeed
Affliction makes SSF WAY more forgiving.

nice build. Does Arctic Armour help with PDR? I use Arctic Armour and it doesn't do anything on PoB.
AA grants less physical damage taken from hits while stationary - this doesn't interact with physical damage reduction in any way and is a separate part of the calculation. It will still provide mitigation though, but won't count towards the 90% PDR cap. To see its function in PoB you need to set the 'time spent stationary' box top left in configuration to 1.

This is why POE will always be better than Diablo 4. Offensive spells are comparable within reason; what you find fun is subjective enough that you could prefer D4. But no arpg does defences as good as POE.
I saw on the stream and PoB that he can't tank Uber Maven Fireball, is there any interaction between that move or just too much damage overall. (also didn't know before that the memory game also hit three times too)
Too much penetration on that ability I think
Yeah the fireball is somewhere in the region of 28-30k fire damage with 30% penetration. With molten shell he'd be able to tank a low-mid damage roll on that ability but it's just never worth the risk when it's fairly easy to avoid

I have almost 2k hours in PoE and really never understood defence in the game or how people can stay in Syrus's Storm and just live to tell the tale. Then i found one of your videos with incredible explaining to detail and raised my knowledge of the game to a new level. I tried to run this build.on a cheaper budget and for the life of me I could not figure out why my shield was not recharging 😅 it stayed at 0 the whole time I tried it

How the hell did he find those boots in HCSSF. The only one I've ever found was way back before the change and now I have MF build. Annnnnd a Defiance of Destiny...... wonder if that was a tier 1 or tier 0 drop.
DoD was t1 in 3.23(the league this video is based on). Affliction was kind of crazy, you could pretty much get any unique in ssf

What about chaos damage? There seems to be no significant mitigation for chaos hits and DOTs.
In this version of the build he had nearly capped chaos res, vs uber sirus he had capped chaos res. There's not many dangerous chaos hits in the game, one of the most notable is the partial damage from sirus meteor. DoT is only a problem when the build is unable to attack(and thus generate recovery) for extended periods of time

Pretty much just resistances and recovery, once he is 'ramped' he has incredible recovery

I really love tanky builds. I finally got my bro to use one and he has never felt so relaxed when playing POE, normally I would have to calm him down multiple times a day because he would swear at the game because of the game being "unfair" and "unbalanced" and "untested". We all know that those statements have been true for POE. Bugs are hurting all of us, and some bosses are down right broken for a majority of builds. But now that he does not die he can relax.
I have made this build in the past it was better back then. :-D but it is great to see it return.

I was just curious (no intention to hate anyone whatsoever), but why people call Quin69 a god gamer? I sense it’s clearly sarcasm but wonder what’s the backstory about it.
I usually see him in clips playing zdps build and sometimes gets pretty unhinged. And I roughly understand that Quin build are usually talking about build without DPS and are tedious to play. And he usually (exclusively?) plays in SSFHC so that’s pretty hardcore.
The history of this meme dates to d3 times. Back then he achieved multiple seasonal ladder top spots.
Because back in the days, he was top Diablo 3 racer. Basically Ben_ of D3. Along with Alk and Kripp.
Typical Quin, still zDPS. I'll stick with my squishy but insta-clapping of Ubers.
