Yes, you deserve so much better!! it is so important as young women to be respected and safe. especially when ppl are performing a service. I advocate for you to find a building with good reviews for management and a door man. I vent about this all the time and I can relate to this so much😭 major con of living alone in your 20s as a girl is that maintenance men will try to take advantage of you by charging you for something that you don’t actually owe or taking the easy way out instead of fixing something properly. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this sis and you’re not alone with that frustration
You should get a mold test kit to see what kind of mold it is! Management also needs to clean and treat the spot with mold on it. They don't want to be liable for negative health issues because of their negligence so hopefully they'll get on it

Unfortunately even if they fix the water heater, with all of the leaks there is probably mold behind the walls and ceiling. Don’t take a chance it’s not worth your health 😢

You need an air purifier! I had the same issue in my college dorm with mold in the walls and it triggered my asthma and I was sick for weeks trying to figure out what the problem was. Got an air purifier and never had any issues after that! Hope this helps, even if just for the rest of your lease!

this mold could also be affecting you cats and not just you. they just may not be showing symptoms. you need to get that fixed or move immediately

Girl I had mold in my college dorm and I literally got so sick. I got pneumonia in both of my lungs and it’s the sickest I have ever been. It took months for my cough to go away- I was constantly getting sick all year like flu multiple times, virus, etc.
I think you might have to move… I am worried they will claim it’s fixed again and it won’t be. The mold situation is very serious and you should not have to live like that. I hope this issue is resolved soon 😢
Some landlords are just bad. They only ever do bodge jobs for repairs, if they do them at all. If you have a landlord like that you need to move on, it's the only solution in my experience. Some of them don't value their tenants at all, they're just selfish and care only about themselves. I'm sorry you're in this situation.

Is there any more room/space for the kitties to stretch/run around in your apartment?-lol. You might be allergic to the mold not the kitties. Also, cats can get allergies as well from the mold, pollen...and of course its not good for your health. They need to replace ur water heater not fix it since it keeps leaking. The mold may be in deep inside the wall-hope they don't just paint over it only. Maybe ur mom or dad can be firm with the landlord. U should build some shelves for the kitties to climb they'd love it. Frankie is a doll!!

Love your videos❤️ My dad is a plumber and could help if you decide to stay in this apartment. But if all of these issues continue i would def break the lease and hire a lawyer since mold is a reasonable reason to break a lease

girl seriously move tf out and get out of hoboken idk what is up with NJ law but i heard they're loopholing around fixing serious issues like this in apartments and this is also why i've always lived in old houses because they're heritage protected and they have to fix them by law. for the sake of your health do not stay there find a cute spot in queens or bk rent is cheaper and you can find a slightly cheaper spot!
