I went to middle school with Derrick and played football with him. Always the guy on the football bus rides doing impressions of the coaches. Keep it up, man! Harvest Alabama Reppin
That's super dope💯

"sleepin in a cold sunroom using a rug as a blanket"
...
Lmfao. That kinda sh*t happened so much more often than I liked to remember.
Happened to me a couple times only using couch pillows as blankets
Yep. Never drove drunk, but I sure as shit have slept under plenty of dining room tables and walked my ass off for miles nearly blacking out
I remember waking up under a trampoline and once in my best friends sisters bed fully clothed including shoes and some random other girl not the sister. It was awkward.
You actually REMEMBER?!
@alynntrendowski3229 omg, yes!!! When you're hanging out at a party where the host was too broke to have enough booze, so you're waiting for 6am to buy more alcohol from the gas station (it's Louisiana), then powerblackout, so's you can wake up around noon-thirty 🖤
Damn! Bro earned that sweat - that pace of jokes was fast, furious and funny as hell. Now I'll go and look up rest of his stuff.
He opens for bert, and john b christ go see him live somehow he's even funnier
Me too...I passed by this video numerous times..mainly because I have a shirt just like his..and I became sad...anyway...I'm gonna look up more of his stuff❤
Absolutely agree
Furry* a hell.
Was laughing loudly!
“Sleeping in a sunroom….will day light ever come?!”
Yea I’ve been there 😂
I once slept in a movie theatre, went into the bathroom and took paper towels and toilet paper and shoved it under my clothes to keep warm. Slept on three seats, the movie was playing all night for whatever reason, it just never stopped. I picked the worst movie to sleep in, it was some action movie. I woke up to explosions in one scene every flip of the movie. Some guy rolled down the aisle with janitor's cart/rolling garbage and I rolled down to the ground, he definitely saw me but didn't say anything, God bless 'em.
MAN! that line killed me. I remember that.
We used to sleep in my friend sun room like twice a month cuz he was Jewish and we could drink Jewish wine with his mom then we would play video games till his dad would yell at us for being too loud and would make us leave out the front door but his mom would run and open the sunroom for us and even their son would come sleep out there with us
Born in 1984, started Kindergarten in 1990 and ended 1999 in 9th grade...a genuine 80s baby/90s kid and all of this is spot on!!! All the memories came flooding back, good and bad...but I wouldn't change it for the world. 80s/90s was an awesome time to be a kid, I feel like society really ramped up to tailor to children in those decades. Everything was bright and multicolored, crazy patterns, cartoons went absolutely bananas, toy companies went even crazier with new stuff coming out every day with a commercial to match, playground equipment got real experimental 🤣, amusement parks went ham on their new rides and attractions, no one did kids and family friendly movies like the 80s/90s, dance music was all the rage...just one big party! Ahh, what a time to grow up ❤
Take me back to those times, God, please 🙏.
"Tyler promised us he was going to be sober, Tyler lied!!!" It was at that moment I locked in. He could have kept going for another 15 minutes and it would have felt like the same length of time.
Broooo sammmmeeee
I laughed and never looked back
Yeah he had 3 separate joke premises that could have been the full act all by themselves.
Making it home was pretty fleshed out, but the "Really I'm the gay one?" had so much more to be said.
Same!! And I certainly HAVE used a rug (and a damp towel, and a throw pillow) as a blanket😂
My name is tyler so he caught my attention too 😅
@@degreaseLLC LOL I can imagine if your were buzzed on something sticky that scene had you apologizing to TH-cam.
‘Kings and Queens of the Irish Goodbye’ is such a beautiful phrase, I’m sad I can’t imagine any ways to use it in my day to day speech
Just wait... You'll be at the bar someone will Uber or Lyft home and you'll know...now's the time
How is it g......
Don't use it, just leave
Just drop it out of context & see what happens...
What is an Irish goodbye?
The bit about being stranded at a party was so damn relatable! Whether your friends were drunk, hooking up or just left without you. No Uber meant we were sleeping at a stranger's house and it was definitely WEIRD lol
The titty-twister part was most relatable to me.
Suddenly regretting the decision to wear shorts since you can’t find a blanket. Tough times lmao
most of us just left the party early so we could get our rides. As long as you had leftover buds someone would drive you 😂
I still won't take a ride from anyone to an event because of that shit lol
Listening to the girl you like make out with someone else at end of party, and you can’t leave because your ride is passed out drunk. Ahhh the times.
"They're in Subaru's makin it home.". 😂
"I was tight around that circle. I had ponytails on my knees." 😂😂😂 Underrated visual!
Bro I'm so confused, what does that mean?? 😂
@@magpie.314 I’m assuming he was running so close to the kids that were still sitting in a circle on the ground/floor that his knees were hitting the ponytails of all the girls who were wearing them lol 😂😂
Cause he was so fast as the goose. Creating wind around the circle.
That ate a pack of gushers and drank a Gatorade to get us where we got to go line had me rolling 😂
That cracked me up, too. My high school drinking and driving days (not proud of it) was during the late 90’s and when I graduated in the spring of 2000 and it’s crazy the things people will come up with. It wasn’t even to sober up, but what we thought would beat a breathalyzer (as if it would even work). We were told to put a penny in our mouth. Of course, we were drunk, but still, we didn’t even question it lol. Uber was founded 5 years after I finished with college. It would’ve been nice to have during high school/college! Thankfully, I never got caught by the law while drinking and driving!
I lived in a rural area, so we always took all of the backroads we could! If there was a time that a party wasn’t going on, we’d go “backroading” which is just loading up in a vehicle and driving the backroads to drink that night, in case there’s anyone who isn’t familiar. I wonder if kids still do that.
"IF WE DON'T GET A MEXICAN PIZZA, WE'LL ALL DIE TONIGHT!" lmfao...been there.
It's like my life flashed before my eyes lol
Either that Little Caesars bro.. at least back when they were actually $5. Me and my buds used to have a feast… 💀😂🤣

This guy has a trifecta of topics, timing, and tone. So easy to listen to, the way he carries everyone's attention so consistently
This dude had me rolling the whole time...his dui bit is so funny and probably the most original take on it that I've ever heard. His whole energy and bit was spot on. The cadence of his timing and delivery is spot on
I'm 48 and my brother is 44 and he still flinches if you move twords his chest. Love it, I gave my 14 year old one a couple of months ago.
Dude is so intense!! Just one joke after another without breaks, like a man!!
Perfect for a 15 minute set, impossible to keep up for an hour. He's so good though!!
Oh my gosh, I just screamed when this randomly showed up on my TH-cam feed. I went to school with Derrick, and he has always been one of the funniest people I have ever known. Good guy too :) So proud of you, Derrick 🥰

Pencil Break were your pencil well you see what happened was
the 90s were lawless for sure. a game kids used to play when i was a kid was asking ''are you the gay in the cage?'', and if you said yes, then you'd be called gay but if you said no then they'd run away in terror and yell ''the gay is loose! the gay is loose!''. in retrospect, the bicuriosity was probably there, but thats how the old days were.
😂😂😂
It's crazy how similar that sounds to something I've seen kids do in childhood
😂Yeah. As funny as he is relatable.
Omg🤣🤣🤣💀💀💀💀

"This ain't the goose you want buddy " 😅😂
i heard a radio ad for duckduckgo, but just hearing it in the background "duck duck gggg.." made the hair stand up straight.
I was born in 91 but my aunt was born in 82 and when she wasnt in school i was with her all the time from 4 and up. I watched all the shows and movies with her. Played all the games and listened to all the music with her

"I got into crockpots real heavy" 🤣🤣🤣
I liked how he didn't just berate other generations, and how he made this funny and accessible. Crock pots? Epic!
Yep. Almost didn’t click because of that title.
The crock pot is the original set it and forget it cooker. Lol
9:36 bruh I still go out in a pair of sweats or basketball shorts and think “better tie these suckers tight” in fear someone’s gonna pants me 😂

85 as well and so do I 😊
I like how the crowd seemed super quiet/judgmental when he first started because of his accent, but then opened up and started laughing as the show went on
It's a soundboard
@@felixsupreme22 you think so?
@@Zebra_Cakes seems too unnatural almost like a sitcom type laughter. Also, inconsistent with the audio level of the mic, like much louder and overbearing.
That's not to say this isn't funny. Quite the opposite, he's hilarious!
@@felixsupreme22 🤔 I didn’t notice that. Could be
I don't think it's because of his accent. I think all crowds are like that if they're unfamiliar with the comedian.

@@keetasingletary And I'm so glad! I'm a teacher now and I do not envy my students lol
I'm in South Africa and I can relate to a lot of his childhood games. The 90s were such an incredible time 😅
@@keetasingletaryMillennials definitely have more life experiences than most living generations.
@keetasingletary Yeah us 90's kid's don't get enough respect! We had a childhood without the internet just like the boomers did! I think the problem is that the term millennial is considered kid's born in both the 80's and 90's. There's a huge difference between a person born in 1987 compared to 1996! The person born in the 90's had a completely different childhood compared to the kid's born in the mid to late 80's. What Derrick said is 100% true. The 90's kid's are the last of the old school generation's.
My name is Ryan, born in 87, and I got my 3rd DUI the same year UBER came out. LMAO. Super relatable comedy!

‘86ers unite! I was literally just ranting to someone a week ago about people who were born in like 1997 calling themselves ‘90s kids. No bro, you were a ‘90s infant.
That made me think of Kiss or Kill, Smear the Queer, Bloody Knuckles (or the one where you slapped the tops each others hands), some game that you took turns slapping two or three fingers against each other's forearm trying to leave welts... Some of those games are definitely crimes now.
I vaguely recall my idiot friends and I literally just whipping coins at each other as hard as possible from across the room.
Hot hands, butts up , prank calls... Good times😊
We used to get so bored waiting for our parents to finally show up in our elementary school aftercare program. By the time 5:45 rolled around you stopped giving AF. One day someone got the idea to play our own version of that quick moving knife in between your fingers hand splayed open thing… with fully sharpened number two pencils. For a while, I owned that shit until one day, I accidentally stabbed the top of my friends hand with 10 fully sharpened pencils, causing the tips to break off inside her and blood poured out everywhere. Tried to explain to the principal that it wasn’t on purpose and just a game, but it was a rough sell to say the least.
Just a sidenote, I was born in 84 and it was a different world then, instead of pressing charges her parents ended up taking me to Disney World with them for five days about a month after that incident.
Smear the queer was definitely a sudden and intensely violent game. Glad I survived.
