The most beautiful cinematography of the year (Aside for the technical marvel that is "1917") and one of the best written stories of the decade. My favorite of the year but France chose to send Les Misérables instead. Bad choice.

Willem Dafoe put on a masterclass for all actors in 2019. A performance worthy of more than an Oscar. It's disrespectful to not even nominate him (and even Pattison). Smh at the academy. Biggest snub since 2015 when Jake Gyllenhaal was left out for "Nightcrawler."

Ok I know everyone's complaining about The Lighthouse being snubbed, which truly does kinda suck. But let's be honest here, the list we're left with is way better than any Oscars list of the past couple of years, 2019 was an amazing year for film and there are some pretty damn good ones up for the Oscars even if some were snubbed. The Lighthouse is still an amazing film regardless of it getting an oscar nomination or not. Me personally I have my eyes on Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, Irishman, Marriage Story, 1917 and Parasite as my top 5 films I want to win best picture but we'll see.
I understand the argues for Dafoe, Eddie, Taron and Sandler not making it, cause the challenge is really tough. But Awkwafina and Lupita??? Cmon now, they were amazing!

Ok I know everyone's complaining about The Lighthouse being snubbed, which truly does kinda suck. But let's be honest here, the list we're left with is way better than any Oscars list of the past couple of years, 2019 was an amazing year for film and there are some pretty damn good ones up for the Oscars even if some were snubbed. The Lighthouse is still an amazing film regardless of it getting an oscar nomination or not.
Me personally I have my eyes on Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, Irishman, Marriage Story, 1917 and Parasite as my top 5 films I want to win best picture but we'll see.
