What exactly is so great about Zendaya? What has she actually achieved career wise that outshines Annette Benning ?
At 27 yo she has been singing, dancing and acting on television and in films for 17 years already earning two Emmys and a Golden Globe award. Her accomplishments do not demean Annette Bening in any way.

@@lilykyra8812 I do understand you. I am a boomer who still finds 30-40's movies amazing. With the advent of TV and the 'net our culture has changed and its norms are evolving. The quantity of content across various outlets and mediums makes it difficult to see all the nominees. Who would have thought that so many movies debut on a wall in your home on 6-foot screens? Hollywood remains as the icon and the gold standard but what does "star " mean now and for whom?

Lots of great looks. Not too shabby overall.
But the weird shoulder straps floating a clear 2 inches above Florence Pugh's and Emily Blunt's shoulders....I guess they couldn't tailor that part...must have felt weird
@@LindaC616 For Flo that was part of the style and being different because there were shoulder straps underneath her high ones. Same with Emily, it's just a way to be different. They can get anything tailored, that was on purpose. and it still looked good on both of them
@talon3684 the dress bodice looked OK (though Emily's does indeed look like tighty whities. But nope, that shoulder bit just makes it look like the dress was made for someone who is a foot or two taller
@@LindaC616 I hear you on that but to me, it still felt like an actual style choice. It made it feel more costume than dress style but still pulled it off. I wasn't a fan of the front of Emily's dress - it did give a tighty whities feel now that you mention it. They could've done without that detail
@talon3684 I didn't come up with that, there were other comments online. The color was nice on her.
I guess if she were going for a "space suit" look, I'd see the bit on the shoulder straps...but it feels incongruous with the rest of the design (evening gown, awards show, fabric that drapes but clings...)
