- This was day 3 and 4 our Switzerland/France Tour in 2019 and the second & third day in the French Alps which I combined into a single video. We had our hotel in the heart of the French Alps and stayed for three nights to tour the area.

Really appreciate you doing your ride videos with English narration. Your videos have international appeal and I'm pretty sure most of us don't speak German. Really nice videos, thanks for sharing them!

@@simon1290r I am not really active on Instagram - it takes time to manage all the gear during the ride - there still needs to be time to actually enjoy it 😎 I prefer to take the time to upload something nice rather than fast in Instagram. I know some can do this on the go - but YT let's me take my time to get the material ready for all of you - cheers 🤘

@@peterjones246 I am actually currently planning a trip through Switzlerland to Lake Garda in Northern Italy to stay for 2 or 3 days next month in July. Providing the borders open fully without any required isolation. July 20- Aug 01.

Thank you! I was glad nothing serious happened. It is incredible how much high temperatures can wear you down. I would do shorter day rides now during the hot months - in May/June this would have been less of a problem.

Have you ever travelled the route des grande alps? I did it last year, well worth a trip to do it.

I know - I was planning to go to Croatia etc. in May. I guess we need to make the best of it know. I am still hoping to travel in August/September but I am not making any plans yet.

Thank you very much. Pick a catchy sound track - about 10-15 sec however long you want your intro to be and start doing short cuts of the content you are about to show. You can spice it up with some transitions effects & sounds and title animations - once you have all that it can serve as a template where you just swap out the video files to make it work for whatever content your are showing. You can buy complete intro packages too if you prefer - I just built mine from the ground up. hope this helps

Gut das Thomas nix passiert ist! 450km und um 10 Uhr gestartet? Wie zur Hölle macht ihr das? Wir haben meist nur 350-400 geschafft :D.
Das Vorschaubild kommt auch nicht im Video vor oder? Hast du das von einem Fotografen? Ich hab ein zieeemlich ähnliches Bild :D
Gut aufgepasst - wie in der Beschreibung steht ist das der Zusammenschnitt aus 2 Tagen in der Region - wir haben so viel Zeit am ersten Tag verloren, dass es nur wenige Videos gibt. Am 2. Tag ging es früher los deshalb waren wir auch früher retour - beides Touren von 430-450 km - Das Vorschaubild war von der Tour vom Col de Vars - aber richtig erkannt es gibt keine Videos von diesem Col - der ist dem final edit zum Opfer gefallen ;-)

Needless to say ride careful, you guys ARE moving....And then again, watching the two of you, we thoroughly enjoy.....the grunt of your Katooms, the spectacular photography, the music, this episode you were surpassing yourself...I am going to share this one with my South African buddies. Their eyes will pop..!
Thank you Thomas for the kind words and I am glad you enjoyed the video. We were lucky with our respective crashes - The long days of riding alone has not been an issue but you add the heat and dehydration and this is a different story - also we should have take more breaks too - we were trying to make it to the tire store to get his rear tire changed too so we were rushing it - we just couldn't compromise with cutting a perfect tour short ;-) In the end the tire store was not even open - but the lesson is learned - I will do shorter day ride if I am expecting such hot weather - Ride Safe!
Is your fork nice and tight now? :) I did a small trip today +3 later on +2 and snow so I turned back home. Well, that life above the Polar circle. Normally warmer this time a year, in a few more weeks weather, will turn around. Once again super nice video from you, very high-quality. Tummen upp!
Thank you very much - wow that is still very cold where you live. It is quite nice here and really too dry for this time of the year. I have not gotten around to tighten the stearing head bearing yet - with the little time I had I also went for a short cruise instead ;-) I miss the longer rides ...

Nice compilation, love the drone shots. The 1290s suits you better then a Harley :-) have been there also 2 years ago, very nice roads!

Another very enjoyable video for me to watch my friend. Shame about the "Off", but as a biker, we know its a risk we all take when we cock a leg over our pride and joy (I'm not talking about the Mrs 😉). Keep the videos coming, they help with the sanity 👌😁

I'm looking forward to that time here in the UK where we can do more than "essential" travel. My day ride involves riding 'straight' to work and then riding 'straight' back home afterwards. Still, I shouldn't complain. Many a biker will be stuck looking at their bike(s) they've just spent the last 6 weeks cleaning. At least mine is dirty 😆. Take care mate 👍

Wirkliche Erfahrungen hab ich nur mit diesen beiden hier th-cam.com/video/UdLMEIycxRw/w-d-xo.html - Meine Empfehlung auf Basis von eigenen Erfahrungen ist immer noch der Conti Road Attack 3 trotz dieser Erfahrung hier: th-cam.com/video/ImWJbe-07as/w-d-xo.html. Von anderen KTM 1290 SAS / 1250 GS Fahrern wird der Michelin Road 5 sehr gelobt für seine Fahreigenschaften und Haltbarkeit - vielleicht probiere ich den selber auch mal aus irgendwann. hoffe das hilft
danke dir. Stehe vor einen Kauf der 1290 SAS Bj 2020.Bin die letzte Woche Probe gefahren und mich hat es erwischt. Die Händler wollen Platz für die Neue schaffen und vertickern die jetzt für 14000. Somit werde ich zusätzlich zu meiner geliebten Z eine Tourenmaschine gönnen. Das ist der Grund meiner Frage. Lese zwar auch einiges in den Foren aber da gibt es oft ein Für und Wider. Was ist mit der Continentalgeschichte geworden?

So weit ich weiß wird die 1290 SAS immer noch mit Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2 ausgeliefert oder nicht? Damit sollte das kein Thema sein bei Deiner Neuen. Frohe Ostern ;-)

Greetings! Roads look familiar as have done a ride there last September with a friend. Happened to notice that your Friend (Thomas?) is wearing Stadler Suit. I've stopped in Black Forrest on my way home at the Motorrad Ecke in Schwenningen, who have got a good selection of Stadler Products. I was actually looking to buy one whiles there, but due to my tall and slim frame, it was a case of going down a bespoke route. So question is, what suit does your friend have? Considering you two and I were in same places at a similar time of year, the suit must've been just perfect for him? I like Klim gear, but none of it fit me at all and I find it all to be way to baggy.
Yes - that is a Stadler suit - same with you he had to go the custom route as he is also very tall but I cannot not tell you what the name of the suit is - I will ask him. Great quality suit and Stadler provides excellent service too.
MotoVibes looking at the video again, by comparing against the brochure I have in hand and what I can pick up on, it seem like Thomas wearing a previous incarnation of Stadler Supervent 2 Pro as Supervent 3 Pro is slightly different.
I am looking at getting Track 2 Pro in recently announced Black. But going die custom route, meaning I can chop and change colour way as I wish, albeit from the range of colours that Stadler keep in stock.

MotoVibes great stuff! An upgrade for a new biking season is always good fun. Has his 1190R fallen into category of “ insurance writeoff”? Damage did not look bad in the video, but I guess it probably was worse than it looked.
@@ev8301 No - the bike had minimal damage - the steering bar is replaced and the bike is getting a new coat of paint. It was just scratches for the most part. Mine looked a lot worse because the Akra muffler took a good hit 😬

Echt der Wahnsinn die Aufnahmen und eine schöne Zusammenstellung. Das müssen doch Tonnen von Material sein, die da zusammenkommen auf deinen Touren. Wie behältst du da den Überblick?
Vielen Dank - das waren auf jeden Fall viele Videos dieses Mal - hab es etwas übertrieben und oft die Kamera mitlaufen lassen - naja sind ja jetzt 2 actions cams, die Drohne und der Osmo Handheld Gimbal. War über 2 TB an Rohmaterial bei dieser Tour - ist ja alles in 4K gefilmt. Ich sortiere das dann zu Hause nach Datum und Kameratyp - danach werden die einzelnen Videos mit kurzen Labels (zum Inhalt) versehen beim Sichten - das dauert halt eine ganze Weile aber macht dann später den Videoschnitt leichter.
@@MotoVibes Ufftata und Respekt. Da den Überblick zu behalten, erfordert schon große Disziplin. Und viel Geduld, denn das Sichten braucht ja fast mehr Zeit, als die Fahrt an sich. Nach meiner Erfahrung jedenfalls. Der Schnitt wird auch nicht gleich beim ersten mal klappen, oder?
Auf jeden Fall eine tolle Leistung.
@@pingel9155 Ich würde mal schätzen 16-18 Std. für Bearbeitungszeit für dieses Video - ohne die Zeit fürs Vorsortierung (dauert Tatsache eine Weile) und die Musikauswahl. 😬

I know it looks like we racing all the time - we are not - this just a few minutes of what a normal day of riding looks like for us - we were exhausted and dehydrated - should have take more breaks too - we had temperature way above 30°C - but thank you for your concern - be safe too 😉
