With coe and other taxes, the price of one new car in sing can buy about 2.5 to 3 identical cars with that amount in other cities. That makes majority people go for MRT.
former sg resident living in aus here. still chime in to your videos every now and then esp when derryn is in it!! he's got such a way with words it makes reviews like this just pure entertainment haha
5:36 When this kind of Sienta will available in Indonesia? My favorite thing about it is that it has three rows, but it is still compact. 7:46 the former Indonesian Sientas r already outdated, for example, they didn't have Toyota Safety Sense (TSS)
Hi there, wagons are not very popular in Singapore so it's not likely. But the facelift Corolla Altis is due here soon, we will probably review that next year.
This is a very good review by the older gentleman and the younger presenters covered the 'fun' parts by acting a bit like kids. This is clever reviewing, possibly having an appeal to we Brits because Singapore humour and British is somewhat similar. I am an elderly man with some disabilities and currently drive a Yaris Verso automatic (torque convertor type) which I appreciate will not last forever. It is classified as an MPV, now a rare class. Here in Europe we drown in a sea of overpriced SUVs and many are 'pure EV'. There is nothing 'pure' about EVs in production or the source of electricity in most European countries. Hybrids are a solution and it is clear that currently petroleum IC engines will be replaced by hydrogen. Mr Toyoda's grandfather and great uncle experimented with hydrogen ICEs in the 1930s in secret from the military of that time then it was set aside as the Toyota company did well in the USA with "gasoline" vehicles. Europe had to wait but the UK and Ireland received right hand drive ones before LHD models became familiar on the Continent. The "thoughtful" details in Toyota cars remarked by the young lady is a hallmark of the brand, especially on vehicles used by families. Sportier models and Lexus sometimes omit what is useful to a wide age range and families, by nature, have that. I still do a school run but for my grandchildren this time around as my 'kids' are their parents. There is beauty in utility and most westerners cannot see it in car showrooms because they are crammed with 'style statement' junk which all look the same. When western buyers wake up to cars for purpose being different from cars for show we will see the return of the MPV. The mention of wheelchair use sometimes applies to me and no European manufacturers make such a car since VW Group killed the Skoda Yeti. Your review has helped me to choose the next car and it will be Toyota and probably the Sienta. I am sure I will get used to CVT drone but hope that Toyota and Honda return to TC models in due course. Many thanks sirs and madam.
Heard that Nissan will officially sells Serena e-power in Thailand next year, if not, then the Sienta Hybrid is really the only choice for me. Really perfect for my kids. As well! if Sienta Hybrid is really selling here too. As an owner of Nissan Kicks Gen 2, e-power is really impressive.
Toyota is said to be working on a 1.2 liter version of this 3 pot hybrid powerplant. That in a sub 4 meter Sienta would make a lot of sense here in India. Earlier Sienta had a 60/40 front row seat. The awesome dashboard mounted gear selector arrangement is incomplete without it.
My thought exactly! Doesn't seem Toyota gives us these cars in europe though.. And nothing even close in loading capacity except the ProAce City Verso which is massive and heavy in comparison, and a Peugeot... Only downside to the Sienta vs the old Yaris Verso/FunCargo is that the 2nd row of seats creates a half-wall when folded instead of folding flat or hiding under the fron seats like in the old one.
Seems there's a difference between the version in Singapore and Japan. in the Japanese version the second row of seats folds flat as well 😃 I might import one in the future..
@@Tiaan90 then there are even more version. I found out that there is a 7 seat and a 5 seat. I think the back seats of the 5 seat version fold into the ground. That's why i want it. Then there is so much space in the back
@@MajorNoje The japanese version seems to both be 7 seat and fold completly flat. At least the version I looked at. A 5 seater would be most interesting for me too! I have av 01 Yaris Verso today, and have loaded all kinds of things into it. This summer I removed the fron passenger seat and loaded my Triumph Street Triple motorcycle in it 😂 I just stood there and laughed. But it worked so well!
This review r more neutral and honest, unlike the sgcarmart review Every cars have it's weakness and strong point. Honest reviews will give potential buyers have more understanding of this car If the reviews r just purely praising a car. Might as well I watch an advertisement
no car is ever worth the money in singapore.

Hi there, wagons are not very popular in Singapore so it's not likely. But the facelift Corolla Altis is due here soon, we will probably review that next year.

Singel blower only and no fog lamp?
That's right

Yes, this MPV does not have second-row air con vents.

Unfortunately Toyota don't offer this incredible car here in Brazil.
Any 12V power supply?
Yes it's down near the floor so it's hard to see
Great review. Thanks.

Glad you liked it!

The Serena is not a bad choice too, it's taller, though a little less wide, and rattles a bit more than the Toyota on bumps.
whats her @... on side note, lookin forward to have it as PI version
150k for a car... this is madness...can buy 10 of these for the price in the us lol
We call it Uniquely Singapore Madness TM
10? Cars are cheap in US but not that cheap.
@@dr34mc4st3r What he meant is it's insanely overpricing. The real car price is only about SGD26K in Japan.

7:00 "VCD" in 2022?..heeee
Finally someone remembers VCDs! From JB!
Why sienta in singapore looks interesting than sienta in Indonesia(?)
This is Japanese import bro:)
Aiyo Singapore air quite good already la
Hope Malaysia got
Noo guys this is the toyota yaris verso revised. I CANT WAIT hope it comes to europe
The first-gen Sienta shared platform with the Yaris Verso, but this is quite different from that car.

the copy the Fiat Panda, but larger!
Lots of people say it looks like a Fiat Panda...and a bit like a Multipla. hahaha
Stupid that Toyota is neglecting western markets with this car.
It would be immensely popular
face look like 2005 renault kangoo
I would that much for an underpower station wagon. Throw in 250HP then I'd say it's worth it price.
Imagine Toyota produce the gazoo racing Version of this sienta 😂
We'd be all over that!
The original looks way better than this...
The first Sienta is the OG for sure
Agree but still ugly.
$156k...my kid like this van...😆😂
Hondalisation
Freed review coming soon!
Boxy = van 😂😂
Going backwards
Man, this car is getting uglier for every generation, Honda Freed is a better looker.
120k USD for a Sienta, lmao
It isn’t cool 👎

Thank you for the kind words Bart. We do try to balance it all out and review cars from a consumer perspective, especially for mainstream cars :)
