I love when Danielle calls Shane “the cool guy” when picking him and he responds by doing a weird walk and saying “the cool guy :)”. You’re right, it truly sets the tone for that whole tribe
Never forget the stupidity of the young men of Vanuatu. According to post game interviews Sarge approached them on day 1 to form a 5 person alliance, but they said no. So Sarge went and made a 5 person alliance with the other 4 men on his tribe.
List of alliances that have close to no understanding of the concept that you needed a majority to be effective: - The Muscle Alliance (One World) - The Younger Men's Alliance (Vanuatu) - The Cool Kids Alliance (Caramoan) - Russell's Zapatera Alliance (Redemption Island)
@freddytang2128 After the immunity challenge, the premier episode was edited to present the idea that on the outside, Chris was an obvious first boot, but in reality, the Fat Five alliance secretly slowly forms and blindsides Brook and the audience. If that was shown, then the blindside loses shock value since the Fat Five would have been shown to have formed before the immunity challenge and the shock of the blindside will be gone.
For me the exile alliance from tocantins is one of the most confusing alliances ever. Like, they were built up so much in the edit of the early game, Brendan and taj were like 50% of the screen time of those early episodes whenever they went to exile, only for them to literally have 0 role in anything that happens in the postmerge. Like, didn’t they find the idol as well? And nobody ever played it… I was just so lost as to why they didn’t get together or anything, it was almost as if it never existed! Idk that alliance always confused me 😂
Taj's explanation from an interview. "Once we merged, Brendan and Sierra completely changed. And we expected that. Because they had the numbers, they really didn't need us. They could wipe us out and keep going, plus they had the Idol. So when they didn't come through on their side of the bargain, we figured we had to change things up and just completely go on without them."
They found both the idols actually… and Stephen and Taj made a fake one And one idol left with Brendan and the fake idol left with Joe at his medevac. And both those happened like immediately after the merge.
I can understand Brendan and Sierra not wanting to continue it…but I don’t understand why it was hyped up by the editors so much for the first half of the game.
Brennan had the right idea but his two biggest mistakes was first not taking the alliance to seriously by literally not telling a fourth of the alliance about the alliance with Sierra and his second mistake was not reassuring Taj when the merge first happened I agree with what he was doing not trying to make it obvious by talking to her and hanging out with her but he could have at least reassured her by letting her know that they were good and every once in awhile having some type of communication with her but the plan to not make it look obvious guy trying to keep his distance was a good plan just executed in the worst way you can do it

The only season of Survivor that I ever seriously followed was Millennials vs. Gen X, and I feel like an honorable mention needs to go to the Gen X Six Alliance (consisting of Paul, Chris, Bret, Sunday, Lucy, and Jessica) that imploded almost immediately. I'll give a brief history of what happened: -The women decided to vote off Paul over some sexist comments he made -Those same women blame Jessica and decide to turn on her -David plays his immunity idol on Jessica, which saves Jessica from immunity, sends Lucy home, and convinces Jessica to find a new alliance in Ken and David After that the remaining three members mostly scramble to join anyone that will take them
Then we also have the what so ever "Tri-force" with 4 members on the Millennials tribe? It's haliarious how bad all four of them played. But at the same time, they are so relatable as i would probably be just as bad as they were if I were out there
