- Many of you guys asked me to try out the McDonald's in Spain. And the signature burger at McDonald's caught me by surprise because it was one of the best burgers out of all the McDonald's I've tried. I also loved the cheesy croquettes! After eating at McDonald's, I also stopped at Burger King and tried out some of the interesting items there.
So here's my review and comparison of Europe's McDonald's and Burger King in Spain.

I wanna thank you Mike. I am battling diabetes and chronic kidney disease, I already lost my right leg to diabetes. There are so many things I can no longer enjoy. Travel is difficult because I have dialysis treatment 3 or 4 times weekly for 4 hours at a time. The worst is I can't eat many of my favorite foods. Tomato, picked anything, salty foods, dairy of all types just to list a few. Watching your travels and food videos on all of your channels really makes my days more bearable. Its really upsetting knowing all the Mc Donalds and Burger Kings serve the same low quality crap here in the states. Yet the rest of the world has 10x better service and food quality.
mostly because if every mc donalds were the same as the US ones, you wouldn't find a lot of mc donald around the world they have to adapt.
It's the demand. North America mentality has always been and continues to be quantity over quality. Outside NA even fast food is held to a higher standard. They hay have less options but they don't have to search as hard for good stuff

Most ppl state side can barely cook for themselves (outside of things a child could make) so a big standard they have is Fast Food, that's weird right? Fast Food to Many people State Side is the Standard of how things should be. Whereas in other Countries it's Fast Food that has to constantly bring it's standards up!
Australian McDonalds and Burger King are pretty average too

Mikey, fun fact. Burger King isn't called Burger King here in Australia because someone already had the name Burger King registered here as a business name. So Burger King here in Australia is in fact called 'Hungry Jacks'.

Fast food around the world always looks better than home
Not really, a lot of people from different countries has tried Spanish McDonalds and Burger King and they say it's incredibly better, I don't know because I'm from Spain, so I can't compare

America honestly has the worst fast food... everywhere else is legit better than here unfortunately.. I've only tried fast food in 6 Countries but- so far they have been alot better than here in the US.. unfortunately..

I have already seen several youtubers impressed positively with the quality of the burgers of these places in Spain, I imagine that in countries with good food quality and good cuisine you can eat better even in fast food

Well. It is very easy to understand that if you are sorruonded by fantastic and cheap food every where you look, if McD or BK don´t offer good food, they won´t sell a single burguer and won´t earn a penny.
The cultural enviroment shows you the way to do things. And when talking about food, Spain is Spain.
@@carlosgracia9888I think it also has something to do with the fact that controls and sanitary institutions limit the sanitary levels of food........."the wolf cannot be put to take care of the flock of sheep"..... the healthier the food, the richer it tastes and the fewer diseases derived from products added to food

One of the many things I like about you, Mikey Chen, is how you give fast food a try (and love most of it). You don’t bash or look down on it like most foods snobs but give every fast food chain a chance 👍🏻

About the Galician beef....growing up on our rural Virginia, USA farm we always killed our own beef and it was always older cows near "retirement". The beef was always tender and flavorful. Best burger meat ever!

When I was leaving on my flight from Madrid to Paris I had a burger(double cheeseburger) from burger king and it was one of the best burgers I had in my life nothing compared with burgers in the states(us). I tell you, man, if you travel abroad try to eat some of the fast-food they have.

This is strange. In Korea, Mcd's is fun and hopping. Here in Holland, it's really chic, more like a very nice Starbucks. A couple of years ago, when they got their new cappuccino machine, we swore McDs had the best coffee in town. Currently, they're serving a Masterchef Angus that's our go-go post movie meal. The bun tastes like toasted brioche.
In the US - I went to graduate school there- they made you feel bad for eating there.
Because some countries do have taste especially European counties, New Zealand and Australia are use to crap fast food from BK MacD and KFC
any one coming to New Zealand buy your burgers from the local takeaway joint not Mac D or BK they are cheaper and taste like they should especially

Well, Spain has perfectioned their meat even before America was "discovered"(I'm Spanish and my uncle has a farm, his beef is unbelievable good even for me that I'm picky even with 500€ Iberian ham.
Spain is killing it with BK and McD. Would love a burger made of those McDs fried cheese bites, spicy chutney and bacon. Mikey you're a champion, love these vids!

Was that a rubia gallega cattle? I swear, best beef I have ever had among the "regular" cattle breeds (not wagyu or hanwoo, etc). My absolute favorite among the cows, a truly transformative experience! 😱
That Spanish burger from the world favorites menu served for a limited time at McDonald's was my favorite. Love that burger.

Hey Mike, why is it that Spain, South Korea, and India have better McDonald's/Burker King than the US? My local joints of each restaurant serve the plainest items. Why?!?!?!?! Why can't they be more like these places?
Because McDonald and the other chains have to up their game in this country or they wouldn't get costumers. Those 3 country you name are foodies paradise, you need to get your A game or beat it.
Because America doesn't really care about quality when it comes to important things like our healthcare, education, environment and food because corporations control ALL those things and the general public is to lazy to do anything about it.

Happy Valentine's Day Mike! I used to live in Spain so I loved this video! I always thought that the Mcdonald's and BK in Spain tasted better and was better quality than the US! I love the wedge potatoes and the croquetas are a traditional Spanish food. You can find them everywhere in Spain, so funny that Mickey D's has them too. I also always thought it was so funny that Mcdonald's served donuts. And BK served gofres (waffles) with chocolate sauce.

You should try the Euro Mania restaurant, while you're in Spain. I think it was on Wednesdays and Sundays that they sell offer food for 1 euro!! And it's pretty good too!

I like watching Mike eat because I have colitis and can't eat much. Overeating is a major trigger for an attack. I'm hungry most of the time. Seeing someone else enjoy her or his food is vicariously satisfying.:)
