Great video! You explained everything very well. I wish you all were closer. I'd have you build our 64'x80'. Struggling right now to find someone to build my trusses.
Southeast Georgia, hell down here they don't seem to know what a post frame barn is. You should hook up your camper and come down for a winter break working vacation. Bring the family.
Very informative Paul, I really don't care how long something takes as long as it's done to perfection!! That's why you and the guys are putting up my building! I'm really looking forward to getting this project started. Nathan is bringing in the dirt and rock this week for the pad prep.
Pin both tapes to a single screw then pull them both to 100 feet and check if they are equal or not at the 100 foot mark. They should be exactly the same and if that is the case hour nylon tape is good to go.
You start square, then you finish square. Nice!

Thanks, that’s the plan
Good instructions.

When taking diagonals, it is important to use a metal tape not a cloth tape because the cloth tape will stretch.
I have a 100' metal but a 300' nylon (?)/cloth. How far off do they get compared to metal?

I use vinyl coated steel tapes, no stretching
Excelente video saludos 👍👌
What is the frost line and snow load for this particular plan?
When you get to the top you’ll be glad you spent a little extra time at the bottom.

What is the diameter of the pier you use in this video?
What type of rock is the building pad made of?
