@@Joseph-nh6in Healthy food is just that, healthy. It provides basic nourishment and minimises exposure to high amounts of things that could be detrimental. That's different to saying it will _cure_ things. When you start making associations between being basically healthy and curing diseases (as substitutes for medical treatment) you start crossing the line into snake oil. He keeps asking them about their whereabouts because he lives in Brisbane and wants the people he’s working with to be near that area or close to it, it isn’t anything absurd but rather a logical thing to do if you’re planning on working with the individual in the future. Easier to communicate and reach out to each other like this yeah.

I disagree, Steve asking this question is nonsensical. He has already decided he is out well before speaking, therefore the question really isn’t necessary, nor is his belittling of the persons beliefs and passion in what they do. And now with even further technological improvements such as video calls too, I don't see how location is important at all. In fact, wouldn't you want your entrepreneurs to be traveling the world and doing business and deals rather than being stuck in one town where Steve is from? Nonsensical completely.

The issue is that none of it can be clinically proven to actually help someone get better. Anything to do with the body is individual and each case is a little different. Claiming something works is a huge risk.
What BS is this? She got sick so she wrote books? What makes her an expert? Sounds like a scam.
She attended school and had the proper training and became a licensed nutritionist after she discovered that food can be used to heal the gut. Trust me it’s not a scam, as I am a Health Coach who specializes in nutrition and made the same discovery before I went to school and learned more about it.
No talk about sales, products, turnover, overheads, profit, what she will do with 200k, what she wanta out of a shark, how the hell she got to a 1m valuation. Watching this after Dragons Den is like watching children pitch business ideas in grade 5.

Duxitisation B these pitches go for 45 minutes to an hour. They have to edit it out for a ten minute segment. Also any investor does their due diligence. They’re not just giving away dumb money.

Second time Steve has been totally spot on (1) the yoga pants that sense if you're on the right position - as an engineering student close to my degree, he was correct then and (2) as someone who powerlifts and has a few years of solid coaching and nutrition involvement, he's once again spot on. @BS Handle Created Saying that he doesn't believe in the whole super food thing is very different to saying it is complete nonsense. As an example, Janine's Boost Juices have been sold as some sort of super food and many of us are right not to be conned about this as they have very little nutritional value but I wouldn't say they are complete nonsense.

I essentially agree with what you are saying but here's the kicker. Had the Shark Tank said that Steve expressed the opinion that it was nonsense, then fine, I could readily accept that but they went further and claim he said it was COMPLETE nonsense. Basically attributing his original comment to mean he showed a 100% BS factor to her super foods claim.
I've seen him make similar claims before, he's a bit of a straight shooter.

Eating a well balanced meal according to a good omnivore diet combined with regular exercise and using standing desks to minimize sitting time should be more then enough to lead a good healthy life. But doing that is hard for a lot of people including me.

Depends my state requires either an RD or CNS to apply for a nutrition license and they can't advertise nutritionist or dietitian services without it

No nutritionist is much of a nutritionist. I've talked to a few and it doesn't take much to tell people what to eat and follow the latest diet trends. Only 6 to 7% of Americans are gluten sensitive, yet our stores are filled with food serving them. Nobody is fat today, they are all big boned and I never heard an obese (fat) person claim to not know how to eat healthy. Not one will blame their weight issue on them eating to much.
