I love Prada Amber ph it's the epitome of soapy scents. A tragedy if it's truly discontinued.
I own 2 versions of Prada Amber Pour Homme. The old and the new reformulated. The old is beast mode on me 12 hours plus. For me the best Prada of all time!
My bottle is about 4 years old and it's very strong. How old is your new bottle?

@@ScentsofStyle99 Here are the notes listed on the new bottle: Lavande de France, Geranium d' Egypte, Feuilles de Patchouli d'Indonesie, Vetiver d' Haiti et Daim.
Mine are different. I have Labdanum, Patchouli, Cardamom & Saffron so mine must be the older bottle. Thanks for this. Sorry I took so long to get back to you but it's been a busy week.

SJP Stash is backup bottle worthy. I have to get another. Buttery is one way to describe it. I would say it smells savoury or umami. If that taste had a smell.
Interesting list... i do like the reasons people are drawn to certain scents. Especially when it's not just because they like the way it smells. You sir, looking extremely presentable, i appreciate the tie. Honestly, a couple of these I've never heard of but I have tried most on the list and can relate to your statements describing why you enjoy them. So much so, I want to sample the Prada because most scents that are described as clean soapy, never deliver with my chemical make up. I am a big fan of clean, shower jell type fragrances they just tend to be gone within an hour and not because i go nose blind. I want to like oud, and I've spent a lot in samples pursuing quality notes of oud but to no avail. I also enjoy your presentations because I get a little history lesson along with your descriptions. Thanks for the Picasso recommendation. I had no idea it was available and associated in any way with the artist.... very intriguing... we enjoy your content very much sir.

I like Prada Amber PH so much - I bought it a few months back thinking that I’m getting the old version purple juice and I received the gray juice. Even though the newer version smells nice, I had to hunt down the older version which definitely has more depth going on and just overall more rounded
Interesting. I had heard gray juice rumors but wasn't sure if it was a thing. I'm disappointed in Prada for messing with a classic like that.

Jazz Club was difficult for me at first. The opening is a bit much for me, but after the first ten minutes or so, it is amazing!
You mentioned this before and I had the same issue. I think of that every time I talk about Jazz Club lately. That cigar smoke scent is different.

Legend spirit was also my first encounter with Invictus Aqua DNA, and it's great. Sad that most Montblanc have excellent blends but performance is underwhelming.

No. It's a very woody scent so certainly not for cold weather and it's not a barbershop scent and has no herbal notes so it's not old fashioned at all. It's just different. I'm sure a lot of younger people think I'm only into older scents because of my age but my preferred style is actually oriental which is sweet and spicy (quite modern) although I do like Iris which is more of a Millennial style (2010s)
