Got one of these myself running around 260bhp and 400nm (based off results of people I know with the same spec as mine). Absolute weapon man and on track it's another story, went on a trip to the Nurburgring last year and did a few laps, was blown away by how well it held up against cars you would think are way out of it's league 😂. Key is in the LSD man it just pulls you through them apexes.
I was shocked how well it handled compared to a Mk7! You're right, LSD is key!!

I just added another 40 hp to my Fiesta ST from Dreamscience and its already a big difference from stock. Imagine another 50 hp, I bet the car is even more insane with 290 hp..
Really opens it up having a map from what I've heard! 290bhp is definitely no slouch! Haha!

I have a mk7 stage 2 running at 240 bhp, its been lowered with mountune springs amd put a cpe engine mount on it which made the car awesome for handling.

Stunning set up, what the top speed of the mk8 st with the 290bhp set-up, cos some the mk7 st with the x57 turbo set up are hitting 166mph 🤯🤯

Cool video. There are a few brake options available. I would probably go for braided hoses, fluid, pads and uprated disks ~£700. Also, short shift would sort the sloppy gear change..
This ST is the best thing since the classic Impreza :)

Steering feeling light?! My ST-3 with LSD feels heavy and harsh on the streets. Actually tempted to see if I can have normal drive mode steering feel for Sport/Race mode. But I guess that would make it easier to understeer with the quick steering rack and/or lift off oversteer more?

Do you not think the lack of high rev power is because it’s not got an induction kit or aftermarket exhaust on? I suspect this would help is massively - they’ve now done this so hopefully their next dyno run will sort that out! Dave Holding’s car will be worth a look... Pumaspeed to have done a great job with their mapping!
George Ellis This spec kit was designed to be used in emission problematic countries. Dave Holdings car has a totally different mapping and should easily top over the 300 bhp now he has the full induction kit fitted.
I would expect it to free it up abit yes! Just with it being 3 cylinder, they can't flow as much air in general compared to a 4. Proper wizards at Pumaspeed, they're a great bunch! 👌🏻
I've heard nothing but dodgyness from them online reviews.
Would love to do this with mine but had a little crash a few months into ownership and the front end has had no end of issues in the year since 😂 can't wait to hand it back potentially getting another

Street tires would be better for comparison. How is the traction for example..
The tyres that come with the car handle it very well and it handles the power fine. Cadwell heats the tyres up very quick meaning the grip goes off abit too soon on street tyres, hence why they were swapped out 😊

And i think my standard ST is good enough but nothing wrong in a little bit more power.
Cracking cars! Ford have done a mega job... Pumaspeed have definitely enhanced it to make it that bit better 👌🏻

What boost are you running? Sounds and goes very well.
Not 100% sure to be honest! It wouldn't be much over OEM pressure though, there's still abit more to be had out of that turbo 👍🏻

Haha I get you. He meant they offer the kit with all emissions kit in place as a package. But they were testing it with the decat and a map adjustment on the day :)

@@christianpotaczaa2897 No problem mate. Your English is good 👍🏻 To get it to around 290bhp is around £2000 English pounds. Have a look at Pumaspeed's website, they can send you all the kit and tune!
@@GEARED_MrLucas Super price for tune but I'm live in Poland so here probably this isn't possible.
@@christianpotaczaa2897 They can send it all out to you, hardware and software so you can load the tune on yourself via a laptop. Give them a message 😊👍🏻
My mk8 is running 260 and it just keeps blowing injectors its starting to ruin the car for me🙃😑
Oh no that's not good! Have you spoke with Pumaspeed at all about it? They might be able to give you some guidance.

@@marti9 Can you swap them out for an uprated set and get it mapped again?
@@GEARED_MrLucas theres no uprated sets for the mk8 or i would have done that straight away, cars going in next week for its 3rd set of injectors in 2 years
@youtuber-cc8sx 98 fuel, its 600 a time from ford…i got a map selector put into the mode button it helped prolong them for abit because i drive alot for work and stuff
