There is not "One best band in the world", there are a lot of great bands and it's a matter of taste. I personnally can't stand The Rolling Stones. After more than 50 years of career, they still play like beginners..
@Lloyd Bonafide Nope..............................that would be...........................The Beatles. Even the Stones and the Who would tell you that. Van Halen too.
Also if ya dig this song by The Rolling Stones on youtube 😀 you may enjoy the song " Most of All " By Glenn Kaiser and Where Roses Grow Live by Rez Band Awesome songs check them out. I remember hearing the song by Led Zepp " In My Time of Dyin " during my drug years and made me think about death and Jesus. Then a hippy friend that dug Jesus told me more of Jesus love and forgiveness and how I could also know Jesus love. So in 1981 I cried out to Jesus and wow man He came into my life and I had and have so much joy and peace and now know that through Jesus when I die I will be with Him in Heaven. Hey Jesus loves each of you also and yall can know Him if you are at all open. Just cry out to Him and also read the Gospel of John in the Bible or check out the movie on TH-cam. 😀
Yeah they perked up with cocaine, Jagger's two chord songs, and their worst tour ever. I saw them in 1978 in Oakland on Jagger's birthday July 26, 1978. Jerry Hall was seated way up in the empty bleachers behind the stage. Worst concert I've ever attended. Keith wasn't even audible in the mix. Jagger and the band were bored shitless during the entire performance. No doubt several grams pulled them through. Two chords three chords every song from Some Girls sounded very very similar. Jagger thought he had a clue about punk rock, but was sadly mistaken. And of course almost none of the Stones' fans even noticed. Disco Miss You.
Yeah until you try playing the songs and you find that they are almost a three chord band. But they aren't. First because every so often they throw in a chord that most people with a normal hand span can't reach, across four or five frets, I continue to try those, and fail. Second because they use different tunings like Open G. I understand what you say as I saw them in London in '76, and it wasn't great, but that was mostly Earls Court and the acoustics or lack of. "Let's Spend The Night Together" the movie concert often gets slagged off, but for me it's great, cos it's rough and it swaggers. We went to see The Corrs some years ago and they were note perfect, pitch perfect, and stood there and played their songs and it was the most boring evening of my entire life. Ain't never been bored at a Stones concert.............................
