In France, choux crème is called choux à la crème, it's generally serve with hot chocolate crème on the top and it's called profiteroles. We used to serve it with ice cream in it instead of wipped cream!
I'm so glad I'm not the only person who watches videos in other languages I don't understand. I'm literally subbed to like 5 Japanese TH-camrs who speak exclusively Japanese with no subtitles and I live for their videos even if I don't know what the hell they're about. I watched like 2 seasons of ITTE-Q and had no idea what was happening but I still laughed my ass of. It's great. Also I love how super excited Miranda was about all the food, I'll check her channel out.
Sharla in Japan OMG, how do you not gain weight in Japan with all the yummy sweets. LOL I come to japan I gonna have to ride a bike everyday just from sweets. Also the Daifuku ichigo does it come with other things inside I can't have strawberries. Thanks for the video i am so hungry now.
Texan in Tokyo Okay I so wanna try the Sakura Mochi!!! need to get some sent here to the usa. But I am trying to finish college so I can get a job in Japan.
I never tried a sakura mochi, I am a big lover of mochi, I'm sure it's soooo delicious!! Choux Creme remind me a lot of the French pastries we get there, it's very popular in France, I know Japanese love French pastries so it would not surprise me that it's inspired!
Yay! I have been waiting for some Japanese Sweets on your Video's 😊 Some Candy reviews would be awesome so I can get some ideas on what to stock in my shop!
Choux or pâte à choux is actually a French pastry dough named for pastries that gained popularity and they looked like cabbages so they were called "choux" the french word for cabbage. Choux pastry is a staple of a lot of western pastry cuisine. Considering Japan's attitude towards France and French culture it doesn't surprise me that they have some food inspired by French cuisine. So yeah you actually didn't eat a Japanese treat, but a French treat with maybe a little bit of a Japanese twist.
Say it! Go ahead! The soft daifuku feels like a boob 😁😄😆 To be serious, I'm happy Miranda likes the most traditional sweet. Thanks for the very fun video! 😊
I totally love that girls hair! What a nice combo of colors! Looks so awesome, I'm boring, only got red and black :p Next time I will go multiecolor to! Hihi :D
Thanks for the video sharla, it's a nice way to take a break from cramming for exams. Can't wait for my trip to Japan I'm going to spend way to much money on every thing lol.
Most awaited video! I feel like it's been a year since I made the subs lol, can't wait to see Miranda's video, I'm so interested to see what kind of snacks she brought from Mexico. Sakura mochi and Daifuku added to my wish list :)
No matter what haters say Sharla we love you the sky is always beautiful no matter what jerks say cheer up and know that you are a great person ^_^ with love from your friend Kaze
Hey Sharla, i really appreciate your videos, where you present japanese food. But could you produce more videos, which show, how the life in japan is etc. Show maybe, how your job is like or how the traveling system is in japan or the school life etc etc. I'm talking about content, that shows the small things of japan. There are a lot of videos about the famous sights in japan, but there aren't a lot of videos about the dailylife in japan. I'm very interested in this style of content and would appreciate, if you could produce some videos with this content. Of course you should make what you want, but i would really like, to see more than differnet sweets and other food from japan^^ I enjoyed the video about the sakura in tokyo pretty much for example. Doing Vlogs, where you walk through the streets would also be interesting. Or asking some random japanese people, what they do and how they live their lifes and if they like it and so on.
We have something like Choux Creme in Hungary. It's kind of crispy on the outside and its filled with vanilla cream. It's one of the best sweets ever 😊 Now I'd really like to try the Japanese version to see if they are really similar in taste.
I haven't tried any of these!! New inspirations every time!! Thank you!! I want to eat all of them!! :) You have to eat the Leaf... you never know it might be a NISSAN LEAF!! :P
I'm visiting japan next week and I really liked this video because now I know that the sakura mochi exists and that I have to try it!! than you very much!! I'm from mexico too and I'm bringing some sweets as well
I think your shoe cream is puff pastry the dough for puff pastry is called Patachou in French it puffs up and is hollow in the center and you fill it with cream
I had a Sakura mochi, it was in the freezer section in my local Seoul plaza shop. I remember once defrosted it being really hard and lumpy I was saddened because of dreamt of trying it for years :( next time, next time. Also that cakie in the pod looks so cute I want one 😍😍
First time I had Choux Creme I ask my friend what it's called, when she said the name I was confused cause it sounded like ''shoe cream'' to me, so I was like wait what ? Good taste Sharla, Choux Creme and Sakura Mochi taste amazing :) Never had Yuki Mochi before tho, glad you recommended it, definetly going to try that one before I leave.
I was told the original name was chou à la crème, where chou is cabbage in French, from the shape of the sweet. Some time in the history it became shû-kurîmu and spawed a lot of variations, every one of which I like 😋
I ate daifuku mochi once and I didn't like it at all :/ but I guess japanese ones and french supermarket's ones a t'en' the same at all :) btw : love your videos Sharla ! You're are my fav TH-cam personality :D
I live in Alaska, and the only mochi I've tried is an ice cream filled mochi at the grocery store. When I first tried it I thought the mochi was fondant!
Omg idk if I've been watching too many of these Japan videos (it's not a bad thing I love them tbh) but I just got an ad for a maid cafe in and I live in the U.S.......
hi sharla!! i'm in tokyo this week and REALLY want to try the yuki ichigo but i can't find it anywhere! i've looked at a bunch of 711s, family marts, and lawsons but no luck. any recommendations on places to look?? absolutely love the videos, you inspired me to try so many new things here. thanks so much!

Love your videos sharla! Quick question,I heard in your first videos that you're a student and now your a translator there in Japan? Do you still work as a translator?
Do you have any plans for the next 5 years? And how is it dealing with the size of average Japanese apartments? The sizes I see in a lot of apartment tours look pretty cramped and it's a bummer
Sharla!!! I need to know where to get those little packages of Sakura Mochi... I cannot find them for the life of me :( Any chance that you can recommend a website or send me a ton of these hahahaha You are awesome :3
I will never forget the time I first tried mochi, I was about 8 and I put the entire thing in my mouth and freaked out because I had no idea it would be so gooey and spit it out because I was so surprised xD but now I love it since I know what to expect haha UwU

Steven Thomas You meant to tell me something?
Steven Thomas Then again looking at you Google+ account, you don't seem like a very elaborate mind.
