    GREAT VID.
    After 1.5 years on this Trike Using it all year but not tested in snow I can say I am impressed. Sod town riding get straight on the motorway like I do 5 days a week 44 miles round trip from Chesterfield to Ilkeston in any lane. Who the hell stops a bike with just the front brake, this has ABS, Traction control and 85mpg. I get off it stick all my riding gear under the seat walk round town in my underwire if needed. A guy and his son on TH-cam has done 250 miles a day for 5 days on a Tricity 300 and an R3. Work this one out then. A PLC programmer put his laptop under the seat, traveled Chesterfield to Cardiff round trip and claimed £0.45 a mile and gets paid for the job that’s 345 x 0.45 = £156.60. 345/85=4 gallons = £24. 2 guys on 1 tricity 300 did over 80 miles per hour on TH-cam. Add the storage option what currier or call out can you make money from with it.

    You're a cool guy. Thanks so much for the video. And congratulations to your new TriCity and for being the first in the British hemisphere who actually pronounced it correctly 😂 I always get the creeps when some guys from some big bike magazines call it like "electricity. A little thinking sometimes is needed by these so-called journalists. It comes from a "tricycle". Anyways, thanks so much for your imrpression!

    Can I ask if you had a waiting time to collect your 300 ? I ordered one yesterday (UK) but will have to wait till mid July due to what I was told a world wide shortage . they did say it might arrive earlier but not to get my hopes up .

    • @VandromedasTravels
      @VandromedasTravels  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not had Gill on the back yet - we’ll film when we do. Certainly, one up I can happily stay feet up at a standstill, but, you have to be aware that if you’re not perfectly perpendicular, it will want to wander as you pull away.

    Enjoyed the video, but not seen much more from you about the machine? Hopefully, you’ll make some content this spring and summer? I’ve heard you have to be quite careful with the locking mechanism, as if the wheels aren’t straight, you can get a serious wobble-on and even drop the heavy bike? Think I’m going to put my feet down until I feel very confident with my new trike.

    Hi great video, are you riding this on a car licence? If so do you have any advice on insurers? Also what do you recommend for locks.

    • @VandromedasTravels
      @VandromedasTravels  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve got my full bike license, but Gill rides it on a car license. Insurers? I use BeMoto - have for ages, best around for bikes and trikes - specialists and most cost effective. Locks-wise, the Tricity is a little different from a normal bike, so I’ve gone for LiteLock Golds - bang for buck and ease of use being the reasons.

    A transverse trailer sounds interesting, of course Mr Google shows length ways examples by and large(I owned a 2 and 3 bike trailer at various times, attached to the back of our m/h) . The double wheel adds some complication. Will watch the future episodes with interest + subscribe :-)

    • @VandromedasTravels

      There’s an outfit in Ferrybridge has transverse units specifically for this style of scoot. They can also customise more normal units. We’re unsure as to which route to go as yet - all will be explained!

      Hi, watched the video and it's great to see someone who has the same idea as I.
      Having just bought the Tricity 300 myself, I needed a trailer to transport the bike with my MH, read a few forums and this led me to Armitages in Ferrybridge, Knottingley , who have built a purpose built trailer to carry the Tricity and also 2 e bikes.
      I'm travelling up to Yorkshire tomorrow to pick it up. Great people to deal with so far and will let you know how I get on.
      I am now looking for tow hitch for my Bailey, any advice would be welcome although I will be asking Armitages for a price.

    • @VandromedasTravels
      @VandromedasTravels  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@philwilliams5198 Strangely enough, that’s exactly where we’ve been looking, too... with changing the van, it’s on a hold for a few weeks now, largely dependent on how quickly DVLA can get its finger out once the van’s delivered to the dealer, but yes, tow hitch, trailer, and maybe self-levelling from Armitages...

    if i buy one i need to know if i can ride it in my garden, from an 120cm wide alley i need to make a right turn into a 2 meter wide doorway, hopefully i can make the right turn into the garden.. can you make a sharp right turn with it?

    • @VandromedasTravels
      @VandromedasTravels  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s quite nimble being pushed, but you’d need to be careful - a bit of a 97 point turn will see it done... It’s basically hwat I do if I can’t be chewed to back the car further from the garage... ;)
