Excellent review, as always AC!! Dior Parfam is truly hypnotic but hard to source unfortunately, at least in this part of the world - Australia. The Sri Lankan sandalwood in this masterpiece is distinct and heavenly.
Thank you my friend :) I am glad you enjoyed the review. See I did not realize that the Sandalwood used here is Srilankan, this is why I like our community and you all, I get to learn... which I enjoy the most:). Thank you for enhancing my knowledge, I am very grateful :)
I love how you said the notes are very familiar, but the result is so unique. Your statement echoes a thought I've often had. That is, there are not only many note combinations that are yet to be done, but there are whole fragrances yet to be discovered within note combinations that have been done a million times. I find that fascinating!
Good job AC. This is the best designer fragrance in my collection. As a matter of fact, I enjoy it more than most of my Niche Fragrances also. A true classic.
Hi sir, once again i just want to say thank you for introducing me to this amazing fragrance,as you explain perfectly as always ,it is just brilliant.thank you.
Sir, You are a fantastic host and speaker. Really loving your reviews. And does this rose/oud combo in Dior homme Perfum gives that Middle Eastern vibe as I don't like that???
Been on my radar quite awhile. Quite difficult in the States to acquire but most likely worth it. Fabulous review. I would recommend you do a Dior Homme main 3 frags compared and contrasted. Just a thought. Cheers! ;)
Thanks Kyle, and I agree this is not only dark its also so attractive, its not that haunting sort of dark... as you say verges on masterpiece. Glad you enjoyed the review.
Never got into Iris fragrances (I still do have Valentino Uomo Intense , might be tested in bad weather or not in a mood of smell those couple of times) but thanks for sharing your thoughts ✌🏼 great video as always .
Ankit, nice to see you. this is not an iris fragrance though, so worth sampling. This is predominantly leather and woods with iris playing a supporting role.
Luckily I managed to purchase the last two bottles of DHP earlier today from the bottom drawer of my local Debenhams Dior concession, thank you so much for giving me the final push to purchase before its unavailable AC, with already having the EDT and EDP I sat on the fence for the last 2 years.
AC, you made get this today and wow.... It's a stunner and truly I am surprised it's marketed as a designer. This is niche quality and qualifies to be among the prive line. Thanks for the near perfect review.
Hi AC thanks for the wonderful review. I went ahead and purchased 2 bottles at my local pharmacy store after hearing that it’s discontinued. They only had 1 in stock but promised me they can either order it from their warehouse or I can pick up from one of their other branches. So the one I picked up at the store had a batch code 9A01 which I checked on checkfresh.com has production date Jan 2019. Which makes me wonder if it’s really discounted or not... the store salesperson also told me they can order DHP quite easily even though there’s not a whole bunch of stock (only half of their branches has stock and those only have 1 each) and she’s never heard that it’s discontinued. She said I can pick up the other one within two weeks, and it’s only been 2 days got a text saying it’s ready to be picked up. I live in Auckland, New Zealand btw and the store is quite reputable (Life Pharmacy) so highly unlikely to be fakes. And I couldn’t find them online either which is why I went to the store and paid retail lol. But because I bought 2 they said I can get tax off (no idea why) which is 15% off, now that equates to $190 nzd each, which is much cheaper than I thought. Anyways keep up the good work my friend!
Now that a few years have passed, there's talk again about slight reformulation to Dior Homme Parfum. Have you smelled any recent bottles since 2020? I believe Sebastian said he smells more rose now
Hello Sir,I'm so impressed when you get out that Ohhhh, wich made my to order 50 ml from Perfume Parlour. You put so much passion in your reviews, and I like so much that. Thanks for all and for the beautiful flowers which I can see in your house.
Thank you for such a lovely comment my friend, I am truly appreciative. I really love flowers, but at the moment there is a risk of me getting flu through pollen so I am avoiding putting them on.
Thank you for your appreciation Sir,for me is a big onor to writing me back. Allways is a pleasure to see your video's and I will never lose one. PS. I recived my 50ml,but because I never smelled the original,I don't have yet an opinion, probably I need more time for conclusions. Thank you again.🤗
Thanks John great ideas mate and I will do so... Your ideas are amazing and because of your idea my most watched video is the compliment gods video which I thought was an amazing suggestion.
AC sir , it's an awesone one and best part for me that it is non sweet and ofcourse the performance, luckily got from Cairo Duty free and loving to the core. Thanks a lot sir
Hi AC. I've tried this lately (Summer), and the leather seems to go a tiny bit rancid, or just not quite right. Not sure if that's the effect of Summer, or because of the mould/damp I found in my wardrobe! Do you reckon wearing it in Summer could have that effect?
Great review. I thought it was interesting you would think Al Pacino would wear DHP. I read somewhere that Pacino wore Lagerfeld Classic on the set of Scarface throughout filming. The cast and crew couldn't escape the smell. Pacino said he wore it to get into character. It's the reason why I bought a bottle, however it can be quite challening to wear, especially in the first hour or so. Have you tried it? And if so I'd be interested to see your take on it.
Hi Mate, thanks for the great input on what Pacino actually wore on the sets of godfather. I have only sampled Lagerfeld Classic once, and I did not like it at all. It was very intense and incisive, kind of like a knife stab at my olfactive senses, so I just kept the sample aside. i may have another go. The reason I thought it would suit Mr. Corleone because there is certain purposefulness about this scent and a certain edgy darkness combined with unparalleled attraction the kind that evokes a sense of mystery and curiosity arsing out of it. All the traits I could feel with the character in the movie.
Interesting take mate, I never thought of it that way but I can see why you would relate DHP to Corleone. By the way I'm not sure what was worn on the Godfather movies but I was talking about Scarface, Pacino's most iconic role, where he wore Lagerfeld Classic. I agree it's very intense, I sprayed some on my sister in laws wrist and within 15 minutes she was scrubbing it off with disgust. Very challenging but the drydown is where it's at if you can make it that far. I often pass on wearing it due to not being in the right mood to go through the first hour :)
Great input of carl lagerfeld mate, I also never made it to the dry down stage, i will give it another go. Sorry I confused the movies. Scarface also happens to be one of my absolute favorites, its intense acting which I truly enjoyed. I get your taste and i will soon be reviewing some classics and would be nice to get your views on them. Have a great weekend and truly enjoyed interacting with you my friend :).
At last, I managed to find DHP in Dubai for a great price USD 80/- Your picks have never failed. It was masculine, majestic and alluring.. It would be great if you could make a video on top 5 fragrances- OCCASION BASIS.... Thank you AC sir👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👌
Awesome Review! Dior does it's Parfums very well. I have all the 3 Parfums namely Homme,Fahrenheit and Eau Sauvage and love them to death. I hope that when they release the "Sauvage Parfum" it would be a masterpiece as well😬

To my nose , I smell the new 100 ml is totally different than the old one specially at the opening, slightly different in the middle (similarity 80%) to the old one and in the dry down 90% similarity. In the opening, the gorgeous oud note was disappeared. In the performance, (the new DHP is not beast mode at all) the new one 100ml is 35% less than the old version. the new version has less than 8 hours longevity and maximum 3 hours projection while the old one 24+ longevity and 4+ hours projection. In the scent, the new version is missed the depth, it becomes simple or normal fragrance. It depends on three elements only (wood, iris and leather) and become more wearable while the old version 75 ml has more depth and more notes in addition to the new one notes such as powder, cream, rose, leather and oud. The blend itself in old version 75ml is so rich like high end nishe quality and has more concentration however the new version is definitely watered down then lost lots of its distinguish in the scent itself and performance sides. In eazy way, The new DHP version is in somewhere between Dior Home Intense and Old Dior Home Parfum 75 ml To sum up, ithe new version is the diet version of the old DHP. Note: although all reviews said DHP 100 ml has reformulated the old 75 ml and new 100 ml but Dior still insist on writing the same number of formula. This is SHAME!
