    Congratulations sir on this fantastic milestone. You know like you it peeves fragrance lovers that most youtube reviewers will push and sing praises about one poor release after another but they won't give these middle eastern budget fragrances enough limelight. And you are absolutely right that if houses like rasasi push the envelope with their releases, modern designer houses will not survive. Congratulations once again.

      Thank you Siddharth, and yes 100% right you are. The value that these middle eastern house provide is absolutely phenomenal. I mean that Rasasi pour lui is absolute giant of a fragrance for £25.00 and sadly very few talk about it.

    You deserve 240k subscribers! And I am sure you will get there, AC! There is a lot of hard work in this video (as in any other of yours). I like your balance between niche, designer, underrated gems, and "clones". You got me with Qawha and Rifaquaat: how is the former in term of projection, sillage, and longevity? it seems all coffee scent fade very quickly on me and do not project: tried Hatir by Regalien and Golden Dallah by Xerjoff (i prefer the former at that price point). Again my compliments and thank you for all your reviews. Cheers!

    • @ACSmellsGood
      @ACSmellsGood  14 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Thank you Alex, most appreciate such lovely kind words. I have been testing Qahwa on my curtains and it really fills up the room. Rifaqat is an absolute monstrosity when it comes to projection. It also makes me queasy if I spray too much, so I really watch the sprays with Rifaqat but the dry down is divine!
      I have to try Hatir as I have heard praises in the past.

    • @alexchog9383
      @alexchog9383 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@ACSmellsGood Hatir is very good, it is an interesting take on coffee not sweet at all with very soft projection (and much much better than Golden Dallah, in my opinion). I just would have love it to last longer given the price point. Thanks again, AC! Cheers.

    With prices of popular designer fragrances becomming basically niche it is no surprise these middle eastern houses have been getting much more traction lately. Just a fresh personal experience: Afnan Supremacy Collectors edition blew me away. There is a lot of hype surrounding this fragrance so I was not expecting much when I ordered it, but man is it a awesome fragrance. After a long time a fragrance I want to wear few days in a row.
    Hopefully I will be able to test Rasasi Pour Lui soon. Also there is another Rasasi that is on my radar named "It's Essential" but that one is hard to find here in EU. Btw my SOTD was Legesi by Armaf and the credit for having this fragrance in my collection goes to you.

      @ACSmellsGood  14 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Thank you Martin, most appreciate the support over the years my friend. I also like what you have to say about the Afnan, others on this channel weren't that impressed.
      I will see if I can get a sample as I trust your nose. I have also heard about It's essential but never see it for sale here in the UK.
      Pour Lui is BOX OFFICE! and so is Ashaar, but you have to like complex dark and rich fragrances !

    I have only seen you and Joy Amin talk about Armaf Niche. I have Oud, Gold, Peridot, Pink Corak, and White Diamond. White Diamond is equivalent to the Lacoste you mentioned. Gold is intoxicating. I thank you for letting me know what Oud is a rendition of; I love it in cool weather. Sprayers are not good. I have to decant them into the atomizers; however, the juice is worth it. I would like to also recommend the Portfolio collection from Al Haramain. I think you may like them as well. Thank you for the video!

    Hi AC,
    First off, thank you for the incredible video! Your content always stands out, and I truly appreciate the passion and expertise you bring to every topic.
    I had an idea that I think your audience (including me!) would absolutely love: a video about the top 10 colognes with an Italian style. There’s something so timeless and elegant about that vibe, and I’d be thrilled to hear your take on it.
    Here are some classic suggestions to get you started - but I’d love to see your personal favorites too:
    1. Armani Eau Pour Homme
    2. Acqua di Parma Essenza
    3. Eau Sauvage Parfum
    4. Cappucci Pour homme
    5. Pino Silvestre Original
    6. Chanel Pour Monsieur
    7. Creed Bois du Portugal
    8. Aramis by Aramis
    9. Eau d’Hermès (1951)
    10. Acqua di Parma Intensa
    I’m sure your list would inspire many of us to try out some new scents or revisit some classics. Keep doing what you do best - can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
    Best wishes

    Greetings. I am very interested in the Rumz al Rasasi 9453 pour Lui. The note list on Fragrantica has cloves in it, and some of the comments mention it, too. On the other hand, I do not associate Jubi XXV, Pardon or Black Afghano with cloves. I do not like cloves and I have nowhere to test it, so how prevalent is the note in the composition?

    • @ACSmellsGood
      @ACSmellsGood  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I do get a bit of clove to start with but it doesn't dominate. I have also noticed one thing with my senses, if I try an unsmell something that I do not like, I keep smelling it in a fragrance. So, there is something to think about.

    AC another awesome video thank you i will try some of those.
    AC i have a question i have a very small collection but i just recently heard you mention synthetic notes or something like that.
    how can we tell if we are purchasing an "ALL" Natural fragrance opposed to one that has non-natural scents?

    • @ACSmellsGood
      @ACSmellsGood  14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Great question! Nearly all fragrances use synthetic as well as a mix of naturals. Some more than others but sometimes lack of craftsmanship ends up making a fragrance smell synthetic. Additionally, some houses don't even try to use any naturals what so ever but their fragrances are very smooth and well blended like MFK, and sometime Parfums de Marly.
      There are also some houses that do not use any synthetics what so ever. Actual names escape me atm but google might help.

  • @mindfulawareness1
    @mindfulawareness1 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    Much appreciated. Technical question though : is 'maceration' in the bottle actually a thing? Does the fragrance really change over time after you've 'put a dent' in it and left it for 6 months?

    • @dimitridiakovasiliou2453
      @dimitridiakovasiliou2453 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yes it is a necessary step for some perfumes, especially if the manufacturer was in a rush to release it before it was ready.

    • @Geo2010
      @Geo2010 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hey, you don’t need to “let it sit” for 6 months. After first initial 8-10 sprays let it sit for a week or two. After that you can use it. But in 6 months, even with use, some fragrances will change, mostly for the better, performance wise as well.

    • @ACSmellsGood
      @ACSmellsGood  14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I really do not know weather its a fairy tale or if there is some sort of science to it but I have seen some of my middle eastern fragrances really blossom with age. Prime example being Niche Oud, Daarej and also Lalique A L extreme. Don't ask me why or how 😁.

    • @dimitridiakovasiliou2453
      @dimitridiakovasiliou2453 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@ACSmellsGood Some ingredients are more sensitive to oxidation than others and if they have not had a sufficient exposure to oxygen then they have the potential for oxidation after you use them and have allowed some oxygen into the bottle. It’s a bit of a balancing act since some ingredients need more time or are more sensitive than others. Too much oxidation will destroy some molecules that you might find pleasant like the top notes. Many manufacturers insure that their products are fully macerated before shipping (so that all the ingredients have had time to stabilize and the perfume is matured, not “green”) but it seems that some are in a rush to ship them out so the bottles still have room for improvement. Usually the notes become more rounded over time. Temperature is also critical … I have left bottles outside in storage for a few years with very high extremes from +35 to -20 degrees Celsius and some got ruined while others improved.
