@@jokast8861 That's an idol group. Idol groups in Japan are mainly for oshi katsu, as they are chosen for their friendliness but not for their talents. If your performance is too good in an audition, you're not gonna make it. I even heard some idols were told not to dance too well but act more nonprofessional average girl. I admit they're given some really good songs once in a while though.
Same here! I am a native Argentinian (a very westernized country) who listen to J-Music almost exclusively (specially 2000s J-Pop) while my friend from Osaka loves more the Western music (specially McCartney).

@@jokast8861 yeah that makes sense but in my country most people prefers the monotone and repetitive mainstream music of the moment.
Yes M. Musume and SMAP are from the 2000s but the main scene of that time Is mainly female singer-songriter and popstars like Ayumi Hamasaki (my fav), Hikaru Utada (my 2nd fav), Mai Kuraki, Mika Nakashima, Yo Hitoto or Shiina Ringo (this woman is a godness of music!). The first two experimented huge success and become mainstream even in other countries, also entering in the list of best selling female artists of all time in the world.
people in osaka have seriously good taste in music ; please do more of these (i discovered so many new songs tonight thanks to you!!)

It seems like a lot of the music that is popular in the west is also popular in Japan. There's even a number of Japanese artists who are in the scene of typically American/western music genres.
While trap and similar rap styled music isn't my cup of tea usually, It's interesting that it's pretty popular in Japan, or at least Osaka.
Always nice to get some new bands/singers to listen to, and I love the variation of music in this kind of video!

I love Tokyo Jihen. Accidentally stumbled across their song 'Marunouchi Sadistic' while searching something along the words Marunouchi or similar.
Discovered the entire band and absolutely loved their songs.
