The state employee have not done right to the residents a 300% increase is gouging seniors that enjoy time at the parks, not having to stay home because of super high cost increase. let try to set this right by media. let the reps know we are not happy with their action on this.
Good informational video. Little Man was a perfectly happy laying there in this video. Hopefully one day we can share a beer and burgers over a campfire.
Thanks for the heads up 👍 yeah that's pretty confusing. I have just done any free camping or boon docking in New Mexico.. being a non resident and all. Happy trails to y'all
Thank you John. Very informative. More than 100 percent increases in many of the fee's is hard pill to swallow. Maybe, it'll fly, Maybe, not. I will be reaching out to my state representative.
Thanks John for the update. Also I was looking to purchase some off grid land out in New Mexico to live off grid in my camper and just becoming a New Mexico resident permanently. Thanks for the update sir..😊✌💯
I had planned to spend my retirement full time primitive camping in NM state parks. Not in a position to go out there now. I can understand needing to raise prices. Park workers need and deserve raises. But give campers a chance to pay much higher prices for the annual pass rather than getting rid of them all together. I'll end up living in a RV park or boondocking all the time. Can make it work but was really looking forward to enjoying those nice parks with their amenities.
Well, that prices me out. A shame really, not everyone including me can afford 30 plus a nite. More boondocks for me and that's OK. Now, I gotta get started nomadic again lol stay safe and healthy John.
That does add up, especially if you are not prepared for it. It shows how important it is to check everything out carefully when budgeting for a trip! My nephew managed to get the same look at a recent airshow- the sun sneaks up on you!😂❤
I visited the Living Desert in March. I couldn't believe the fee was only $5.00. They could easily charge double that or more. I thoroughly enjoyed it. What a deal!
Thanks John and Little Man -- I don't get the annual pass elimination. I understand prices need to go up, this is one of the most reasonably priced state park systems but they do need funds to operate. They should have just planned on doubling all of the out of state fees and 1.5 the in state fees.
Thank you, very informative. I wish they would just increase the price of the yearly park pass and leave everything else the same. if they increase to the proposed fees, I won't be buying another pass. I understand they need more funds but with those prices they are just going to see a drop in campers.
All them price raises just dont seem like a healthy way to attract people to the state parks in New Mexico....One thing ive noticed about state parks there is rarely do ever i see them full even in the winter...Sure , the big attraction areas might be a bit crowded but there is plenty of space beyond those spots in other state parks...This stuff will contribute to that for sure...Still think COE campgrounds are the best deal anywhere but i think N. Mexico only has 3 of those in the state that i can remember...Travel safe, stay well...
Thanks for sharing the info on the update bud
😄
Wow, that's quite the increase for camping. Still worth it I reckon. Good video, John. Thanks for sharing. "LIL MAN". he a cutie.
😀

Nice....

I get it so m a NY of the Parks need repairs but they should have been thinking about this year's ago.....instead of Ll at once increase......
The fix is coming in November and it's big.
Guess We will see.....I haven't heard that. I'll check into it.
Thanks John for the update. Also I was looking to purchase some off grid land out in New Mexico to live off grid in my camper and just becoming a New Mexico resident permanently. Thanks for the update sir..😊✌💯
Yeap

Understand that...

Well John go East if the Mississippi unless You COE campgrounds. Back home it's like $45.00 a night...easy Nags Head over $100.00 a night!!🤣
Nice to know.😊
😁
Everything else is going up they might as well take those prices up. They don’t want people to stand a chance.
The small towns will be the ones that pay the price....people will stay away for awhile......
The NM state parks need updating, they seem rundown
Yep.....due repairs.
That does add up, especially if you are not prepared for it. It shows how important it is to check everything out carefully when budgeting for a trip!
My nephew managed to get the same look at a recent airshow- the sun sneaks up on you!😂❤
Yes it does....
I wonder if senior discounts apply to any of that
No it does not if You are a out of State resident......don't know about in State residents.
That's a lot of increases in fees.
Yep....
I had the americas pass for 1 year it was a deal.
😀
The dog is wondering, who the heck are you talking to.
Little Man.......
So there pretty much doubling the price, I sure hope they don't stop selling the passes.
🤐
I visited the Living Desert in March. I couldn't believe the fee was only $5.00. They could easily charge double that or more. I thoroughly enjoyed it. What a deal!
Nice...!
Thank you, I really hope they do not increase the prices. People that travel and stay in the parks spend money in the local towns.
That is a fact.....alot of small towns will fade away.
We go to Brantley State park to take our boat out on weekends. $10 is insane!
Headed there next...
I know if they raise fees like that. I live here in New Mexico. I will just stay at a nice RV park.
😁

See ya later Rocky.
Bye.....
You're right. The New Mexico State Parks are in horrid shape and it's going to take money to fix them.
Yeap...110% agree....
I hope they at least keep the yearly pass.
I'm good to 3/25...guess We will see!
Sounds inevitable that they will raise prices to be more like all the other state parks here in the west.
So true....catch up time....
The increase are a lot. Ya might as well get a hotel or motel.
Up keep....$$$$

Thank for Your input
Those prices are ridiculous!
Thanks
I can't afford to stay in a pup tent.
😅
All the money is going in administrative pockets
Alot of the Parks need alot if repairs also......
Vetrens In New Mexico Free
Whatttt???
This is terrible!
Future is unknown...
Bidenomics. Just double or triple the cost of everything.
Hmmm.....
Has nothing to do with Biden
Parks sure will be empty!!!
At first they will be....
