    Remember the B8444S was designed by Volvo - Yamaha was simply awarded the manufacturing contract due to tolerance precision. Yamaha benefitted downstream by using modified versions in their MARINE applications...........but it was a Volvo initiative & design,

      It's a descendant of the SHO engine built by Yamaha for Ford, as it shares many dimensions with it.
      You can attribute it to Volvo all you want as they were owned by Ford at the time and had access to the same parts bin. So 🤷‍♂️

    • @washtaro
      @washtaro 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@rootbeer666 The B8444S shares its Yamaha origination, its transverse layout, and its 60 degree bank angle, officials of all three companies involved insist that the Volvo V8 is not related to the SHO engine; the die-cast open-deck aluminum Volvo block is clearly different from the sand-cast closed-deck aluminum SHO engine block although the two engines share many common dimensions including bore centers, stroke, bearing journal diameters, and deck height.

      If they share all of those dimensions specifically, then they are absolutely related.

    No. It’s ok though. I used to drive a lifted 70 Chevy with a 350 and dual pipes, was ok. I’ve owned two boats with 351w, sound was awesome on those with marine cam and no muffler. I have also owned two 7.3 Powerstroke diesel with turbo back straight pipe. My current 7.3 came with upgraded turbo and programmer with big exhaust. Above 2500 RPM it doesn’t have an exhaust note, more like a doom siren.

    My 2006 Volvo XC90 V8 4.4. Does not pull off like that. How do I get it to that point. Mind you, it has 333k and runs nice for it's age. So far I have changed the radiator, thermostat, front and back brakes, front rotors, front driver side caliper, fuel filter, air filter, vacuum pump and solenoid, hood release cable, brand new driver and passenger headlight assembly, DVD/SAT/NAV hard drive, oil change, coolant flush, transmission fluid change. Couple of things I want to get. Genuine Volvo maf sensor and spark old plugs. What am I missing for it to pull off that fast.
