I have an HX Stomp, an Iridium, and now an Ampero II Stomp. I love using all of these modelers. The HX Stomp is not quite as easy to dial in as the Ampero Stomp (Iridium is the easiest, but it is also just amps). I also find that the drives in the Ampero II Stomp are more usable for me than those in the HX Stomp. Where the Ampero falls short is in control - on the HX Stomp I can assign a CC# to any parameter of any model, and then control that parameter from my MIDI controller. The Ampero can't do that, and it has no snapshots (yet? - there are rumors). Loving the sounds I can get from the Ampero, and on the MIDI side it does allow me to enable or disable any block (effect). If they add more MIDI capabilities, this unit might cause m e sell the HX, but for now, I have no intention of doing so. Please do more videos on the Ampero, possibly including ideas on how to best control the A Stomp from a MIDI controller, or otherwise.
@Mark Seymour When switching presets, the DSP has to be reloaded, which takes a little time. You can usually here a gap in the audio when that happens. SNapshots don't have this gap because you aren't reloading the DSP - you are just changing parameters and enabling/disabling blocks.
@@steveliberty so would I be able to cleanly switch on and off a delay or reverb throughout a song with same amp and cab with no issue? Or you saying that that chokes out? Or does it choke out if you go back and forth between amps and effects quickly?
@@jordanprysmiki5361 TUrning blocks on and off from MIDI (or from the built in switches) is instantaneous. No choking. In fact, if you have 2 smps or two cabs in the same preset, you can flip one and and one off without an annoying gap. BUT if you switch presets, then there is a noticable gap becasue all of the effects need to be dumped out of memory, and new effects hve to be loaded into memory.
Hi, here are my direct couch impressions. After POD Go, NUX MG-30, and a number of pedals I was after something that would give me good tones without much effort. Ampero was a shot in the dark but it seems it was right in the center (3-4 months later)! It comes with many preloaded sounds plus a very good design of the interface and navigation making the creation of new tones fun and easy. There are plenty of other good appointments... watch other reviews, I like it.
Are you running this into an interface or using usb into a computer? The basic tonal characteristics of every patch sounded better than most other demos for this pedal, it all sounded great. I'm wondering what your secret is. Magic cables? Magic pickups? It can't be preset tweaking or IRs because you were using stock presets!

The best demo !!! Loved all presets you showed, and the song choices are all amazing!! Thank you !
Thank you!
Great demo. You can also use The stomp 2 as an audio interface, you'll record straight in digital, no need to use analog .

Great demo and playing !!! , cheers !.
Pro Demo, would love to see more of your process working with this. I'm about to purchase one. Your video was very helpful.
Thanks man! I guess I will do another more in depth video soon, stay tuned :)
what other special effects are you using besides the Ampero II for war pigs
Hi!! Nice playing!! I recently buy my ampero and would like to learn more about how create stereo sounds.

You do not see USB cabke in his video. So he used a crappy AI with lots of Electrical Magnetic interference.
I’ve got it. Poo1 is eddy van halen. The damn thing is amazing.
How it compare to the Tone-X
What model of Harley Benton is the blue one ? I can't find anything like that on their website
does it stereo sir? can i use different amps (left and right)? does it stereo (latency delayed)? thx a lot
Yes, yes, and yes.
Ciclotron amps ! The best options nowadays
in Line ou amp?
From 2:10 you have bad EM interference. Fix it?
Are there any other modelers you would put above this one for under $1,000 (FM3 used would qualify.)
What the difference in distortion with this and the flammer 200 or the arena 2000
can it chug like lamb of god metallica and othe famouse metal bands?
Sick tones. What red pick is that
Thanks! Dunlop Jazz III XL
What is the song at 9:20 ???
Есть гармонайзер?
Muito top🇧🇷
Nice SG :)
Thanks :)
Мало купить ampero - надо ещё под каждый пресет разные гитары иметь 😂😂😂
So I just had to listen for stereo example to have it sold to me…
Am I the only one here that felt that all those tones sounded really digital and plastic?
Yes
Yes

Yes
No you are not...
