    This was great! I also heard this in a Kelly Price song (G# 7alt.)
    Also, a B7/D# going to an E minor chord sounds nice. Thanks for the video.

    Can you please explain and breakdown the chords your playing? As I don’t understand how and when you can play sus chords, sharp 5, flat 13. I usually build up a diatonic scale in 7s how are those other chords used in diatonic? I thought they where chromatic

    • @andrewhartley4569
      @andrewhartley4569 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @UCy9mQ71rfNxN_CDe01SAyqQ how can you play any chord at any time? Diatonic chords means I’m the same key right?

    • @ThaRealLEGEND
      @ThaRealLEGEND 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use suspended chords anytime you want. Matching the melody note is the *secret.* Mix the notes of any chord around for sound quality, what your ear enjoys. Non diatonic chords and notes add complexity and sound beautiful, but the basic stuff goes a long way, "rootless voicings, drop 2's ect". Just keep practicing, it'll all gel!

    • @ThaRealLEGEND
      @ThaRealLEGEND 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@andrewhartley4569 yes. Diatonic meaning that they belong to that key signature. What key do you play your best in?

    • @ThaRealLEGEND
      @ThaRealLEGEND 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@andrewhartley4569 Once you learn every key, you can see how all the chords connect. But, before I even learned all my keys, I was obsessed with passing chords. You can get to a point where you don't have to play in *"a key"* because you mastered ripping up melodies. If a chord from any other key has some corresponding notes, or even just matches your melody note you can use it. As long as it's tasteful to your ear. It's your creativity, nobody can say your wrong! That's why it's called theory and not absolute.
